Nothing better than to wake up first thing in the morning and have calls coming in with the question, “who did Laura Wasser hire as her P.I.? “ Let me think, NOT ME for sure. One – we are too expensive, and I am very happy to be able to write those very words. Two – are you nuts? Going up against Arnold Schwarzenegger and his lawyers…is there an upside to this assignment? Ahhhh let me think, no, not even the money would be worth the “encounter.” “Happy” will not be a word coming from the mouths of whoever is being chosen for this gauntlet of misery that he or she will be facing. Let’s sit and think for a moment who it is that some “P.I.” is going to try and mess with…now you understand? Go back to sleep and just hope this all passes.

Remember Arnold is smart, very smart…look into his eyes when he is being followed and asked questions, the look of annoyance is present and is it not a look as to say “I want to make you go away and fast”? I swear the look in his eyes when he is annoyed is familiar, very familiar, like in TERMINATOR! No I am not being silly here folks, it is my opinion that you want to stay on the sunny side with this guy or your life will become difficult, maybe even miserable. We here at Nazarian and Associates are happy and thank god busy…loving the desert.

Much of my success has been to know when to duck, and the other issue for me is that I know the difference between being a “sacrifice” and being an “investigator.” Also I consider Marty Singer a friend and someone that I would not want to be upset with me or my sons. Sure call it old age, call it getting soft, or how about this, “picking your fights carefully.”

During the holidays this year I was invited to some great Holiday and Christmas parties. One of the best, as anything ever done at her house, was Lisa Helfend Meyer’s. Lisa as many know is the brains behind Meyer Olson Lowy & Meyers, Lisa had a dream for herself professionally and also had a dream of where she wanted to live.

The event at The Meyers estate was catered by Chasen’s, yup they are still around and the eats were incredible. The Maitre d’ of the original restaurant was present to make sure all went well, and it did. The famous chili was served in bowls and fresh seafood was piled high for all to enjoy. After the incredible appetizers we were treated to a sit down dinner under one of the most spectacular tents I have seen…don’t forget Chasen’s was in charge of this event and what an evening it was. There were lots of refreshments served all through the evening and of course there was never a need to open a wallet!

(If you are ever a guest at Lisa’s office (Depos- Meetings) you will also be fed as seldom is ever done at law offices. Coffee, Tea, Danish and snacks and a full breakfast is available I am sure if you were to ask, and for lunch there is always a tray of sandwiches and all the fixings…even if she is not fond of you, it is just how Lisa likes it done and her assistant Cary Stanchfield is always watching to be sure it is up to Lisa’s standards)

This estate was at one time the home of W.C. Fields and is nothing short of spectacular. Lisa and her husband Ron had recently completed a major renovation of this Hollywood treasure and it is now even more spectacular. After a very festive evening of dancing and laughing it had to come to an end, leaving all who attended with some great memories. If you are ever lucky enough to get invited to a function at Ron and Lisa’s home be sure to ask if you can see the Golfers Museum, yes, there is also a very fascinating museum on the property…surprised? You should not be, this is were Lisa and Ron live.

Shannon Price, the former wife of Gary Coleman who was divorced from him on August 12, 2008 got to pull the plug? Many thought it was a little strange, but then again he fell while making her a snack and hit his head. The “Advanced Health Care Directive” stays in effect regardless of the marital status…what? I have dozens and dozens of DESPERATE EXES who could only wish upon a star for such an opportunity, girls can you imagine?

Utah Valley Regional Medical Center thought that Ms. Price and Gary were married! She was quoted as saying, “Why would I want to hurt my husband?“ Let me count the reasons. I love this one, “He would have died sooner or later,” this girl is funny and she is not trying to be. …

…I have listened to the interviews and recordings on TMZ and I am shocked that this woman was allowed to make any decisions, other than “would you like cheese on that?” I invite anyone to listen and tell me that I am wrong when I say the “lights are on but no one is home.” …The marriage and where he ended up in his final hours are nothing short of shocking from the stand point of did Ms. Price have the sense and heart to maybe take a little higher road and let time roll on for Gary Coleman?

Something I noticed over and over again as I listened to the interviews was “MONEY”, Yup, MONEY for this and MONEY for that, and I have no MONEY. My thoughts are that his estranged parents will step up and take care of this poor guy’s funeral….

NOTE FROM ROSE: The Hospital is investigating the incident saying Ms. Price represented her self as Mr. Coleman’s “current wife and next of kin”. However, the hospital also said that they don’t just take someone off of life support unless it is decision made by the doctors with the family giving the go head to do something like this. It might have been nice for the ex to wait until his parents and other close family members could have arrived from out of town.

Gary Coleman’s “family” states that they hope to have a memorial service in Salt Lake City Utah over the weekend, it was not stated in the AP article whether Ms. Price was also in charge of that as the ex-wife… OH wait, per MSNBC.com, as of today Mr. Coleman’s parents are in the anger stage and are suing for possession of the remains to take Coleman “home” to Illinois and they want answers and that would be like TODAY!!! I have to agree the 911 call is cold, her ex-husband is dying and Ms. Price said blood made her sick and she could not go into the room where her ex-husband Gary Coleman was laying to apply pressure to his head until paramedics arrived… YUK!!!!!

If you don’t want your ex to decide to pull the plug, make sure you change you medical proxy and/or Living Will. I have both just to be sure there is no potential argument with family members of what I do want to happen and when.

…well folks, the “King of Softballs” and the “Sultan of Gas” is going to be up for grabs…Larry King has filed for divorce from his gorgeous much younger wife. He is stumbling into DIVORCE #8…Shawn Southwick has filed for divorce. Shawn is being represented by none other than Joe Mannis. It is reported that Larrreeeee is a very generous old person…better be, when Ol’ Joe sends a bill he wants to be paid.

There has been much ado about Shawn’s sister, Shannon Engemann, purportedly banging old Larreeee… …Shannon states that Lareeee is “like a father to me”…Hmmm, maybe she too is not in touch with her faculties, more like GrandF’nfather sweetie!

She was quoted on TMZ that “I have a date tonight and I am not going to worry about it.” I was wondering if it might be Tony Curtis. Larry’s lawyer Susan Carter is hoping that the divorce is “amicable,“ that is likely to happen about the time his show ever becomes a hit again. However in the end…he is still a real rich old guy.

Several hours ago [April 8, 2010], Commissioner Scott Gordon was appointed Judge of the Superior Court. To me this was a very long time coming. If ever a man deserved the title of “Judge” it is Scott Gordon. Judge Gordon is a former police officer, deputy D.A. and now a judge…that is dam near a Yahtzee!

We at DesperateExes.com are thrilled to hear this news…I would send “Snookies Cookies” with white and chocolate milk as a celebratory gift…but that would not be ethical and myself and several deputies would end up eating the cookies and drinking the milk.

Judge Gordon, boy does that not sound just perfect…

NOTE FROM ROSE: You might remember Commissioner Scott Gordon from the Britney Spears’ and K-Fed divorce and ongoing the Jamie and Frank McCourt, owners of the Dodgers, divorce. Legendary attorney Bert Fields represents Jamie McCourt and for a brief period of time Sorrell Trope represented Britney Spears. The latest potential train wrecks, Da Kardashians — Kim and her BIG sister Kourtney — were exiting a car when some poor photographer got very close, it is being reported. And Kim and BIG sis Kourtney’s security thugs took care of business. What does that mean? Just because the guy has a camera does not make him a “threat,“ as a matter of fact is it not these very same people who made these nobodies somebodies?

The members of our security details are off-duty police and sheriff deputies and above all gentlemen. You can still have “security” and not get sued or arrested, it is called having trained people in place and COMMON SENSE. During the Phil Spectre circus we saw his “security“ team and being that he was so rich it would appear that he had paid by the pound for the two cows in very large suits that accompanied him and his wife to and from the court.

…For Nazarian and Associates, we don’t hire people by how many pounds they weigh but for what they have between their ears: brains. …

And how about this, you don’t want the attention, don’t leak your schedule to the paparazzi and chances are they won’t be there. Ahhhh, that would be too disappointing, no one to take your picture and document how surprised you look. OH NO, but then TMZ would not have you to make comments about on there site. There are dozens of ways to keep from being confronted by the photogs. A perfect example is when Adam Braun and I accompanied a client to be booked for the Anna Nicole [Smith] debacle…there was no photo of her entering the police station, and no photo of her leaving. Also keep in mind that I planned the entire event and the best part NO MUG SHOT! We don’t want to be sued and we don’t want to attack the very people who make us famous, THE PAPARAZZI, these men and women provide a service. For sure there are times when you wish they were not parked in front of your house or apartment. How about this, send for coffee and sandwiches for them while they are camped out and maybe they will give you a break. We use other less pleasant tactics but they are harmless…who can predict a broken hose or sprinklers going off by accident?

When a real threat is in place, get out of the area quickly and use the appropriate force to do that. Having trained professionals will do the trick and you don’t get that for 50 bucks an hour. But if you hire meat to beat people and smack them around and break their cameras, you’ll PAY FOR IT in bail, lawyers and settlements.
