Anna Nicole Smith and her Crew

Come into my web said the spider to the fly, just thing of Anna Nicole Smith as the spider and those around her were a feast of flies.

Here is the picture enlarged.

Per the L. A. Magazine’s investigative journalist, Steven Mikulan, “Anna Nicole Smith was about Multiple lovers, piles of pills, paternity tests. Take a courtside seat in the eye-popping trial that followed the former Playmate’s fatal overdose.”

“There’d always been something outsize and outlandish about Anna Nicole Smith. She stood nearly six feet tall and at the time of her death in 2007 weighed 178 pounds. Her surgically inflated voluptuousness and ditzy sexuality transformed everything she touched into parody…”

…..but may as well have been created in Andy Warhol’s Factory. Her peripatetic life was a pop fable about the meteoric rise of a mediocre talent: During her 39 years, she’d been a stripper, a Playboy centerfold, a Guess Jeans model, and the star of her own reality-TV show….

…Anna did achieve a genuine homage of sorts to [Marilyn] Monroe, though, by dying of a prescription drug overdose in Hollywood—even if it was Hollywood, Florida. Among the dozen drugs identified in her system was chloral hydrate, a potent sedative that had been discovered in Monroe’s blood, too. In the last years of her life, Anna dined on a buffet of prescription opiates (pain suppressants) and benzodiazepines (tranquilizers). Her medicine cabinet included methadone, Dilaudid, Vicodin, Topamax, Xanax, Ambien, Klonopin, Demerol, Lasix, and Valium. She needed them, Smith said, for pains in her back, head, hands, and from her breast implants—just about everywhere—as well as for restless legs syndrome, insomnia, seizures, and migraine headaches. The ingestion of so many opiates left her severely constipated and beset with stomach cramps. Two doctors who examined Smith found her childlike and distant, uninterested in anything that did not involve her instant pharmaceutical gratification….

…Prosecutors produced paper blizzards of multiple and repetitive prescriptions written for Smith under a variety of names, among them Vickie Marshall, Jane Brown, Michelle Chase, Susie Wong, and Charlene Underwood; the doctors were additionally accused of writing prescriptions for Howard Stern and others that were intended for Smith. A typical charge was for the crime that occurred on November 24, 2006, when Dr. Eroshevich prescribed Valium, Vicodin, and Xanax for “Charlene Underwood,” even though the drugs were sent to Anna in the Bahamas. Eroshevich was also accused in this particular charge of using her former husband’s birth date, instead of Smith’s, to avoid the chance of the prescription being traced to Smith…

…The three were looking at less time after the judge tossed out a few of the charges and handed the case to the jury, which would have to read the minds of the three defendants: Were Anna’s friends fame moths and manipulative hangers-on? Or was Smith some charismatic goddess who attracted disparate personalities eager to do favors for her—like risking their careers writing out Vicodin scrips? For people who weren’t involved in the case, it didn’t matter. Anna Nicole Smith was a diversion, a trifle; even in death she managed to be encircled by calamity whose entertainment value obscured the tragedy of it all. …

Part two will be on Sunday December 26. It will include more of the article as well as my thoughts on how this journalist summarized the life of Smith….”

Anna Nicole Smith and her Crew

With the wrapping up of all things Anna Nicole Smith, which gave this site a platform to provide legal papers on interesting cases, we say goodbye in 2011 to Anna Nicole Smith.

The only lawsuits left is South Carolina, which I think is going to settle out of court with Susan M. Brown’s insurance policy. We have the criminal case hearing and possible sentencing on January 6, 2011 which I hope the judge drops it or kicks it, anything but a new trial. Finally we have the U. S. Supreme Court with a hearing and oral arguments on January 18, 2011 and will issue it’s opinion by June 2011

We are going to turn our attention to All things Michael Jackson with the new year and cover other cases that catch our attention.

However for the next two weeks we will be saying goodbye to Anna Nicole Smith with a series of articles with final papers as they are filed.

The picture with this article comes from a Magazine I finally received a copy of and I am reading the long article now. It deals with ALL of the players as pictured above and one of those pictured is the “real” Michelle Chase. Who do you think Michelle Chase is? Here is the picture enlarged as you guess which one of these people IS the real Michelle Chase!

U. S. Supreme Court Filings

Elaine Marshall’s Brief of additional points to the U. S. Supreme Court that was filed last week,

The Americus Brief filed by a bipartisan group of attorneys from the Bill Clinton and George Herbert. W. Bush administrations in favor of Anna Nicole Smith’s Estate and Howard K. Stern.

Remember the Court ruled 9- 0 in 2006 in favor of Anna Nicole Smith; this is going to be a case that sets new rules on bankruptcy and fighting Estates, I predict. I am going to connect all of the papers again that have been filed explaining what this case has been about in 2006 and now again in 2010 – 2011.

Dr. Khristine Eroshevich and Anna Nicole Smith

The following news clips came from someone that I have a great deal of respect for and that is Linda Deutsch, the legend from AP. I hope that she does not mind me using them, but I have a reason.

“Under questioning by Deputy District Attorney David Barkhurst, [Dr. Harold] Schueler said he did not find the powerful sleeping medication chloral hydrate in Smith’s bodily fluids because it has a very short life of about four minutes. But he said he found metabolites showing the drug had been present in large amounts and had probably been taken for eight days straight.”

Dr. Eroshevich was beyond helpful in the early stages of this investigation, to the point of suggesting that Dr. Perper dig deeper into the buttocks of Anna Nicole Smith. When he did he found “pockets of infection,” that would have gone unnoticed.. Had it not been for Dr. Eroshevich, I too believe that it would have gone unnoticed (Wondering, if you cook a medication down in a spoon, like a junkie, and then draw it up into a less than sterile syringe and inject the same into the area of the buttocks, does that leave residual material behind to cause an infection?). It was smart that Dr. Khris assisted the coroner, and more to the point that she was being open and wanting to make sure that there was no question as to the amount of medications that were still sitting in the bottles. Lots of drugs for sure, however, lots still not used. This was very smart…

“No illegal drugs were detected by the toxicology tests, he said.”

Now if I was sitting in that jury I would be right about now saying to myself, “self, why am I sitting here?” “no illegal” drugs does it not get any simpler than that? All I have to do now is hear “therapeutic” level and I should go home. This is a twist, is it not? …Dr. Eroshevich did take a great deal of care to try and monitor and control the intake of the Blond Bomb Shell…that same “bomb” that blew these peoples’ careers right into the crapper. No matter what the outcome of this “trial,” these three will be credited with the death of Anna Nicole Smith. Sure, Drumb and Drumber and The Drum Major, “march this way and follow me, I am in complete control”…

…Under questioning by lawyer Steve Sadow, who represents defendant Howard Stern, Schueler said all of the drugs except for the chloral hydrate were present in small amounts at “a therapeutic level.”

“Therapeutic Level,” I was not present, but I bet “The Gentleman from Georgia,” Steve Sadow did one of those glances towards the jury, as to say, “did you hear that?” …

…“A chart prepared by Schueler showed the medications were prescribed by numerous doctors, including some in the Bahamas, with many of the labels showing pseudonyms for Smith, including Michelle Chase, Susie Wong and Jean Smith.”

Michele Chase is back on the “set,” girlfriend! Tell me did you ever think that this would get to this point…a simple name, “Michele Chase,” if the girls at the club could see you now. Having read a great deal over the last several months I got it, the “relationship,”… …Did they fall into a political trap? Should there not be others warming the seats? Quite frankly, Dr. Eroshevich was trying her best to try and save ANS from killing herself. …She really wanted to help, and try and get it right, it is no fun sitting and traveling with a dead celebrity, quite frankly the whole thing at some point would be a real stinker. Another good word, “stinker,” “stinks” and “scheming,” let’s do this, as this trial goes along let’s pick words that will reflect what this case is really about. These are good starters, I promise there will be some Hum Dingers when the cast of characters leaves “Hooterville.”

Be sure to visit Desperate Exes.com to continue with this article and John J. Nazarian’s complete coverage of what is beginning to look more and more like a political football and not a real “crime”.
