One thing is for sure that in the world of DIVORCE little is ever going to get better. That is with one exception “Supervised Visitation Providers,“ that quite frankly with the exception of one or two I have to say that it was better referred to as “Stupidvised.“ A more dangerous group you cannot find in navigating the world of DIVORCE.
I have received dozens and dozens of just horrible experiences sent to me through DESPERATEEXES.COM about these agencies and how they sabotaged the entire negotiation for parents to try and reunite with their children. And how several have tried to become a part of the lifestyle for those with money to throw in their direction. Personal chefs, drivers, and taking up residence in magnificent homes and hotels.
‘Lie a granny, I meant like a granny’, ‘former cops’, ‘top clearance in the military’, ‘units completed in child development’, ‘specialize this and that’, here is one that I love, “ Price Matching “…LMAO! “High Profile Cases“ (that is nice and who cares?) “English”…Wow! How special is that, here in America? “All have a BA and or degrees in Psychology,” nice, they can use you and your kids as an experiment. “30 years law enforcement,” who cares, some of the biggest whack a dos I have met have been former cops…what does that mean? There will be guns present?
My point here is this is a totally unregulated industry, a little like “Service Dogs.“ And it attracts loons like insects to a campfire. Something else I find interesting is I see a group who have been “nobodies” much of their lives and finding a soap box and some authority. They find themselves much more important than they really are, and this is dangerous. Many of these lunatics will align themselves with with one or the other in the course of being IMPARTIAL, bullshit is what I have found. I have personally seen this hundreds of times. I have even mentioned my concerns that many of these fools can address the court in the course of your DIVORCE! My concerns were mentioned to Judge Scott Gordon as well as others and I plan on a meeting to discuss my concerns.
Well out of the clear blue skies of this great state we have found WWW.ASAFEVISIT.COM These two are the real deal! From the time you click on the site of Mike and Laura you immediately feel safer and better yet your children will also feel the same way. Nothing over the top, just a couple of kids who wanted to be teachers and found that one of the most honorable careers known to man was being faced with cutbacks and layoffs. No frustrated psychologists here. No soap box yelling how fabulous they are either, and best of all NO GUNS! My god the last thing anyone needs when dealing with children is a gun.
The two of them themselves are young parents to a new baby and own and support a home. They have focused on making the “work” of monitoring a friendly and comfortable one. One of the best things I zeroed in on was the word “No.“ Mike and Laura know the importance of using the word “No“. After all is this not one of the most important words to use when attempting to initiate guidelines for parents in the throes of DIVORCE? You Betcha, better to have command of the English language than having a gun and a badge! LOL. They are dealing with children and parents and if armed observers are needed that is also an option but be very careful. (I would love to see the insurance policy for having gun toting monitors on site!) Don’t get me wrong, these two know the rules after many years of working in the trenches of DIVORCE and know three important numbers “911.” These two also have Spanish as well as English in their daily lives. Russian as well as Armenian are also spoken within their immediate families. The other thing I loved is that they use full size NEW SUV’s for your children if the need should arise at no extra cost! After all that is what they carry their child in and why not yours too?,
This is a new agency with years and years of experience working with and traveling all over the world with clients and their children. We at DESPERATEEXES.COM wish Mike and Laura all the best in their new venture be sure to visit WWW.ASAFEVISIT.COM and give Laura or Mike a call. These two are exactly what this unregulated access to the courts has needed for a very long time.

Early morning on April 27, I am tooling down the 101 on my way to the “Stanley.” Traffic is light, I have my buddy Lisa Stanley of KRTH on the radio, I am enjoying my first cup of coffee and life is good.
…As I am parking my Hummer in my $20 parking space, who do I spot out of the corner of my eye, Thomas Mesereau, Lawyer. This guy for my money is one of the best defense attorneys in the United States, having successfully defended Michael Jackson and a host of other high-profile cases. Not too hard to miss, that long flowing white hair, just like I am not hard to miss either I guess. He too is at the Stanley…that is interesting I wonder why, that thought will be answered shortly.
Lining up to get into the courthouse who else do I see, none other than one of my pals, Ira Friedman, Lawyer and one of the funniest people you will meet. Here is an Ira moment in my life, sent to me in the form of an e-mail: “John do you know how bored I am?” – “No, Ira why?“ – “I am reading DESPERATEEXES” – “Thanks Ira!’…
…Making it through the security detail, I make my usual rounds and as in most days I either end up in Judge Trent Lewis’s, Judge Scott Gordon’s or Judge Fredrick Schaller’s courts. As I approach Department 88 who do I see, Thomas Mesereau, Ira Friedman, Larry Ginsburg, David Pasternak, and 7 or 8 other lawyers. Scattered in the group were several others and, not to be missed, a very well-dressed female, when I say well-dressed, what I am trying to convey is the “look.” I find out later she is the U.S. Attorney and is sitting and listening, sure listening in such a way that you know at some point she is going to drop a net on someone.
As I bounced around the Stanley I had just walked in on Salim Karimi of ADI fame, ADI in the course of several years got millions from cities to build housing for low income. In Glendale alone he got upwards of $33,000,000…well it was obvious now why a U.S. Attorney was sitting and listening. There are other cities in the “show me the money” line such as Los Angeles.
Guess what? This all came to light during a DIVORCE proceeding! Salim Karimi v Jannki Mithawaila…I often reflect on the old song by Johnnie Taylor, “ Cheaper to Keep Her”. Please, Mr. Karimi as you sit in India safely and out of reach of the authorities here in the United States…
…Karimi’s wife is represented by Larry Ginsburg, who did a stellar job of making my friend David Pasternak, the court-appointed receiver, feel like a pinata. The point that was being screamed (however quietly) was that Mr. Ginsburg wanted his client to have access to the $44,000,000 that Pasternak the receiver had in his accounts, as well as $600,000 in bullion. Larry Ginsburg was relentless and knew the law and was on target most of the time (Ginsburg did a great job in presenting his case as his client was moving around trying to avoid the inevitable). And a great deal more in property and business enterprises. …My thought was this, upon that money being released it will be in India in nano-seconds, or some other country less friendly to the U.S. and its concerns.
…Mr. Pasterank, release that money and now.” The pieces are now fitting together, Thomas Mesereau, criminal defense lawyer is representing Salim Karimi. His wife it is reported was being hidden away by bodyguards…Note: Sweetie you cannot hide from the Feds, bodyguards or not you will be bagged if the desire strikes that very well-dressed lady sitting in Dept. 88 (also I thought I saw at least one FBI agent in the audience). Judge Gordon makes it very clear that he is not going to be letting Mr. Pasternak continue as the divorce is off, good, now maybe everyone will stop taking swipes at Pasternak. Judge Gordon also made it clear that there would be procedures to follow and loose ends to tie up before he ordered Mr. Pasternak to do anything. It came out in court that numerous lawsuits were filed against Mr. Pasternak in the performance of his duties. Judge Scott Gordon in his very special way made it clear, very clear I thought, that Pasternak the receiver could be sued only if Judge Gordon said it was “OK” to sue him. Pasternak laid it all out, “no general ledgers,“ the other word David used was “Extraordinary” in reference to what Mr. Karimi and Co. had done. Another funny comment made by someone in court was that Mr. Karimi’s relatives were destroying records…”Noooooooo“…Once again, typical behavior of innocent people.
David Pasternak never lost focus and made it clear that Salim Karimi was not sitting in the poorhouse as he made off with $25,000,000 to his native India. It was also made very clear that a great deal of criminal activity had taken place (Mesereau) & (U.S. Attorney). Millions of dollars given to do good ended up in the hands of people not worthy of the trust that went with that assignment. It was also revealed very little if any taxes were paid! No real surprises in this story or the legal proceedings that will surely follow, and the best part, Mr. Salim Karimi was on a large screen, “Live” from India…
…Mr. Karimi the interesting thing is this, as I recall my time in India as a young man, if you in fact did any or ….
Nice article I noticed at Desperate Exes.com, there is a lot more to this article I think you will enjoy and while there read the tribute to Bijan Pakzad who was a fixture to Rodeo Drive.

Between my travels to New York and Mexico, I decided to visit my old stomping grounds, The Stanley Mosk Courthouse. Who do I see upon my arrival on the 8th floor but two of the major partners of Meyer, Olson, Lowy and Meyers, Lisa Helfend Meyer and Felicia Meyers…
Stopped in a few of the courtrooms and it was the usual Liars Club, former mates for life that are now in the process of turning each others lives inside out. …For the lawyers it is nothing short of hitting the lottery when they get clients with BIG FAT WALLETS…and in the end folks…
…I got to see two lawyers trying to give Judge Scott Gordon an incredible snow job, these two were throwing snow faster than a NorEaster. However, it was about to get real warm, real fast for these two legal beagles. Trying to plow around Gordon’s court is not a good idea folks…he was a street cop way before a judge and some of those memories are still with “his Honor.”
While sitting in front of Judge Diaz’s courtroom, who strolls by but Manley Freid of Fried and Goldsman, another SUPER LAWYER…LMAO, who makes SUPER DOLLARS. Mr. Freid made an interesting comment to Lisa Meyer while seated in the front of Judge Diaz’s court, he asked, “did you bring crayons and cartoons?”…was this…
…Oh I almost forgot, and who else do I see, my good friend, Sticey Flips (not so much) of the very prestigious law firm of Phillips, Lerner, Lauzon & Jamra. Sticey Flips was wearing what I am sure was a very expensive animal print, like an old cougar type print. There is not a question in my mind that Ms. Flips wears extraordinarily high dollar clothes, she is another very rich divorce lawyer. I was told recently that my name is like, NOT to be mentioned around that firm…I don’t know why she is mad at ME, I don’t buy her clothes…BUT, she always has great shoes.

There are times when rich people just amaze me, and Frank and Jamie McCourt are very, very rich and they amaze me. So rich, in fact, that had this once happy couple remained in Massachusetts, none of this would be an issue (however, some have come forward and said that at this point in time this is not true anymore… …It has to be tough on both of them to have all of their private business out in the public forums for crazy people to be making comments about. This is a financial empire few can even grasp, including myself, and I have an accounting background…we’re talking BIG MONEY. …rich does not mean they have no feelings, but money and divorce brings out the worst in people and not just for the two getting divorced.
Judge Scott Gordon was on top of what he had to deal with in making decisions. I heard a few lawyers commenting amongst themselves that Judge Gordon was “right on point.” …This could go down as one of the biggest divorces in U.S. history, and we have people like Sorrell Trope representing Frank McCourt. There are several other lawyers representing Jamie McCourt. Hey, I even saw Dennis Wasser and I heard that Bert Fields was involved in this case (money money money), LMAO…no kidding, I was wondering if either of them miss Anthony Pellicano…
…My opinion is simple, Frank McCourt is one smart guy, some have thought of him as a “genius.” The Los Angeles Dodgers are 650 million in debt, give or take a few million. The franchise is worth about 800 million and in a couple of more years Mr. McCourt will be a free agent, that being he will be free from FOX Sports and will be rewriting his television contracts. …Frank McCourt had some good people on board and took the risk, and now his entire financial history is out there for people to stand with their mouths agape and in total wonderment at how he did it. How he did it could be a book and a movie that I would pay to see .
We now have former longtime Dodgers owner Peter O’Malley, …“the current Dodger ownership has lost all credibility throughout the city.” What? this is a DIVORCE case, and by the mere terms of the word makes it nasty, and due to the times, way too public!
Mr. O’Malley went on to comment that he would like to see the team “owned by a small but diverse group of Los Angeles people who understand the culture of the organization and the importance of the Dodgers in this city.” What? Diverse group?
…
…Mr. O’Malley, write your memoirs and try and get a book deal together and keep away from the press, your comments come across like you have too many fruit loops in your coconuts! Or go back to sleep…but don’t forget to wake up!

Several hours ago [April 8, 2010], Commissioner Scott Gordon was appointed Judge of the Superior Court. To me this was a very long time coming. If ever a man deserved the title of “Judge” it is Scott Gordon. Judge Gordon is a former police officer, deputy D.A. and now a judge…that is dam near a Yahtzee!
We at DesperateExes.com are thrilled to hear this news…I would send “Snookies Cookies” with white and chocolate milk as a celebratory gift…but that would not be ethical and myself and several deputies would end up eating the cookies and drinking the milk.
Judge Gordon, boy does that not sound just perfect…
NOTE FROM ROSE: You might remember Commissioner Scott Gordon from the Britney Spears’ and K-Fed divorce and ongoing the Jamie and Frank McCourt, owners of the Dodgers, divorce. Legendary attorney Bert Fields represents Jamie McCourt and for a brief period of time Sorrell Trope represented Britney Spears. Judge Gordon was the one that Ordered Spears to get a drivers license and finally gave her only supervised visitation until she got her life back together.
While at Desperate Exes.com be sure to read about other high profile Hollywood divorces.
