Dr Murray found guilty in the death of Michael Jackson and Judge Pastor was quick to revoke bail and remand Dr. Conrad Murray to the Los Angeles Sheriff’s department pending sentencing on Nov. 29, 2011.
The only surprising thing today was the remanding and revoking bail. We all thought Murray would be convicted. John has said on many shows this was like musical chairs and when the music stopped Murray was left standing with the Propoful bottle in his hand.
Murray barely had time to look back at his mother and girlfriend before being taken into custody and whisk out of the court room.
Straight Talk with John J Nazarian guest tonight is Criminal Defense attorney Adam Braun, who has been both a prosecutor and now one of the top criminal attorneys in California. Braun will answer questions of what now? Over crowding in the jails, why the revoking of bail? Can the defense appeal based on Dr. Klein never appeared in trial which was a major set back most say to Murray? Will Murray get house arrest or a retreat like Ryan Bowman did for involuntary manslaughter in the Lauren Freeman case, at camp Seal on the California coast line.
Adam Braun is one of the best criminal defense lawyers in California. Braun is the Principal at Law Offices of Adam H. Braun and was a Federal Prosecutor at the United States Attorney’s Office for over 6 years. The Princeton University graduate represented Dr. Khristine Eroshevich during the lead up to the Anna Nicole Smith trial. Braun was the attorney for one of Anthony Pelicanno’s co-defendants.
In other bizarre interviews we have Dr. Arnold Klein on what looks like his golden throne.
“Dr. Arnold Klein said he personally tried several times to prevent other doctors from administering propofol to Jackson for sleep. “I knew this problem existed,” Klein said in the interview. “I did my best to prevent it. Whenever I could, I prevented it, but I’m only one man and I have to support my own life and take care of myself.”
Klein disputed the argument by Dr. Conrad Murray’s lawyers that he addicted Jackson to Demerol in the months before his death, saying he used only low doses of the painkiller while repairing Jackson’s collapsed nose and jaw line.
Klein described three instances in which he said he was involved in interventions to prevent Jackson from getting propofol, the surgical anesthetic the coroner ruled killed him, although Klein gave no indication of when the incidents occurred.
In the first instance, Klein said he chartered a plane to Las Vegas when he heard Jackson was getting propofol at a hotel where the singer was staying. Klein claimed he threw out the doctor involved to prevent him from giving Jackson the drug. In another encounter in Hawaii, Klein said he and his nurse slept on the floor of Jackson’s room to prevent him from getting propofol from a plastic surgeon.
Klein claimed he once “saved” Jackson in New York when another doctor administered propofol, combined with another drug. It made Jackson go “running down the street,” Klein said. Klein, interviewed in his Beverly Hills home, said that while it was too upsetting to him to watch much of the trial, he watched enough to believe Murray wanted to “make me look like a demon” and “make me as a scapegoat.”
Klein said he began the slow and painful process of rebuilding some of Jackson’s facial skin in early April after his nose collapsed and after he lost his jaw line.

Australian reporter Eamonn Duff has a great artcle that will be in the Sunday edition of The Sun-Herald Here are some of the key parts I found fascinating.
DRIVING along Hollywood’s Sunset Boulevard in a Bentley, Ryan Bowman was revelling in his new-found multimillionaire status.
Several weeks earlier the Australian entrepreneur had sold his mobile phone marketing firm, mConnect, for $8 million.
Having relocated to Los Angeles after his success as Australian distributor of US soft porn franchise Girls Gone Wild, he probably thought life couldn’t get much better. In hindsight, it would never be the same again.
A life cut short … Lauren Ann Freeman.
….The fashion design graduate was thrown 15 metres and died on the roadside – not that Mr Bowman knew that. He fled the scene and abandoned his vehicle, which was discovered several hours later, 2.5 kilometres away with the engine still running.
Police believe alcohol may have been a factor but whether they can confirm that is unclear. The 34-year-old Canberra Grammar School old boy did not turn himself in to police until 4pm the next day…
…The Sun-Herald discovered the Australian lying low at a Venice Beach hideaway, having enlisted celebrity lawyer Blair Berk to defend him.
In turn, Ms Freeman’s parents, Donna and Steve, have hired private detective John Nazarian, a former California cop, to uncover possible skeletons in Mr Bowman’s closet.
Mr Nazarian dubbed Mr Bowman an ”arrogant scumbag”.
”I, personally, have taken more care after hitting a squirrel than what this guy did [with Lauren],” he said. ”There’s no excuses. I don’t care how you cross the t’s or dot the i’s. The appropriate thing would have been to stop and make sure this girl was as comfortable as possible in her last minutes, her last breaths.”
A Sun-Herald investigation has found that Mr Bowman was living a roller-coaster existence long before the crash. In 2007 his Sydney company Zeal Entertainment bought the Australian rights to Girls Gone Wild – a US adult entertainment company that peddles soft-porn movies featuring inebriated girls engaging in sex acts.
…In 2006 he and business partner Rob Hoath launched mobile phone services company mConnect. The company has become a global success, distributing content to carriers including Foxtel, Vodaphone and Orange in more than 30 countries.
After months of negotiations, Mr Hoath and Mr Bowman recently landed their biggest contract to date – with Spanish football giants Real Madrid. The agreement makes mConnect the official developer of the club’s worldwide mobile application services, featuring star players such as Cristiano Ronaldo.
However, while the deal was being assembled, Mr Bowman was juggling a major mess in South Africa – where mConnect was being prosecuted by a wireless regulatory watchdog over a Girls Gone Wild phone application that between February and May extracted money from mobile customers without consent…
…Despite that episode, mConnect attracted an $8 million takeover bid from surgical technology firm Medic Vision.
Mr Hoath would not speak last week but Medic Vision executive chairman Jitto Arulampalam said the controversy in South Africa and Mr Bowman’s problems in Los Angeles were unlikely to jeopardise the deal.
”There will be a resolution at our AGM for shareholders to approve that transaction and to date I have received nothing but positive feedback,” Mr Arulampalam said.
In Los Angeles a sheriff’s office spokesman said a heavier charge could be laid in January when blood test results had returned and Mr Bowman was due back in court…
…A Girls Gone Wild spokesman said all ties had been cut with Mr Bowman ”nearly a year ago”.
We will be keeping up with both Nazarian and Eamonn Duff’s coverage of this horrible “accident”. However, my first thought on this is why would anyone abandon an expensive Bentley in Hollywood with the motor still running? Perhaps Bowman thought it would be stolen giving him the perfect alibi?
We have Heath in Australia and will be asking her to keep close tabs for us on this horrendous crime as well as other ones coming out of Australia in the coming weeks.
Then there is the Honeymoon Killer, Gabe Watson and a question of why doesn’t double jeopardy apply to Watson and the continuing downward spiral of the U. S. Criminal Justice system.
An Article about Gabe Watson and what is going on in Alabama with that fiasco as well as my Sunday Political Op-Ed will be up tomorrow, Watson’s predicament might be up tonight with my thoughts on the WTH is going on with the U. S. Justice system, and the have and have nots and the manner each is treated.

November 11, 2010, just before midnight will forever be in the hearts and on the minds of Mr. & Mrs. Freeman. Their daughter Lauren Ann Freeman, just 21 years old, was hailing a taxi at that moment. After all, when it came to being responsible, Lauren Ann Freeman could very well have been the role model for …“Responsible,” it was her mantra, and why not, a great daughter, super sister and all round great kid, graduated high school and just this June had fulfilled her dream of graduating from FIDM, Fashion Institute of Design and Marketing…girl was on her way!
Her dreams came crashing down around her as she left The Roxy on Sunset Boulevard, here in Los Angeles. …I will even go so far as to say a potential super star.
It was during that hailing of the taxi as she led a group off the sidewalk — and within a CROSSWALK — her life was taken by what many believe was a drunk driver from Australia, Mr. Ryan Mathew Bowman, 34 years old, born June 30, 1976, this taken from a public record called the booking sheet from the Los Angeles County Sheriffs Department
…It was while she was well onto Sunset Boulevard in a cross walk going to her taxi that had stopped a short distance away that Mr. Bowman, driving his nice new shiny Bentley, hit Lauren Ann Freeman, throwing her some say 50, others say 100 feet. Mr. Ryan Mathew Bowman’s only concern as far as this writer is concerned was to keep going and fast! Why do I say that? There were no skid marks, no braking zilch, nada…all that was left in his trail was Lauren’s lifeless body laying on Sunset Boulevard, and wreckage from the Bentley which was abandoned not far from the scene. I have shown more compassion for a squirrel that I accidentally hit than this piece of human waste showed for this poor girl. Bowman would eventually turn himself in to the Sheriffs Department, of course many hours after killing Lauren Ann Freeman…way to go you arrogant scum bag!
…bail… $50,000 for hitting and killing a human being and fleeing the scene! Down from the $2,000,000, how is this possible? Once again, as I have said before in the Mike Yepremyan murder, I have to believe in this system that I was a part of for many years, however I continue to see things that make little or no sense to me, and $50,000 bail for killing a human being is one of the worst. An obviously wealthy guy at that and being an Australian a clear flight risk. Yeah, he had to surrender his passport, but so, once, did a guy named Roman Polanski
….Note:I have a great deal more to say on this case…
it is with permission of the family I am publishing these photos…
God bless you Lauren,
John
