C.J. Lin of the Los Angeles Daily News is reporting that Rep. “Buck” McKeon wants answers in release of suspect in killing at North Hollywood Sears’ lot as outrage after man sought in 2009 shooting skips bail in Puerto Rico continues to grow in California over the teen text murder.

Rep. Howard “Buck” McKeon, R-Santa Clarita on Tuesday, July 6 2011, in a letter to U. S. Attorney General Eric Holder asked him to investigate the release of the suspected killer of a Granada Hills teen by a Puerto Rican judge despite authorities’ requests to keep him in custody. Rep. Howard “Buck” McKeon has asked for information on the release of Zaren Manjikian, who is wanted on suspicion of killing 19-year-old Mike Yepremyan in a Sears parking lot in North Hollywood in November 2009.

Zaren Manjikian allegedly shot Yepremyan in the back of the head over a text message in which he called someone a “bitch,” police said. As we all know since Rose Speaks and the L. A. Times have continued the coverage and after an 18-month investigation, U.S. Marshals tracked Manjikian to an apartment in Puerto Rico and arrested him in May. Authorities asked Puerto Rican Judge Gloria Maynard to hold Manjikian, 23, without bail during extradition proceedings. But Maynard set a bail of $50,000. Manjikian posted 10 percent of it, was released from custody, and promptly disappeared again.

“The action of this judge in Puerto Rico was an affront to law enforcement, effectively nullifying nearly two years of work LAPD detectives put in to capture the killer of Mike Yepremyan,” wrote L. A Councilman Paul Krekorian asked those questions in a letter that Representative McKeon forwarded to U. S. Attorney General Holder. “To ignore a no-bail arrest warrant and extradition request, and to release a murder suspect who is a proven flight risk on absurdly low bail of $50,000, is an abrogation of justice and puts the public at great and unnecessary risk,” Krekorian wrote. “There can be no rational explanation for this bizarre decision by Judge Maynard that would be consistent with the faithful performance of her duties as a judge.”

L. A Councilman Krekorian has also asked U.S. Sens. Dianne Feinstein and Barbara Boxer to pressure Puerto Rican officials to catch Manjikian. A motion that Krekorian authored that calls for a federal investigation will likely be heard by the council this week or next.

“There certainly should be a federal probe,” said John Nazarian, the Yepremyans’ private investigator and spokesman. “For the family, it was another devastating blow. “To have Judge Maynard to make such a casual, off-the-cuff decision, is almost criminal. It is a total outrage and a slap in the face of every legitimate judge.”

A second suspect in the case, Vahagn Jurian, has also been charged with murder. Jurian, 23, was arrested during a traffic stop last month, police said. He was ordered to be handed over for trial by California Judge Nudell this week for the teen text murder case. Jurian is suspected of driving the getaway car after Manjikian allegedly shot Yepremyan.

In a text message sent to Mike Yepremyan’s girlfriend, Yepremyan called his girlfriend’s friend, Kat Vardanian, a bitch, said Detective Richard Wheeler of LAPD North Hollywood Division. Vardanian was with the girlfriend at the time and saw the text message. She memorized his number and began calling family and friends, Wheeler said. Mike Yepremyan began receiving calls from strangers to meet at the Sears parking lot. Manjikian and Jurian met him there, Wheeler said.

Art Yepremyan, Mike’s father, said he was glad to hear of the possibility of a federal investigation. He was still trying to comprehend how Manjikian could have been released. “Justice is going to be taken,” Art Yepremyan said. “This was our only son. And he was killed for what?”

John J. Nazarian remains in contact with Rep. Howard “Buck” McKeon’s staff at the representative’s Washington D. C. office to monitor the progress of the request for an investigation, in an exclusive comment to Rose Speaks.com Mr. Nazarian remains hopeful that those responsible for the murder of Mike will be brought to justice. John J. Nazarian predicts that more arrests will come.

I am wondering now that Vahagn Jurian has been ordered to stand trial on the murder if this might not be a great chance for him to make a deal with the state and not go down alone for this horrible teen text murder.

Well here we are going into day three of the prelim and it is nothing short of a war. Day three will be June 30, 2011. The last two have been a battle of two great legal minds, Alex Kessel for the defense and LA Deputy DA Edward Nison for the prosecution. Mr. Kessel has to be in Federal Court on Monday and he and his client, Vahagn Jurian agreed to the June 30 date. For the defense you have one of the best defense attorneys money will buy, Alex Kessel. Funny this is “great” lawyer number two, the first was none other than Anthony Brooklier. How are these retainers being paid, you have to wonder? First we had Khatun ‘Kat’ Vardanian arrested for murder and Brooklier was brought into the case, and now her “cuz” is charged with murder and we have Mr. Kessel. Thousands of dollars are being spent and it is a sunny day for defense lawyers, you have to love these Armenians!

Vahagn Jurian aka “the little guy” aka “shorty” was reported as the driver who assisted in getting the gunmen out of the area after they killed Mike Yepremyan. Yes, I know he did not pull the trigger and it is being presented that he did not know what was going to happen. Now, here is the rub if you will, I go someplace to “talk“ and out of nowhere one of my friends pulls a gun and murders someone!!!! I agree, Holly Shit! Most people would either stay to talk to the police or even render help. Or, here is a good one, go to the nearest police station and tell the cops what had just happened. Not “the short guy,” no siree. Napoleon does what every innocent person does, he flees the scene and then the country, all behavior of an “innocent bystander”…please, who is selling this? Let’s hope that Judge Nudell is not buying it.

Well, (I am channeling Jack Benny here) Judge Karen J. Nudell’s Van Nuys courtroom was given even more testimony as to the issue of “Hand Jobs.” Part of what Mike Yepremyan did not want to say when he initially met with Vahagn and Zareh just before they killed him was he was not happy that his girlfriend was with “The Bitch.” The other issue was that Khatun “Kat” Vardanian was going to some adult store to buy “LUBE”, to use on one of her boyfriend’s wanker!!! It appears she likes to jerk some guy off and likes to make sure all goes smoothly. Folks, I don’t make this stuff up, it was discussed in an open courtroom in Division 112, Van Nuys, California. We have the driver, “Little Shorty” or “The Short One,” “Small One,” Vahagn Jurian going to the aid and honor of his cousin, Khatun ‘Kat’ Vardanian who is shopping for “LUBE” so as to give a nice and smooth “Hand Job“ to her very lucky boyfriend(s).

So, am I to understand clearly that all of this, Mike Yepremyan’s murder, was for one, texting to his girlfriend that Ms. Vardanian was a “bitch“ and now also keep in mind this was a private text message to his girlfriend Danielle. And the back story was also involving “lube“ and “handjobs”? Back in court on June 30th, all we will need is “raincoats” and “umbrellas,” at this pace.

Anger continues to mount that Puerto Rican Judge Gloria Maynard allowed 23-year-old Zareh Manjikian, the primary suspect in the teen text murder of Mike Yepremyan, to post $50,000 bond in late May, despite specific protests by the Los Angeles Police Department and District Attorney Steve Cooley had requested Manjikian’s extradition to Los Angeles on a no bail warrant. U. S. Marshals found 23-year-old Zareh Manjikian, living in a beach town apartment in Carolina, near San Juan, Puerto Rico.

Federal marshals on the island surrounded Zareh Manjikian’s apartment complex in Carolina the capitol of Puerto Rico. The 23-year-old finally appeared, pulled out in his car and headed down the coast. Marshals followed him into a neighboring beach town and, when the opportunity came, swooped and boxed his vehicle in. He was hauled away in cuffs. Judge Gloria Maynard ignored a request from authorities in L.A. to hold Manjikian without bail. Judge Maynard released the murder suspect on May 13 on a $50,000 bond, officials said. Manjikian hasn’t been seen since.

On June 8, 2011 City Councilman Paul Krekorian called for a federal investigation into the decision by the Puerto Rican judge to release the murder suspect. Krekorian introduced a motion calling on the Los Angeles congressional delegation and Senators Barbara Boxer and Diane Feinstein., to push for an investigation by the FBI and other relevant federal agencies.

“I cannot comprehend any justification for this judge to release a murder suspect who may be responsible for brutally taking an innocent life over nothing more than a text message,” Krekorian said. “This bail decision is so completely contrary to standard protocol it defies any explanation based on law, evidence or justice.”

When the slain teenager’s father, Art Yepremyan, took the call from a detective informing him of the arrest, his hands trembled so hard he had to pull off the 405 Freeway. At last, he felt some closure. But that feeling was short-lived. Los Angeles Police Detective Thomas Townsend, who has been investigating the killing, was beside himself. “How do you allow a murder suspect out on a no-bail warrant, how do you not honor that?” he said. “Where’s the justice there?”

“This emotional roller coaster, it’s just terrible,” said John J. Nazarian, a private eye hired by the Yepremyans to help find the suspect. “It was … the worst-case scenario that could be imagined for the parents of a boy who was killed, to see their boy’s killer caught, captured, only to be released.”

The November 2009 killing that Manjikian is accused of committing drew national attention after being detailed in The L. A. Times last year. The events that led to Mike Yepremyan’s death began after he sent a text message to his girlfriend, calling her friend Kat Vardanian a bitch.

According to prosecutors, Vardanian saw the text message and, enraged, called her brother to beat up Yepremyan. Soon after, Yepremyan began receiving phone calls from a stranger who eventually told him to meet him at a Sears parking lot in North Hollywood, according to witnesses. There, Yepremyan and several friends encountered two men. The conversation appeared to be coming to a peaceful conclusion when, suddenly, one man struck Yepremyan. Right after that, authorities said, Manjikian brandished a gun and shot the 19-year-old in the back of his head. Manjikian and the other man, identified by prosecutors as Vahagn Jurian, sped off in a black BMW with no front license plate.

Last week, Jurian’s Van Nuys home was being watched by police, who moved in and arrested the 23-year-old on suspicion of murder after Manjikian’s arrest. He remains in custody on a 3 million dollar bail.

John J. Nazarian predicts there will be other arrests made soon in this case. Let’s hope so for the family of Mike Yepremyan

Today, June 2, 2011, the alleged driver of the car connected to the murder of Gombert Mike Yepremuyan were arrested by the FBI in Los Angeles; the brother of the shooter still sits in jail in Puerto Rico on a $500,000.00 bond. The shooter has again disappear after making his $50,000 bail in Puerto Rico and is believed to have left that Island, perhaps with help. Wonder why one brother got help to run and the other brother sits in jail in Puerto Rico but has yet been returned to Los Angeles. We “believe”, this is the first of multiple arrests that will be made over the next thirty to sixty days. The shooter, an unidentified man, and Vardanian’s cousin, 22-year old Vahagn Jurian, fled from the scene in a black BMW with no license plates later found abandoned by police. You have to wonder if “deals” are going to be offered to the driver of the car to find the shooter and hope he is where he can still be sent back the U. S.

If you remember 19 year old Gombert Yepremyan, was a fine young man known to friends and family as “Mike,” and was brutally murdered over a text message. Mike was a student at Pierce College and worked as an emergency vehicle dispatcher. A devoted son to his loving mother Ani and father Art Yepremyan, Mike attended LA Baptist High School where he met his lovely girlfriend, Danielle Wegrzyn. He was a good kid who worked hard and kept out of trouble. One Valentine Day, Mike borrowed some money from his father, Art Yepremyan to make sure every girl in his high school class got a long stem red rose that day. Mike had talked to his parents just two weeks before his death, and honoring that wish, Mike’s organs were donated saving so many additional lives, even in death, Mike gave to others, although they were strangers.

On Nov. 18, 2009, Mike was murdered on the corner of Laurel Canyon and Victory Blvds, at the Sears parking lot in North Hollywood. Earlier that evening, Mike had sent a text message to his girlfriend, Danielle, warning her to “Stay away from that bitch,” that bitch being Khatun “Kat” Vardanian, a girl Danielle had begun hanging out with occasionally. He just had a bad feeling about her…little did he know how prophetic that feeling would be. The text message came through while Danielle’s iphone was sitting in her car’s center console, where Kat saw it, went into a rage, and immediately set in motion the events that led to Mike’s death only hours later. She allegedly called relatives who got together an Armenian posse who went gunning for Mike. Mike and his school buddies agreed to meet them to “talk it over.” But before they knew what happened, Mike had been shot in the neck, hitman-style. The getaway driver fled the country, however he appears to be one of the ones coming back to the U. S. today. Murdered over a phone text message. “Every time u hang out with that bitch u guys get hookah. Is there something cool bout her n hookah that u enjoy so much?” he text-ed”

Remembering back:

Photographs line the walls of the Granada Hills home, of a young man with warm brown eyes and dark hair. It was a warm Saturday afternoon. Beams of sunlight catch on the glass frames.

His bedroom was on the first floor, off the living room. It’s open and airy, with hardwood floors and a window that looks over the backyard. The bed is freshly made, clothes and other belongings tucked neatly away in the wall length closet. It looked as if Mike was about to come home any minute instead of long ago buried.

“He was a good man. Very calm, very nice boy, his first goal was to become an astronaut,” said Ani Atajyan, Yepremyan’s mother, seated on a sofa beside a photograph of her son. “He was very interested in the stars. He was always searching, searching, searching to know more, more, more. And he never gave me half his time,” she said, wringing her long, thin fingers. His sister Christine, is now almost 8

We will stay on top of this case and hope to have an interview with Mike’s parents this weekend as to how do they feel that it appears that the judicial system is beginning to work, and those who murdered their son “might” now be brought to justice.

Seldom do I ever get a chance to just unwind and relax and think nothing except just the food I am eating. Well I got together with a ‘re-new’ old friend, does that make any sense? Let me explain, I met Daniel DiCriscio years ago, a very long time ago. He was employed at the Jose Eber Salon and had just launched his music career. Funny as it seems I remember that CD and it was not bad. I was developing my new business and offices and Daniel was busy with his hair and as I said his music. This guy has some real talent other than being ‘Daniel’. Go ahead and Google him, after you Google me.

Recently his mom died and we communicated both by phone and email and I could hear the pain in his voice as well as in his writings. His emotions were ones that had escaped me during similar circumstances that I had and I felt bad that he was at a loss in his mother’s death. We spoke further and again, it was good for me in away that is hard for me to explain.

Well through the last couple of years Daniel has assisted me in a few projects and he, like myself are tough to miss. He has a presence! The great blond hair and of course his style of dress, too bad those in power during the Anna Nicole Show missed him and found that ‘mess’ who played too many episodes. Booby Bobby or Bobby Boob, whatever. The two of us make an interesting ‘set’, black and white, sour and sweet, Beauty and , well enough, you get my point.

I suggested we get together for a bite to eat and the amazing thing here is that we are both very entertaining when it comes to the rich and famous. It was to the point I was wondering how have we missed what could be one of the best duos since Dean and Jerry, Amos and Andy, Jan and Dean, and maybe even Mutt and Jeff. My point here is that we could both have a new career, we had each other laughing and on serious points we were both on target. Especially, our thoughts on Anna Nicole Smith as well as others both in and out of Hollywood. My perspective is sarcastic and stinging; Daniel has what I call a ‘snap’, like get over it. Call me a little odd, but I was very entertained and realized it was just him and me.

I am posting this picture to make my point, when it comes to ‘Hollywood Insiders’ no one can come close to either one of us. And we both understand how far to the line we can come after all of these years bumping around Hollywood. Speaking for myself, there are things that I would never speak of and a book, is never going to happen. For Daniel the stories about Elizabeth Taylor alone could fill two chapters in his book. My time with Miss Taylor could fill maybe ten pages….thanks Adam! I recall my first encounter with Peerez Hilton and thought, “ Beast “, and having to do a short pilot with him, Lisa Stanley of KRTH ( she is the best ) and Ryan Seacrest’s assistant, what’s her name……the painful part was Peerez Hilton…and those feet!

All I am saying is watch, there could very well be some very interesting ‘tea’ coming along and presented in away that only two people in this town could present, John & Daniel or Daniel & John……that will be a hump to stroll over…..in time.

After being unable to reach an agreed settlement between Virgie Arthur and Teresa Stephens that was agreeable to both parties in the Virgie Arthur vs. Howard K. Stern, Larry Birkhead, TMZ et. al. defamation case and conspiracy to defame.

Today, March 31, 2010 Arthur has filed a Notice of Nonsuit in regards to dismissing Teresa Stephens from the Harris County Case

I do not expect any of the conditions of why a settlement was unable to be reached. However if either side does release a statement in regards to Stephens being released from the lawsuit pending in the Harris County 80th District Court by the Honorable Larry Weiman, Rose Speaks.com will attempt to get an on the record comment from both sides.

We here at Rose Speaks.com are glad to see Ms. Stephens, a blogger who lives in Texas, dismissed after almost two years and wish her all of the best.

In other filings with he court filed with the Court after 5 P. M on March 30, 2010, Art Harris has filed a “Conditional Motion to Quash” the deposition of Turner based on three reasons. The deposition is scheduled for Friday April 2, 2010.

Well let the games begin… In a filing full of false information (And God I hate to side against a good law firm), Amanda Bush on behalf of her client filed a Motion to Quash Deposition of Turner based on “At the time of filing this Motion, counsel for Harris has not received a response. On information and belief, counsel for Harris believes that Turner intends to quash the videotaping of her deposition late Thursday, April 1, 2010, and the Court is closed on Friday, April 2, 2010 for the holiday.” I hope this is one damn good witness Ms. Bush has and one with a LOT of money that can fight off perjury charges and a Civil Suit, because that statement is an out and out lie to the Court by an officer of the Court, which last I checked was pretty serious. Shooting back Virgie Arthur filed Turner had NEVER said and DID not intend to file any Motion to Quash. For those lawyers needing a refresher course I had until 5 PM today to file a Motion to Quash and Harris’ counsel knows that. The holiday, Mmmmm every lawyer that intended to be here had confirmed including Ms. Bush’s boss that he would even stay to Saturday to finish all of this up. So to say I did not want to be cross examined by him is bull shit, I asked if there was any way because of my illness if they could trade out time and try for both sides to wrap this up in six hours if not I would continue to do the best I could through Saturday. Folks this is why I am so angry at Harris for deleting those emails and documents, it seems the only person everyone agrees has not is me… I am hoping we can get an emergency hearing tomorrow and proceed. However it might be Harris’ attorneys strategy to stall until I am on pain management medication and can’t give a deposition before the hearing to bust Art Harris on April 30. What does a well respected Law Firm do when a client screws them over and leaves them to clean up the mess. I guess some consolation is that Harris is now in trouble in Florida in the Haleigh Cummings case for the very same situation he finds himself in the soup kettle in Texas. I will have a lot more to say about Harris’ credibility among his peers of independent investigative reporters and where he actually is when “out of town researching a big murder or case”.

This is a “fun article” and one I have been laughing about since learning of it yesterday.

As Rose Speaks.com had previously said, Don Clark, Wilma Vicedomine and Tom Pirtle were served the night of October 13 to be in the court as hostile defense witnesses for Howard K. Stern the morning of October 14.

They went to a Harris County criminal court the morning of October 14 to fight the subpoenas and the judge gave in a tad or at least the date, the Harris county judge gave them until Tuesday, October 20, 2009 to appear in Los Angeles.

Thus what I call the dance began it seems whoever subpoenas you has to pay your expenses, which brings up Mo Mo again, and how much was he paid?

Anyway back to our article today. The defense team told Ms. Vicedomine that they were willing to do a 48 hour notice “IF” they decided to they wanted her to testify as a hostile witness for the defense. However, there was a glitch in that California was ok with that but the Texas crowd did not want to pay to go before a Harris county judge again. I “think” the defense team for Stern could have faxed the agreement to the Harris county judge that the Texas people were just on stand-by and possibly would not be needed.

However following a barrage of emails of if you want me I am coming Tuesday and Howard K. Stern is paying for everything under the statute for out of town and out of state witnesses.

Thus after a week going back and forth with Vicedomine insisting on Tuesday October 20 quoting the order from the Harris County judge, Stern’s legal team made the reservations and accommodations for Don Clark and Wilma Vicedomine. I am “assuming” that Mr. Pirtle took the defense offer of a 48 hour notice if they need him.

At 3:00 AM yesterday, Sunday morning, the plane tickets and the lodging fell into Vicedomine’s email box.

The accommodations you ask? Well they booked them on a plane leaving Houston at 6 AM this morning, October 19, with several hours lay over in Phoenix. The five star accommodations is a tad lacking per Vicedomine, it is not a five star hotel it is not even a 2 star hotel and it is in the worse part of downtown L. A. It seems like the Stern legal team booked them into the Metro Plaza, see picture above and then one here.

When I interviewed Ms. Vicedomine for this article I have to make a full disclosure that I was laughing so hard I was doubled up and had to keep asking the same questions over and over. Funny I was the only one laughing she was NOT.

I asked her for a quote on the record as soon as I stopped laughing so hard I could get a full question out. Vicedomine was more than happy to give me one; “Thanks Howard for the roach infested ancient hotel, not funny”.

Remember that song Hotel California, I don’t remember the words but could this amusing antidote fit that song?

As one person close to the legal proceedings said to me, ask Wilma Vicedomine if she can spell R-E-V-E-N-G-E. This source also told me that Metro Plaza was raided about once a month to clear out the service industry that most used the hotel; you know that oldest profession known to mankind, which just made me laugh even harder this morning.

With that in mind it makes the Metro Plaza saying even funnier: “At the Metro Plaza Hotel, it’s all about you. You are our guest, our joie de vivre, our raison d’être. Come stay with us on your journeys and travels, and let us take care of you. Let our 80 luxuriously-appointed guest rooms and suites be your home away from home. I agree can you spell R-E-V-E-N-G-E?? I thought that this would be one of the lighter moods and articles through this whole saga. Why is it I have that Aretha Franklin song playing through my head today?
