John J Nazarian

All of us here wish John J. Nazarian and his son Chris a very happy birthday today, and for great fun and more importantly to be surrounded by those you love.

As many of you know John as well as other guest authors from October 2010 through May of this year kept Rose Speaks alive with their generous sharing of articles while I got some much needed rest after a very stressful time in my life. Gifts like those are impossible to repay with the mere words of thanks.

Today is John and his son’s special day and so from our home to the Nazarian home a very happy and fun day is our wish. May both of you have many more and may life only get better for you, Chris and John.

John is going techy on us finally. You can follow him on Twitter at http://twitter.com/#!/JohnJNazarian and on Face Book at http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100002586309630.

Our warmest regards and love.

John J. and Chris Nazarian

I wandered over to Desperate Exes.com today to see if John J. Nazarian had part 3 up on his critique of the trip to Europe, he usually gives us a head’s up if one is coming out but with the trip and all I figured I would just check it out.

Yeppers there is part 3 up and we will bring you all a lead in to that tomorrow.

HOWEVER, what caught my attention right off was that John’s long time friend, Julie, has put up a picture and all it said was “Happy Birthday John and Christian” dated July 9th.

Shes does GREAT graphics for John’s site Desperate Exes.com so we “borrow/swipe” them occasionally to go with a lead in story here on Rose Speaks.com and to date she has never been miffed about that.

Speaking of Julie being miffed, today as a Birthday wish, I am going to share some of the journey of John J. Nazarian and Rose Speaks.com.

I became aware of John J. Nazarian on March 31, 2007 when Rivera Geraldo’s brother, Craig, waylaid him outside a restaurant to try to get a statement about one of his clients. My thought was this is a tough guy you would not want to meet as an enemy in a dark alley. Later that fall of 2007 John did a couple of posts on the old Rose Speaks.com site and of course Rita Cosby put his email out there for the world in her book on Anna Nicole Smith, Howard K. Stern and Larry Birkhead, but this is NOT about any of that.

I found that John was going to cover the Anthony Pellicano trial, how great I thought a PI covering a defrocked Hollywood Royal PI’s in federal a wire tapping trial. So I approached John via email and that led to me “dealing” with Julie. I found she can tough when it comes to John. I had to do a major presentation, show the numbers Rose Speaks.com got per month, promise how the lead in to John’s article would be done etc. I really was scared of this very tough woman. However if you treat her John right, you are in like glue with her. She became delightful to work with. During the trial one of our guest writers, Sprocket, wrote on her blog about seeing John during the Pellicano trial and mentioned that John was a celebrity in his own right in Hollywood. WOW new information on this guy.

John did cover the Pellicano trial and from there a somewhat email relationship began between John and me. John did several articles and always graciously allowed Rose Speaks.com to ride on his fame and do a lead in and the numbers just went up and the readers it brought in was a whole different crowd then the Anna Nicole Smith articles and papers brought in. These people read and did not post but as I told John and Julie at the end of the day it is about page reads that a blog lives or dies from, not the number of posts.

Then came Hurricane Ike and during that time the loss of our beloved black lab, CJ, and I was distraught beyond words, sobbing with Ken and I huddled like any pet owners that lost their “child”. I sent a simple mass email out that told of our loss and asked that no one call us for the next couple of days to allow us to grieve privately (and because I did not want anyone to know how hard the loss had been for us). About thirty minutes later the phone rang and I was annoyed but picked it up, life and articles for the blog goes on I thought. NOT so, John said simply; “Rose we are going to sit here together and cry together over CJ and share the memories we both have of pets that we loved and lost”; and that is what we did for an hour. John won my heart that day; a $400 an hour PI to the rich and famous gave me an hour and showed me a human none PI side of a fellow pet lover/owner.

That was in August or September 2008, my birthday came in October and John sent me an email and said; “I am not trying to interfere or step on your toes, and I know CJ can never be replaced, but if you want another lab, save one from a shelter or puppy mill and I will pay for it, not as a payment for the writings you helped with lead in articles but as friends with the one condition that no one ever knows about this.” I think John said that because he does not like for his kind side to be exploited or he can’t lose that tough and rough PI image. He ended with, “Hell get two if you want them, keep me posted and take your time”. We found Duke and Thor at a puppy mill, heartbreaking and told John; Duke and Thor promptly came home with us. John asked about them, we sent pictures and kept our word and the world never knew of this side of John, it would not mess up his tough guy Hollywood image or allow anyone to know about this loving gift from a fellow “pet” parent.

Then came the deposition and some stupid did not know shit forum poster on that “T” site had spun a story that the Stern family paid us off with these two darling babies. I called John and told him this might come up in the deposition and what I had read from witness statements. John said; “Well F— (I think you know the words he would have used), tell them the truth Rose at the deposition”. So I told them the truth even before the deposition date and told them that the witness statement they had was not going to stand up under scrutiny with emails from this forum poster or even from phone calls between this “poster” and me. In other words their witness had no credibility and it would be easy to prove.

So today on John and Chris’ birthday we offer them our heartfelt congratulations, Chris is a great son and I have been lucky enough to talk to both of John’s sons at times. Chris had to walk his dad through what a Jpeg was from a digital camera and Chris is the one that emailed us the pictures of John by his limousine covering the Pellicano Trial we asked for. I could tell from the tone I heard between Chris and his dad, John, the love that abounded in their home and the ability to kid his dad, and John loving every second of it.

John is rough and tough and a mighty adversary when it comes to his representation of his clent, but if you are lucky enough to get a look beyond that, he has a gentle giant side when his heart is touched.

Happy Birthday John and Chris, from our home to your home and thank you so much for what you have given to both Rose Speaks.com and to us personally.

Grandson James Nazarian with John J. Nazarian

The Birth Announcement read round the world I would guess of James Nazarian born March 11, 2010!

“There was a flash of joy within the universe early Thursday morning — my son Chris and his adorable girlfriend Victoria together brought their new son James Nazarian into the world at 4:20 A.M. James is 9.9 lbs and 21 inches, and upon hearing this I was so glad that I always gave Victoria the chair at the head of our table during dinner…extra room, 9.9 POUNDS, not-so-little James came into the world at almost 10 POUNDS!! Thank god for medical technology, as what an “OUCH” factor that had to be…I am just guessing, never having given birth.

Becoming a grandfather is an incredible thing. My middle name is James and what an honor to have my grandson named after…me! They named their son after me! I am looking forward to watching James grow, and to assure that he is in the right financial place a stock portfolio will have been put together by the time you read this! After all, if James is going to be named after me he should, at the appropriate time, have a few bucks in his pocket.

I wish Victoria and Chris all the best, and they will have to remember that for the rest of their lives they are now Mom and Dad. And their focus should be to make sure their son James has all the world can offer to him, but most of all the love and caring of each other and together sharing that with James…I am sure they will do all of that as they will be reminded “once in awhile” who James’s grandfather is.

Victoria and Chris, job well done!

Dad”

On a personal note, Ken and I have gotten to know Mr. Nazarian over the last two plus years via email and a few phone calls, ever since I talked his publicist into allowing Rose Speaks.com to pick up Mr. Nazarian’s coverage of the Anthony Pellicano trial. Mr. Nazarian is devoted to his two sons and if you look at pictures we put up occasionally with his articles of his cars (the Rolls and Bentley) you will see that the hedges around John’s home is 20 feet high. I think he has always been aware that in his business he has made a few enemies along the way, but I have NEVER seen a picture of his two sons anywhere. So to me, this cute James Nazarian, the grandson of John, he could not ask for a more protective grandfather.

We here at Rose Speaks wish Chris, Victoria and James a long and happy life and to remember your children grow up so fast, enjoy every day, and EXPECT advice from your dad, Chris, grandparents are put on earth to do that and I would imagine John will do that with grace, love and as fierce of protective grandfather as any grandchild can have.

I feel Ken and I at Rose Speaks joins with all of John J. Nazarian’s clients including in part the firms and lawyers of Trope and Trope, Hersh, Mannis & Bogen, LLP, Meyer, Olson, Lowy & Meyers LLP, Trope & DeCarolis, LLP, Ron Rale, Sorrell Trope, Michael Trope, Patrick Decarolis, Lisa Helfend Meyer, Gary Fishbein, Ira M. Friedman, Ron Litz, Harland Braun and Adam Braun. There is not enough room to name them all and the clients who became friends along the way including Pauley Perrette and Michelle Phillips. The clients he has represented so well they are proud to be named on the site of Nazarian and Associates. Clients including Oscar de la Hoya, Vin Diesel, Steven Bochco, and Les Moonves, and it could go on from there.

As you can see the list is so large we cannot begin to list them all, but I am willing to bet that James Nazarian’s birth is going to be celebrated in California by all who have been positively touched by the dedication, commitment, professionalism and knowledge John shows to his clients, and to the few lucky enough to call him a friend. Not to forget his one of a kind wit that can make me laugh with my fist cup of coffee.

James Nazarian is beautiful Mr. Nazarian! All of our best to you and your family.

Please keep comments on this article positive, Ken and I would so appreciate an outpouring of congratulations on this happiest of occasions.

What a way to start off the spring, with the rebirth of nature and the gift of a grandchild.

John J. Nazarian and Bentley

Peppone Ristorante, Brentwood, California was the meeting place of the week, not bad for an evening of laughs and entertainment with Michael Trope, Christian Nazarian and of course me, John Nazarian. We had a nice table in a little room off the bar and it is in fact a little old New Yorkish…

But whoever did those imitation Tiffany lamps should be taken out to the back and made to eat bad gnocchi! ….high dollar joints should never use FAKE TIFFANY anything. And I have always enjoyed “red light” joints.

Back to the dinner. It seems no matter where Michael Trope and I eat, we find a celebrity or two. Tonight was no different, Tom Selleck was sitting at a table with a few older gentlemen and looked, well, like Tom Selleck.

Our food was good and we all avoided the Filet Mignon meatballs as it was my opinion that this would be an attack on our wallets! …I have often stated many times, I make one of the best meatballs that I have ever tasted. … My son Chris had a nice side of $36 risotto, this would be $7-8 in a nice Italian place as a small side, NOT HERE. …Michael also had a chicken dish and there were no complaints coming from his side of the table. Stand by! …Gelson’s Supermarkets just looked like a giveaway!

Hey the bottom line is this, Peppone’s is not cheap, but the food was good, the service was very friendly and attentive and we had a great evening. Tough to complain, when Michael Trope parked his Bentley Convertible at the curb in front of the restaurant and I had parked my Bentley right behind his….it was a very L.A. moment, two white Bentleys sitting in front of a pricey Brentwood eatery.

Note: Peppone’s has a reputation for being a place that old rich guys will bring their much younger “girlfriends” and snuggle, yuk. Tonight was no exception, some old rich guy brings his “girlfriend” and they fought and snarled right next to us while they snacked on appetizers. It was great! It was like being at work for all three of us. She was very attractive and young, he was old and paid with a Black American Express card, enough said! “Love, is it not special, and very nice“, “ How much”?

Read the rest of Mr. Nazarian critique of a night out with son Chris and good friend Michael Trope, however this article leaves you very hungry for high quality food. While at Desperateexes be sure to spend some time reading articles. Some are funny, some blunt, and many educational
