What can I say? I just watched “Farrah’s Story” on NBC and was brought through an emotional roller coaster of feelings watching this documentary. Farrah Fawcett was a major part of our world of pop culture, and sex symbols, and my life. Her smile was as big as the state of Texas and bright as the lights in Times Square at night! I was very “inspired” by her beauty, etc. I, at first, was shocked to hear that this documentary was being made, maybe feeling that it would be scary and intrusive into her life, but after watching it, it left me with a feeling of closure and feeling, how can I say, smarter regarding Cancer.

I think Farrah has had a place in everyone’s life at one point or another: whether being “your” favorite Charlie’s Angel, loving her “famous” hairstyle, or now being the strength and voice for Cancer. Also, Farrah seems to be a fighter. Something that is admirable.

I have met Farrah, and worked with her briefly, when I first arrived in California. I was so “star struck” by her. I even did a Rick Dee’s radio interview back then and we talked about Farrah. When I was working and Farrah would enter the establishment, Farrah was the only celebrity that would garner such attention from the clientele that every head in the place would be turning to look at her. Some would even get out of their chairs to get a closer look at her. Some celeb’s get attention, but not like Farrah. I still to this day have yet to see that kind of reaction!

At one point of “Farrah’s Story” it reminded me of Anna Nicole Smith. It was the part of the show when she wanted to go back to Los Angeles from Germany after major Cancer treatment. The doctors told her not to go, because of the pressure of the air plane cabin or something like that, but Alana Stewart, her friend, did what Farrah wanted and got her to the plane and back to Los Angeles. Sometimes celebrities and their “entourages” do what the celebrity wants, although, this is not at all the same situation as Anna.

Also, Farrah and her “Tabloid” lawsuit. It seems that Farrah put an end to the nasty lies she says the “tabloids” (National Enquirer) were saying about her and her Cancer.

I think what Farrah did by putting out this documentary may get mixed reviews, but I feel that it was a “good move”. Education is the best tool given to us, and Farrah did her part! She educated and made me face fears that without this documentary, I would not have thought about or have known.

Farrah is one of our major sex symbols of our time, and I applaud her for at least letting us in and not letting our imaginations run wild and leaving us with truth and honor. She even showed us her new “Baldness”, talk about courageous!

Radar Online has put up on YouTube a short photo montage stating that her father, bless his heart, flew in to LA to say his final goodbyes to his daughter.

I agree with Hugh Hefner and would definitely say that Farrah is up there with Marilyn Monroe, etc., and one of the greatest sex symbols of our time. She is one of our generation’s icons!

My heart goes out to you, Farrah, and also to your father James, Ryan O’Neil, Alana Stewart, Redmond, and anyone else who is involved.

Farrah, you brought a lot to my life and I thank you for giving inspiration!

Did any of you, the readers, watch last night’s documentary “Farrah’s Story”? I’d like to hear your thoughts.
