Most of us expect that Wilma Vicedomine or her alias of Wilma Vice is present in a deposition today. However, I have some questions and would like to have your input.

Who is there today, we know Lin Wood is there and any lawyer that Mr. Wood picks to be there to represent Howard K. Stern. We know that Rita Cosby’s lawyer is there, Elizabeth McNamara, and Hachette Books lawyer Douglas Maynard is probably there as well. Wilma Vice is being represented by Neil McCabe now as an “agent” [employee and therefore a party in the Florida lawsuit], of the O’Quinn Law Firm and Neil McCabe can invite any other lawyer that is listed to be there for the deposition from The O’Quinn Law Firm.

However is Robert Klein there, since he is not representing anyone in the New York case? His September 29 letter to Lin Wood said he would be in Houston this past weekend to prep for Don Clark’s deposition on October 14, but if that deposition is ONLY about Cosby’s book will Mr. Klein be allowed to sit in on these depositions.

The main parties have a right to be present also, that would be Rita Cosby and Howard K. Stern, would they show up? We know that Howard K. Stern loves Texas, NOT, so my bet is he is not there and would not step foot in Texas not even to look the woman in the eye that spent over a year trying to destroy him. My bet is that he will watch the video of this deposition to “meet” Wilma and not be there today. However, will Rita Cosby be there to support Wilma Vicedomine and Don Clark? Why did Cosby who fought so hard to keep everything she said and all of her documents in the New York suit to be held as confidential and never shared with anyone else or in any of the other lawsuits, suddenly changed her mind about handing all of that over to The O’Quinn Law Firm? The fact that her lawyer was willing to do that, addresses the Amended Complaint that Stern filed in Florida in which he alleged in part that people in The O’Quinn Law Firm “conspired” with Cosby on her book. Did Cosby and her lawyer prep for this deposition over the weekend with Wilma Vice? Was Wilma shown the video deposition of Cosby and all of Cosby’s confidential documents to prep for today? I am still amazed that Cosby would take a chance of handing over everything to the O’Quinn Law Firm in regards to her suit in New York, could this end up biting Cosby.

What are your thoughts on is Cosby there today to encourage her source for her book? Did Cosby hand over everything to help her sources? Who do you think are in that room today during the deposition?

Give us your thoughts we want to hear what you think is going on today behind those close doors in Houston Texas?

Then there is the question all of us would love to see the answer to, will Wilma throw any of her alleged email, chat buddies, or blogging buddies under the bus today? Will she hand over those that Wood alleges she gave instructions to post certain things on TMZ.com? Will we know their names as the Florida Suit and New York suit goes forward? How did those excerpts of Cosby book find its way to TMZ.com before the book was even released?

Rita Cosby has filed her “Disclosure 26 witness list” but NOT in the New York Federal Court where she has been able to get the court to agree to a gag order on almost anything Hachette Books and she feels is going to expose her to embarrassment or public ridicule. The court did issue a new “Consent Amended HIGHLY Confidential Order” as the lawsuit goes forward and while asking some witnesses to, now after the fact of the book, give Rita Cosby and Hachette Books very sensitive and personal information as the objection filed in California by Larry Birkhead’s lawyer, Michael Trope shows. The Order also allows Howard K. Stern to play by the same rules. Again, I would add it would have been nice if Cosby had tried to vet her sources before the book instead of after the book, in what now appears allegedly as an attempt of saving her Azz so to say.

We had to dig to come up with the papers in California but come up with them we did, as well as a subpoena served on CNN in Atlanta Georgia by Howard K. Stern. Yes, we have to prowl through the national databases occasionally but as with these papers we found filed in California it is well worth it.

Now what does the witness list tell us about Rita Cosby’s defense? First, we noticed she has many of the same witnesses as Howard K. Stern. However, Cosby now tells us that Bruce Littlefield of New York, alleged friend of Cosby’s good pal; James Edstrom was her “ghost writer”. James Edstrom, whom by the way is NOT on the witness list, I wonder why when he brags about being Cosby’s official photographer for years. Perhaps he will be added to the gang of Cosby’s defenders, as the trial gets closer, isn’t that what good friends are for? Perhaps James Edstrom was never a long time good friend and like so many others in this tragic tale, just hung onto the coat tails of Cosby for a bit to get his own publicity. Any of you know how long Edstrom has been Cosby’s “good buddy”? I continue to say this book read so bad that you have to wonder who wrote it and how quickly, you would think an “award winning journalist” would have taken some writing classes to get her degree. Who is Bruce Littlefield anyway, did he do some garage sale shopping books?

Back to the witness list and who are on it and who is NOT on it which can be, I predict very telling about this blond ambitious “who dunnit” novel passed as fact to readers, in my opinion. We now know that many of the allegations of sure fire, yeppers we know it, stand behind it 120% no 200% is not quite there, it now appears.

Looking at the witness list we see that “grouping of people” we have suspected will tie this up with a Los Angeles, Houston, Florida and into New York of people with similar interests and agendas, in my opinion. After you read it be sure and give us your opinion on this “grouping of people” and if you think they were “reliable” sources for Cosby’s ambitious book. Let’s start with the Texas connection: We have some that both Rita Cosby and Howard K Stern listed including, Virgie Arthur, Don Clark a private investigator for the O’Quinn law firm and the biggest surprise, per Cosby list, once again Wilma Vicedomine listed as a PRIVATE INVESTIGATOR. She is listed on Stern’s list as just a “witness”, not as a private investigator as she ranks on Cosby’s list. So all of you out there that said, she is not important and never passed herself off as a private investigator when we interviewed Pol’ Atteu and Patrik Simpson, they seem to be vindicated here. Why might you ask, simply because Cosby and Hachette both have listed Wilma as just that, a private investigator? I did not know Wilma had a Texas PI license, they are hard to come by. However, per Cosby and Hachette’ list we now know that in fact she claims to be just that, a private investigator; however as the O’Quinn law firm continued to state in December 2007 only for the cases of Virgie Arthur. Can one now get a P.I. license in Texas by the mere fact of knowing a “real” P. I.? Of course, she could be a “P. I.” in training “studying under” Don Clark. I bet some of you can check into the requirements in Texas to claim that special title and get back with us on when Vice accomplished this feat. However, it does appear Wilma is in fact a Private Investigator if Cosby is to be believed.

Then we have a surprise witness on Cosby’s and Hachette’s list, John O’Quinn, was he a source or did he only loan Cosby Wilma and Clark as sources? Is Cosby going to hang these Texas people out to dry so to say if it comes down to “outing” them as prime sources for her book? Did John O’Quinn ever meet Anna Nicole Smith or Daniel Smith? What could he have been a source for in Cosby’s book, other than then what he now claims? If you believe Rita’s past now cancelled show, just like Greta’s On the Record, you have to know that is not real news, and no one believes what is on those shows, called “infotainment. Wonder if he told Cosby that no one watching her now cancelled show on MSNBC would ever accept that as anything but “infotainment”. O’Quinn has gone on to continue to say that Greta and Cosby should never be believed, that has to make both women feel warm, snuggly and loved, NOT. If you doubt that about John O’Quinn’s opinion of Cosby just read the latest filings in the federal court in Florida. None of Anna Nicole Smith’s other family members or friends are listed on Cosby’s list, although some are listed on Howard K. Stern’s list filed publicly with the New York court back in November 2007. Which by the way is when Cosby filed this list, she just chose not to make it public, must have been one of those “confidential documents”.

Then let’s swing out to California, and we have Mark Speer (only now we “think” his name is Spears, or Speers, or Spear), he was “the security person”, working for Debra Opri, the long time good friend of Rita Cosby. Then as we peruse the list we see, some more interesting people on Cosby’s list, some that did and some that didn’t make it on Stern’s list. Cosby and Stern both agree that Mark and Jackie Hatten as well as Jack Harding are all important to this case. I wonder what Jackie Hatten said in her deposition and watching her in court during the trial should be great entertainment. We have all now had a good look at jailhouse Mark Hatten; did Cosby ever look into who this guy really was before interviewing him via phone in prison for her book? You would think that “award winning journalism” might have caused her to stop for a second or two to determine his “believability scale”.

Now getting back to the ever changing tales of Jack Harding the P. I. who did talk to Daniel Smith but only briefly met him for coffee at Starbucks with Ray Martino; Jack Haring whom as the weeks following Anna Nicole’s death “story” grew and evolved kind of like Pinocchio’s nose. Jack Harding, remember him, the P. I., whom we were able to debunk on this site, using his multitude of ever changing interviews. Jack went from saying there was “one brief” meeting to having “several meetings”, from being told Daniel Smith had a previous prescription problem to saying that Don Clark had contacted him and offered to pay his expenses to the Bahamas for the Inquest. Which brings up the question, why didn’t someone as important as Jack Harding not make it on the Bahamas officials “main” people who needed to testify list, but did make it on Don Clark’s list? Jack Harding ended up, it appears, being a major source of information for Cosby’s book, did she not pick up that this guy’s story kept changing? She based almost a whole chapter on what Jack Harding had to say, including having to save John Nazarian from being treed, ah I mean fenced by Harding’s dogs.

Both Cosby and Stern continue to agree in California that Ray Martino is important; Larry Birkhead whose lawyer is trying to reign in the broad reaching subpoena with Cosby and Hachette’s lawyers to see if the new “Consent Amended Order” is enough for Cosby to be able to go through all things concerning Larry Birkhead. If I had the money to make a bet, I bet that “fishing expedition” into Birkhead’s life will be severely limited by the federal court in California if Birkhead and Cosby’s lawyers cannot reach an agreement. I might add here that Cosby and Hachette are “beefing” up their list of Pro Hac Vice lawyers to appear if a court hearing is needed in California.

Stern and Cosby both have Anna Nicole’s ex-assistant, Kim Walther on this list; as well as Ron Rale, Anna’s lawyer and ex-law partner of Howard K. Stern and still friends with Howard K. Stern. On Cosby’s list he is just listed as a friend to Howard K. Stern. Is Ron Rale the attorney close to Stern and Birkhead that Rita said in interviews that she had several conversations with before and during her writing of the book? Everyone in all lawsuits, in all states wants the ET employees, especially Bonnie Tiegel and Mark Steines; it appears they are listed in this lawsuit as well as the Houston Texas federal suit and the Florida federal suit. Am I the only one here seeing overlapping players in all three federal suits?

Both lists have Dr. Kapor and Dr. Khris listed. However, with Cosby bragging about how her book got all of the investigations kicked back into high gear, Florida and the Inquest in particular, I wonder if she can get either doctor to appear. I know we continue to lose our Constitutional Rights, but last I heard if these doctors are still being investigated by anyone then I doubt Cosby is going to get any “good and spicy” testimony from them to back up her and Littlefield’s books claims.

Now we have some interesting developments in all of this: First Pol’ Atteu and Patrik Simpson, they are listed on Stern’s witness list but NOT on Cosby’s witness list. However, we might note that making a full disclosure to us for their deposition that stated they had dinner with Cosby, her lawyer and her lawyer’s assistant in New York in mid-March and then received a subpoena in April by Cosby’s people. Remember that Pol’ and Patrik swears to us in their “full disclosure” that they only talked about raising children, and Pol’ and Patrik were “curious” about Rita so decided to take her and her lawyer up on an offer for dinner. Second, during our interview with Nathan Collins, he said up front that Hachette’s private investigators had interviewed him; he is on Stern’s list as possibly having information about Cosby’s book but not on Cosby’s list.

Then we have two surprises on Cosby’s list, John Nazarian, again why didn’t she talk to him while writing her book she put his email addy in the book so we all could email Mr. Nazarian? By the way, thanks Rita for doing that, after your book came out we emailed him and he ended up writing about the Anthony Pellicano trial for us. However, I have to wonder how many idiots emailed him thanks to you putting his email address in your book. Bottom line is that Cosby really could have contacted him if she had wanted. He would not have talked to you about any clients, like Birkhead and Stern, but I bet he could have talked to you about being treed (ah fenced) by Harding’s dogs and then saved by Harding himself. However, if Cosby had done that homework about vetting her sources that “intimidation chapter” about Mr. Nazarian would have probably had to end up on the editor’s floor.

Drum roll here, we then have Debra Opri listed as a witness. Am I the only one seeing a pattern of lawyers or ex-lawyers as key players end up on Cosby’s list of people who can vouch for her “who dunnit” book? Can Opri discuss an ex-client like Birkhead? I mean she did that June 6, 2007 filing that became almost the entire bases for chapter 12 of Cosby’s book. It is just a “minor fact” that the June 6, 2007 filing by Opri had been stricken by the California Court before the book was published, perhaps she can testify as to why she filed that in the first place. I am willing to bet that little filing has cost Ms. Opri some television appearances, some clients, but she did get a new Hollyweird term named after her, the “I’ve been Opried”.

The South Carolina, Florida and the Bahamas list of people are also overlapping in the lawsuits. However, Cosby gives us two surprises here, it appears we now know the name of the boat handyman she based so much of her book on, Todd Smith. The other person that seems to be very absent from Cosby’s list is the “male employee confidante” from the Bahamas that so much of Cosby’s book about Stern mistreatment of Anna Nicole was based on. Which brings up my next question, is it cool to put a character who is perhaps fictitious into a “non-fiction book” even though it reads like a “who dunnit” novel? Perhaps L. Lin Wood and Howard K. Stern were right in their interviews about saying this guy never existed.

I suggest you pull Stern’s witness list and the Cosby and Hachette witness lists and compare them side by side. For me it was all of the same people gathering in all of the different jurisdictions from sea to sea and to foreign countries. It seems to be a close-knit circle of “friends-enemies”, and a lot of “who dunnit” alleged theorists.

I was invited to the 2nd Annual Reality Check Event last weekend in W. Hollywood, CA as a celebrity guest. Since this event happened to fall on Gay Pride weekend, it was chaotic and fun…tons of people! I was remembering how Anna Nicole Smith was the Grand Marshal for “Gay Pride” years ago and how happy she was with all the adoring fans, as she waved from the car!

When I arrived at the event I noticed that Nathan Collins was arriving in a taxi just in front of my Mercedes, he was also invited to this event. Talk about timing! Nathan exited the taxi with an Anna Nicole Look Alike. I was like OMG! Of course, no one can look like Anna Nicole Smith to me really. There are many cheap imitations, kind of like with Elvis Presley, but nothing as exceptional as Anna Nicole herself. I am not kissing butt either. I have never met Nathan before but I was aware of him as all of us “Anna people” are. Nathan and I ended up on the red carpet, not together, but one after the other, taking photo after photo. He seemed to be a little nervous and excited. After the pictures on the carpet, I figured I would introduce myself to him. He seemed shy, to me, and I even included Rose Speaks.com in my introduction to him.

Even though we all know of one another, there always seems to be a moment of “Uncomfortable”, something I never quite understand. Sometimes I am not sure if it is something else other than “uncomfortable” and something more evil, like “what are you doing here?” because it feels like that sometimes. Anyway, Nathan and I chit chatted and I felt he was pretty cool.

Later on, I met this woman who is friends with Bobby Trendy, yes, my archenemy. She was in shock when she met me. She also informed me that Bobby was to be arriving any minute and she was told not to speak to me from Bobby. I had no idea Bobby was attending I told her because he was not listed on the celebrity list of names. She was very sweet we actually hit it off! She even confided to me that Bobby Trendy had me “taken out” of an event I was suppose to be invited to. Like that was a surprise. This lady friend of Bobby’s was a sweetheart, actually. I could have talked with her for a long time, and Lyndal Harrington of Rose Speaks.com knows how I like to talk LOL!

Well, Bobby Trendy entered the event without any of his “drag” on, looking like an undeveloped teenager, with shorts on! He saw me, immediately, and screamed my name, the right name this time, at the top of his lungs to the crowd and was smiling. Whether it was a fake smile is one thing. I am not “friendly” with Bobby but in public you have to make the right image, ya know what I mean?

All of a sudden, it was strange, there we were Nathan Collins, Bobby Trendy, and I were all at the same event. Well, one of the photographers came up with an idea and pushed all three of us together for the biggest photo-op. I was not quite sure what was going on until I heard someone say, “Look, it’s Anna’s Angels” and then I got it. It happened so quickly that all I remember was a row of cameras in front of us clicking away. I was very uncomfortable being next to Bobby. This photo above is from my camera, but there were dozen’s taken. I still don’t get why there is this strange vibe between the people in Anna Nicole Smith’s life, whether, gay, bi or hetero. I mean, my battle with Bobby is understandable, but I guess we are all acquaintances of Anna Nicole, which makes us acquaintances of each other in a weird way. I think that day Anna was looking down at us from the heavens and smiling. Or at least I hope so.

Because of pending litigation in so many venues even involving us here at Rose Speaks, we had to do a lot of thinking about how to present this interview without Rose Speaks or Pol’ Atteu and Patrik Simpson being pulled further into any litigation. After a lot of discussion, which is why this interview took so long to write, is that, we decided to just do it in the questions covered in our interview and with their answers adding no spin f us, with no interpretation from us.

The second part of this interview with Patrik and Pol’ are a few more intimate memories about Anna Nicole Smith who they spent many special times with and loved dearly. As they say in the introduction of their book, “Moments with Anna could be as simple as having a peaceful dinner at her home, being called in the middle of the night because she was bored, jumping into a limousine with bodyguards and hitting the town all night, or just climbing into her bed and watching a movie.” Featured in “In Touch Weekly Magazine” Patrik said, “She was an incredible soul. I don’t think I’ll really have a friend like her again in my lifetime.”

Although we talked many times by phone, because of all our combined obligations and litigations, we also sent them questions to answer in their own words. In part three, I will also elaborate on the remaining questions after their “written” answers from our many conversations.

Here are the questions and answers of part two of our exclusive with Pol’ Atteu and Patrik Simpson in their own words…

Question: Was Anna Nicole Smith ever insecure when she was larger?

Answer: Anna Nicole always had this childlike insecurity about her. But, when it came right down to it, she knew how to step out of that insecurity for any given moment she needed to perform. She [Anna Nicole Smith] had this incredible presence about her and an undeniable confidence whenever she was in the spotlight. However, when the cameras were off and the photographers were away, she could very easily delve into an insecure state of mind. She was always worried about what people thought of her. When she was large she hated the fact that people made fun of her because she was fat. Anna Nicole Smith didn’t like the fact that designers would not send her their clothes because of her weight. Pol’ dressed her with the same love, care and attention whether she was fat or thin, or in-between.

Question: In your book you say, “She hated the fact that when she was overweight people had a different opinion of her.” Did Anna Nicole Smith hold grudges with those designers that did not offer to do gowns for her when she was heavy? Did she feel a more kinship to other women battling that stereotype of today’s society of looks and thinness is everything?

Answer: Anna Nicole didn’t necessarily hold grudges, because she had a big heart. But, she never forgot. When it came down to it, she didn’t hold it against the designer, but she loved the fact that Pol’ was always there for when she was fat and thin. Whenever she needed a gown, even if it was last minute, she adored Pol’ and always knew she could count on him. That’s what friends do…count on each other. Anna Nicole always stuck up for the underdog and that definitely included overweight women, as well as men. She was very happy that her TrimSpa campaign had motivated so many women & men to take the initiative and get their bodies in shape. She was proud of that.

Question: Did she have one favorite movie or just several that she watched over and over again? Other than Marilyn did she have any other favorites actors/actresses? Did she love horror movies as Nathan Collins told us and if so which one was her favorite?

Answer: Anna loved ALL kinds of scary movies. She loved the blood gore and guts. She and Shelby would watch all the “Halloween” and the “Hellrasier” movies over and over again. She loved and ADORED John Travolta. She was so excited that she got to meet him for “Be Cool”. She had a framed picture of her & Daniel with John Travolta that she kept on her living room table, that we brought to the Bahamas and she kept it on her nightstand.

Question: You say in your book, Anna Nicole Smith had a leopard design living room, with photos and paintings of her everywhere, did she also have paintings and artwork she did hanging throughout the house? Was there a room on the lower level of her home near Daniel’s bedroom that just held her own artwork that she drew or painted? What was her favorite painting or picture of her she had in her home? Did she do a lot of clown drawings or paintings or clay she worked with we have heard during other interviews concerning Anna Nicole Smith?

Answer: There were pictures of Anna Nicole everywhere in her house. Some of her favorites were of her dressed as Marilyn Monroe, and of course any photo with her and Daniel together. Her two favorite pictures of her and Daniel was when she was reaching up for him (it was a black & white photo) and the photo from the G-Phoria awards show where she was kissing his cheek.

Daniel Smith’s bedroom was on the very bottom of the house (the lower level). Anna Nicole also had her Barbie room there. This was her special room filled with every kind of Barbie you could possibly imagine. When Shelby was much younger she and Anna would play Barbie’s in that room forever.

Anna was a wonderful artist. She had so many paintings of everything. She loved painting clowns, flowers… and especially self-portraits. Before she went to the Bahamas we had talked to her [Anna Nicole] about painting Pol’ and I and our daughter, Shelby. Sadly, that never came about.

One of Anna¹s favorite paintings she did (hanging in the Bahamas house) was a self-portrait of her with her hand on her belly & “Hannah” on a cloud. She painted it while she was pregnant. At the time, she was going to name Dannielynn Hannah.

Question: In your book you say; “She [Anna Nicole] possessed that special, unique something that set her apart while also being very comfortable in her own skin. I think that was part of her appeal and something that most people simply can’t claim.” So Anna liked Anna? Anna was secure with Anna for the most part? Care to elaborate on this?

Answer: It was two-fold Anna Nicole Smith loved Anna Nicole Smith at times, and then there were the times Anna was insecure and needed people around her to tell her what she wanted or needed to hear to make her feel better about herself. Even if they didn’t mean what they were saying…as many of the “hangers-on” did that just to appease her. She always got the truth from us, whether it was the painful truth or not…it was still the truth. She respected us for that. Anna was more secure in the persona “Anna Nicole – Celebrity” than Anna [the woman]. I think it was quite easy for to get lost in the celebrity status and it was a way for her to escape her pain from her childhood. “Anna Nicole – Celebrity” didn’t have to face those issues.

Question: Did she [Anna Nicole] love her fans? What did she ever share with y’all about her love for her fans? Did you ever see her stay to sign autographs or have pictures taken with fans after she was too tired to go on?

Answer: Of course! Anna Nicole Smith adored all her fans. She went above and beyond to please them whenever she could. Anna was the type of person that would stay until she saw everyone. If there were 50 people clamoring to get her autograph, she would not leave the room until she attended to all 50 of them. Many times she was exhausted but kept on going just to make her fans happy.

Question: Is it true that once Anna stopped trusting someone, then that person became history in her life? Can you name anyone you saw that happen to?

Answer: Anna Nicole Smith had many people that came and went in her life. Anna had hangers-on around her that were the type of people that were in her life just because she was Anna Nicole Smith. She had a difficult time trusting anyone because many so many people were in it for themselves. Pol’ and I were rare because we didn’t need Anna to make a name for ourselves. We are both successful in our prospective fields. Pol’ has many celebrity clients and I have had my modeling and talent agency for 16 years. We are both well established in our industry.

Question: Have you met Rita Cosby, and did she interview you for her book?

Answer: We had never met Rita Cosby until much later after Anna Nicole Smith was buried. We did see Rita Cosby at the funeral & she did show up to the reception.

Question: About Wilma Vicedomine, how often did she continue to call you? Did she leave messages or was it just picked up by caller ID? When was the last time Wilma called? Do you have any emails from Wilma?

Answer: I called Wilma Vicedomine back and we spoke for a few minutes. She asked me for my email address and I gave it to her, but she never sent me an email. Wilma Vicedomine asked if I could answer the questions she had for me. She asked me if I knew about what was going on in the “Bahamas house”, she asked me if I knew Jackie Hatten or if I had spoken to Nazarian? She asked me my opinion of Larry Birkhead as a father.

Part three tomorrow will be about the important people in Anna Nicole Smith’s life, from Howard K. Stern, to Larry Birkhead, and Virgie Arthur. Part three will also be about Daniel Smith, his life and his death. The rest of what Pol’ and Patrik say about Rita Cosby and her book and the final things about Wilma Vicedomine including what she offered them, we think you will be surprised at that.

I asked Nathan Collins if he knew why Kimmie left after being with Anna Nicole Smith for several years; Nathan stated that Kimmie had just suffered burn out, but remained good friends with Anna Nicole Smith after she left as her personal assistant. Kimmie he believes moved back to Palm Springs, which is where she grew up.

On my questions about Ray Martino, Nathan Collins only knew a few things, that he was private, never gave interviews, and had been friends with Anna Nicole Smith for many years. When Anna Nicole had to ask Daniel Smith to leave as the drugs and drinking became more of an issue in Anna and Daniel’s relationship, Daniel moved in with Ray Martino.

Nathan stated he knew “of” Wes, Dr. Khristine Eroshevich husband and that the couple were good friends of Anna Nicole Smith. Nathan never met Dr. Eroshevich, and to the best of Nathan’s memory, Dr. Eroshevich never treated Anna Nicole. Dr. Sandeep Kapoor was the main doctor for both Anna Nicole Smith and Daniel Smith in the several months that Nathan lived and worked at the studio city home.

In the first part of November 2005, Nathan Collins accompanied Anna Nicole as she appeared as the surprise celebrity for the “Legendary Bingo”. Anna Nicole Smith was the caller of the numbers at that charity and the funds went to give scholarships to student nurses who otherwise could not have attended nursing school. Nathan observed Anna Nicole for four straight hours, posing for pictures with fans and signing autographs. Nathan stated she never complained about not eating or getting a break. Anna Nicole always tried not to disappoint her fans who wanted to meet her at any event. Nathan shared with me moreover, she never turned a fan away.

Anna Nicole Smith was a prolific artist and was very artistically talented in painting. Nathan Collins recounted, there was one extra large room next to Daniel Smith’s bedroom. That room was used to store Anna Nicole’s artwork. Nathan says there had to be in excess of over 100 paintings by Anna Nicole in that room, not to mention original artwork that hung throughout the home that was done by her.

Nathan did not know what Anna Nicole Smith’s favorite country songs were, but did say she had a Karaoke machine in her bedroom and she loved to sing “Santa Baby”, Anna Nicole had a lot of fun with the Karaoke and insisted others, including Nathan on many occasions, join in with her singing.

Nathan Collins recalled that on November 15, 2005, he left to do some errands for Anna Nicole and she was going to sit down and watch an ABC Prime Time special where they were going to show some home video tapes of her. He believes these were filmed while she was dating or married to J. Howard Marshall II. When Nathan Collins left for the errands Anna Nicole Smith was fine and upbeat, when he returned from the errands Anna Nicole had already had an anxiety attack upon learning that members of her Texas family had apparently sold videos of Anna’s personal life to the media. This anxiety attack was so severe that it brought out a total paranoid side of Anna and she could not leave her bed. It was this attack and the trauma of Anna Nicole Smith watching that ABC Prime Time special that was one of the main reasons for Anna Nicole, Daniel, and Nathan to visit the Shelley/Thompson home in S. C. for what was to be a short visit and then turned into a two-month stint.

I asked Nathan what he thought Anna Nicole Smith would have felt and said about leaking the pictures, and in some cases what appeared to be selling pictures, videos, etc. of a personal nature about Anna. Nathan was quick with an answer; Anna Nicole would be enraged, furious that her personal and private life was out for the world to see. When I asked him about the infamous pictures of the Methadone in the refrigerator and the so-called death pictures of Daniel, Nathan said if Anna Nicole Smith had been alive when any of those were released it would have caused, in his opinion, a complete spiral downward into a dark depression and a feeling of betrayal to Anna.

Nathan Collins said Virgie Arthur was just an off-topic situation with Anna Nicole; she made it clear there were major problems and reasons for the estrangement between them. That on the few times Virgie’s name came up when he was employed by Anna, she would almost growl while talking about her mother. Nathan also came from a background of child abuse and he said only once did Anna Nicole Smith and he sit in private and discuss Anna’s childhood. When he saw the ET special of Anna Nicole talking about her childhood and calling Virgie Arthur, “mommy dearest” she was once again recounting what she had said to others as well as to Nathan about their estrangement. Nathan Collins mused that he bet the ET film editors had to do a lot of editing to remove profanity from Anna Nicole before that clip could be shown on television. Nathan also said when he watched that clip, he did not see an Anna Nicole drugged or stoned, he saw a very sober Anna Nicole shaking with rage and breaking her long silence publicly.

Nathan asked me during our interview, what kind of mother or grandmother would be making appearances only six days after the death of her grandson in what she had to know was Anna Nicole’s darkest hours and say what Virgie Arthur said. About selling any pictures of Daniel to the media, he felt only Virgie Arthur would ever be able to answer that question, in Nathan’s opinion that had to add to what would have already been inconsolable grief for Anna Nicole Smith.

~About Anna Nicole Smith, her son Daniel Smith, his life and death~

Nathan Collins started this part of the interview with the statement; “Daniel Smith was a slice of heaven, very smart and never said an unkind word about anyone.” He was like that, Nathan said, up until the time he became involved in drugs and alcohol. Once that happened then he and Anna Nicole began to fight. Nathan Collins left the studio city home and the employment of Anna Nicole near the end of February 2006 but remained very close to Daniel Smith until just a few weeks before Daniel left for the Bahamas.

Then the most surprising part of the interview was when I asked Nathan why he and Daniel Smith remained close. Simple answer, said Nathan Collins, Nathan’s roommate was none other then the older “woman” whom Daniel Smith had once been involved with and loved. I of course, wanted to know EVERYTHING. Nathan Collins decline to go into that wanting to protect this woman and was surprised that I knew her first name. Nathan described that relationship as Daniel being in love and infatuated with her, but the emotions were not reciprocated. Nathan agreed, with other reports by Daniel’s friends that Daniel picked girls or women to fall in love with that would eventually break his heart.

Not getting very far in that line of questioning I proceeded to ask about Anna Nicole Smith’s relationship with Daniel. He said Anna Nicole was a great mother, but also very complex. Like some of my generation of parents, would say if you are going to drink stay at home so I know you are safe, that is how Anna Nicole was about mild use of drugs and alcohol by Daniel.

Daniel loved his mother; the bond between them would be hard for any outsider to understand. Daniel was the one constant in Anna’s life, her rock, the one person that never betrayed her, until he began to experiment with drugs. “Anna would have taken a bullet for Daniel”, quoted Nathan.

Daniel had a hard time in public school, Nathan said, because Anna his whole life had sheltered him. Daniel was shy to the point it would be almost like a disability, Nathan explained during our interview and because of that alcohol allowed Daniel to over compensate with friends he desperately wanted to fit in with those last few months.

Nathan has heard the story of Daniel contacting Jack Harding and in his opinion, it is totally beyond being able to believe. Howard K. Stern had been in Daniel’s life since Daniel was ten, why would Daniel suddenly want Howard K. Stern investigated, he does not believe Jack Harding and feels like that is one more person looking for television time. Nathan added that Howard K. Stern was never a father figure to Daniel but he was like a big brother. Nathan said that Howard was very good to Daniel; went to movies with him; played pool with him and Howard’s nickname for Daniel was “Cracker”. Nathan did not know where the nickname came from but when I told Nathan of the yacht Anna Nicole Smith had bought in Florida and had named it “The Cracker”, Nathan became silent for a few moments as if to take that in. He then said it would be very much like Anna to name a yacht “The Cracker” and it was not a racial slur at all, but probably a living tribute to Daniel and her love for him. The name of the yacht was probably something that would have made her smile with time as she loved the water and loved to go boating.

Nathan knows that Daniel had at times been around marijuana but to the best of Nathan’s knowledge never used it. When I asked him about Larry Birkhead testifying about the Ecstasy, Nathan remembered that as well. Nathan also remembered one time in May 2006, when Daniel tried cocaine once after moving out from his mother.

I asked Nathan about the Bahamian authorities contacting him and he said; no they had not and that surprised him since he spent so much time with Daniel as Daniel’s downward spiral with drugs began. Daniel Smith never brought Virgie’s name up; it seemed to be a non-issue for Daniel. He also said no investigator had contacted him on behalf of Virgie Arthur, and he hopes they do not for he does not think they would like what he would have to say.

Nathan said, Daniel was prone to depression and had bad eating habits, he loved Pizza and as he began to experiment with drugs, he began to let himself go and not eating healthy. Nathan said that Daniel liked all of the normal things young adults liked and he thought he was invincible. Also a little “fun fact” about Daniel is that he LOVED the Madonna album “Confessions on a Dance Floor”, but his preferred music genre was hard rock/heavy metal.

Friends of Daniel, including Nathan and the female roommate, “we would love to get an interview with”, saw a severe misuse of Methadone and alcohol with Daniel in the spring of 2006 and they all feared that Daniel was spiraling out of control. Daniel stole Anna’s Methadone pills, that and alcohol were his drugs of choice. Nathan said who knows why someone picks using one drug over the other.

I asked Nathan if he had heard the accusations of Howard being responsible in some way for Daniel’s death. I expected since he does not like Howard K. Stern a different answer than what Nathan gave me. Nathan said, “IN NO WAY” did he think or would he ever think that Howard was in any way complicit with Daniel’s death, he loved Daniel and Daniel felt close to Howard.

Nathan feels that Daniel’s death was a horrible accident. That Daniel was terrified of flying and had never flown alone. The trip to the Bahamas would be his first time to fly alone and would be coast to coast. Nathan thinks that Daniel took Methadone and other downers to calm his nerves and probably to try to sleep throughout the flight. He feels sometime later after getting to the Bahamas, while Howard and Anna were asleep, that Daniel popped some more downers to try to sleep, laid down in his mother’s arms and died from a terrible accident, in Nathan’s opinion.

Anna Nicole Smith was superstitious and yet had great faith, she might have thought about bringing Daniel Smith to California to be buried, but would have never wanted Texas. In the end, Nathan felt that Anna decided on the Bahamas because “she would have wanted to bury Daniel where Daniel’s soul had departed his body” and that was the Bahamas. I had to stop our interview for a few minutes after that because of the effect of Nathan’s words. Nathan feels that is why it took Anna Nicole Smith so long to decide, she must have been torn between California but settled on the Bahamas, and she would of course wanted to be buried next to him and would NEVER want either of their graves disturbed or moved because of those beliefs.

~About Anna Nicole Smith her son Daniel Smith, their life, death and legacies~

Nathan Collins again said he personally did not like Howard K. Stern, but he also does not think Howard K. Stern had anything to do with Daniel or Anna Nicole Smith’s death. On a practical aspect, Nathan stated, Anna Nicole Smith made a lot of money, why would Howard K. Stern want her dead.

Why did the world become obsessed with Anna Nicole Smith in death? Nathan Collins said it was partially the 24-hour “Infotainment coverage by the media”, but he also thinks Anna Nicole Smith is this generation’s “Marilyn Monroe” story.

Anna Nicole Smith was a “wonderful person, funny, great qualities in her life, but also sadly, there was a tragic ending waiting for her, and some people who met or knew Anna Nicole sensed that”.

Nathan still has dreams about Anna Nicole, he tries to hold onto the good memories and let go of the bad ones. He has not been offered any book deals and if he ever did one about his life, Anna would only be a chapter out of his life; it would not be about her.

Nathan like Kimmie has returned to where he was raised to regroup and decide what he wants to do with his life. He is doing stage plays and loves doing that but does not know if he will ever move back to Hollywood.

Daniel Smith’s legacy: Nathan says, that young people needed to know that at 20 you are NOT invincible. That mixing drugs is deadly, and he hopes instead of all of the finger pointing that the real message for thousands of other kids not get lost. Nathan also feels that is what Anna Nicole would have wanted Daniel’s life and legacy to be, to educate other young people of the danger of prescription drugs.

Anna Nicole Smith’s legacy: She is our Marilyn Monroe; learn from her ability to dream big and to rise above her tragic child hood. Another important lesson like Daniel Smith, “improper abuse of prescription drugs kill”. A simple legacy but one Nathan hopes everyone will learn from and that would be a living legacy to Anna Nicole Smith.

Nathan Collins told me right at the outset of this interview that he did not like Howard K. Stern, for personal reasons and I have to say I cringed as in “where is this interview going to go”. I spent several delightful hours talking to Nathan Collins and found it refreshing he could say he did not like someone but still give a very objective interview.

Nathan Collins also told me he had not been contacted by anyone who has written a book about Anna Nicole Smith, and has never spoken with any of the many authors out there with books either off or on the record. He does feel Rita Cosby based her book on rumors and unreliable sources such as Jackie Hatten, and in his opinion rushed to get it published while the subject was still “hot” or in the public eye and that is perhaps why there are errors in the book. He has not read the book, and did not know that Patrick and Pol had written a book, as he was not contacted for that book either.

Because of pending litigation in Florida, New York, the Bahamas, etc., Nathan Collins did not wish to say anything on the record other then what is shared here in this article. So do not expect a lot of sensationalism but do expect I hope some real insight to Anna Nicole Smith’s last personal assistant and one of her insiders.

~About Anna Nicole Smith hiring her staff and personal assistants~

Nathan Collins met Anna Nicole Smith in a Gay Bar in Palm Springs through Anna Nicole Smith’s then personal assistant Kimmie. In fact, Nathan Collins said he was a tad miffed at Anna Nicole Smith the night she first came into the bar because the whole conversation in the bar stopped which means his tips plummeted. He chuckled softly with me at the memory of that.

Nathan like many of Anna Nicole Smith’s employees first became her friend and then began to work for her as Kimmie left. Kimmie asked Nathan to drive Anna Nicole back from Palm Springs that weekend and in fact he said Kimmie was the one that trained him slowly as a friend to just “baby-sit” Anna Nicole Smith at times while Anna was reading through her lines in the script Illegal Aliens. One weekend as Nathan was about to leave to go back to Palm Springs to work, Anna Nicole Smith begged him not to leave, they negotiated his salary and expenses and Anna Nicole called the bar he worked in and said “Nathan won’t be coming back”, thus started Nathan’s journey into the inner circle of Anna Nicole Smith.

Anna Nicole Smith hired people she liked and trusted, no background checks, no long interviewing, just building up that trust that is so illusive for a celebrity in Hollywood. Nathan Collins recounted that he had not even signed a non-disclosure agreement with Anna Nicole Smith for several months until Howard K. Stern realized there was not one in the files and Nathan was then asked to sign one and had no problem with that.

Anna Nicole Smith like to be in her pool and liked her beer warm, however he also says like many others Anna Nicole Smith was not always drunk or stoned.

His last contact with Anna Nicole Smith was in May 2006, after Daniel Smith had moved out and Nathan had left her employment when he text Anna “I love you”. He never heard back from Anna Nicole Smith but remained friends with Daniel until just a few weeks before Daniel Smith left for the Bahamas.

Anna Nicole Smith was never afraid to hug anyone or to truly care especially about children who had HIV, she understood this was not a “gay plague” and she was saddened about children who were born with HIV. Anna Nicole Smith kept that part of her life very private and did not cash in on it in her public image. At one event Nathan represented Anna Nicole Smith at the “Actors for Children with Autism”, she gave Nathan a $1,000.00 to spend at the event and sent Nathan with two of her personal paintings she had done and a dress to have raffled off to help these children.

~Who was the Real Anna Nicole Smith~

Defining who Anna Nicole Smith was as a person was easy for Nathan, he said anyone wanting to know the “real” Anna Nicole Smith should see Illegal Aliens and the character of Lucy, which is the closes to knowing the real Anna Nicole Smith the public could ever have. After talking to Nathan I must admit I have put that movie on my “must buy list”.

Anna Nicole Smith was a vegetarian the last couple of years of her life, Nathan said. She loved Grapefruit, tomato soup with LOTS of milk and butter in fact it could not be creamy enough for Anna. She loved pickles, grilled cheese sandwiches, and like Elvis Presley, she loved peanut butter and banana sandwiches. One of Anna Nicole Smith’s best memories she shared with Nathan was having Larry Birkhead take her picture outside of Graceland at the gates; she was a great fan of Elvis Presley. When I asked Nathan about Anna’s love for KFC, he chuckled and said that there were many runs to KFC but it was for “Sugar Pie, Puppy, Frankie and Marilyn”, Anna’s four dogs who loved fried chicken and it was bought, brought home and de-boned for her dogs.

Anna wanted to be a mother, she wanted more children and even discussed adopting some children, and she wanted a daughter but Nathan did not remember any “hope chest” that Virgie Arthur has recounted on shows. Anna Nicole loved being a mother that was simply part of who Anna Nicole was.

Anna Nicole Smith was a good singer and if the fans would have taken her seriously and not just another “ditsy dumb blonde” Nathan feels, she could have made it as a country singer. He added that she had ambitions to make a recording of her favorite country songs.

Anna Nicole Smith never got over the public making a “joke of her” that hurt her deeply, in fact when Anna Nicole Smith attended a roast of Pamela Anderson, some of the speakers made some jokes about Anna Nicole Smith and that hurt. Anna Nicole Smith loved horror films as did Nathan and they spent many a night watching them, in one of the ones they watched there was suddenly a mention of Anna Nicole Smith making a jab of fun at her, Anna Nicole Smith became serious and turned off the movie. She hated being the butt of public ridicule and wanted people to see that she was funny, but she was also smart. Nathan said you don’t make it in Hollywood without being street smart and Anna Nicole Smith had that going for her. She was in control of her life and demanding, and once she wrote someone off, they were out of her life. Normally this was because something would make Anna Nicole Smith not trust a person and sadly Hollywood is full of people that take advantage of celebrities, Anna Nicole Smith was not exempt from that.

Nathan said Anna Nicole Smith was very generous with her employees, but also feared any of them could and would steal from her. Anna Nicole was a very complex person in that the things she trusted you with could come back to bite you with her. Nathan also said no one was better at the “silent treatment” then Anna was when she was mad at one of her “inner circle”.

Nathan did share one thing with me I found fascinating not following Anna Nicole Smith in life, her bedroom was like a modern day “panic room” we all read about the rich and famous needing. All of the security cameras throughout the house and grounds came into that room as a feed into Anna Nicole Smith’s TV.

~About Larry Birkhead and Howard K. Stern~

Nathan only had a few comments about Larry Birkhead and Howard K. Stern because of pending litigations. One that Nathan Collins is gay and Larry Birkhead never made a pass at him or any other gay man in Nathan’s presence. Nathan also said he found it almost humorous about Howard K. Stern having a sexual relationship with Larry Birkhead. Howard K. Stern is not gay, or if he is he is a very deep closet gay man. Larry Birkhead and Howard K. Stern have a past together, but it is not as gay lovers, Nathan stated.

Nathan also said that he emailed Larry Birkhead the day before Anna Nicole Smith died, and then talked to Larry Birkhead the day of Anna’s death. Then like everyone who was close to Anna Nicole, Nathan’s phone ranged repeatedly that day as all who knew her was shocked that such a presence as Anna Nicole Smith was gone. Like many, he feared that Anna Nicole Smith would not survive long without her beloved son, and Nathan did say that he had hoped that Dannielynn’s middle name of “Hope” would give hope to Anna Nicole Smith and pull her through that terrible loss in her life when Daniel died.

Bobby Trendy was never Anna Nicole Smith’s friend, he was hired by the E channel to be outrageous to decorate the Studio City home, nothing more, it was to be outrageous and then Bobby Trendy was to be fired, it was all for the show, in Nathan’s opinion there was never any real closeness there. Nathan added proudly, asking if I had known that Anna Nicole’s reality show was the top rated reality show. I had heard that but I could tell that Nathan still felt pride in Anna for that accomplishment.

Nathan also told me that Jackie Hatten appearing on every show she could get on after Anna Nicole Smith died he found tasteless. Nathan recounted to me that Jackie had been out of Anna’s life for years at Anna’s death and he had never heard of any “real closeness” between them for years, probably not since Jackie’s brother Mark Hatten was arrested. Certainly, Nathan did not remember Jackie being Daniel’s godmother as she portrayed to the world she was after Anna Nicole Smith’s death.

I asked Nathan about the now infamous MTV award show that everyone talks about Anna Nicole Smith being out of it. Although Nathan was not with Anna Nicole Smith at that time he did directly ask Kimmie about that and “how out of it” Anna was. Kimmie said that Anna was cold sober that night. That led Nathan and I to talk about the seizures, the insomnia, the anxiety meds for public appearances, which in turn led to the statement that it was feasible to Nathan that what America saw that night was not a drunk or stoned Anna Nicole Smith. What America saw that night was in fact a woman who had an extra dose of seizures meds, a seizure the night before which left her drained and that alone would have slurred her speech in Nathan’s opinion. Add to that the lack of sleep and the anxiety med of Xanax and that could very well have been what America saw and wrote off as Anna Nicole Smith stoned and drunk one more time.

Nathan was with Anna Nicole Smith at Ford Shelley’s home in November – December 2005. Ford Shelley and G. Ben Thompson were rich but the one thing Anna Nicole Smith had they did not have was she was a celebrity and they wanted that in their life. They knew how to treat Anna Nicole Smith like a child, like a princess and she always responded to that, he feels like the infamous clown video is way over stated, and agrees with the statements in the interview of Tara Grinna by Art Harris, that Riley is one spoiled kid. However, Nathan is quick to add that the Thompson/Shelley families were gracious hosts the whole time that he was there with Anna and Daniel Smith and Howard K. Stern. The two families bought Anna Nicole Smith lavish gifts for both her birthday and for Christmas. Anna, as Nathan remembers loved the way they treated her, especially for her birthday. Gina Shelley was always in the kitchen cooking “yummy dishes”, and they were gracious hosts while their guests were there, even letting Nathan drive their BMW’s for errands. Nathan added that Ford Shelley kept a well stock bar, which Nathan was grateful for on that almost two months extended stay.

No matter how rich G. Ben Thompson and Ford Shelley were, they did not have the Celebrity that courting Anna Nicole Smith into their lives would give them. He thinks that had a lot to do with Ford Shelley finding a country that would allow Anna Nicole Smith to be the only “parent” of Dannielynn, just as she had always been the “only parent” of Daniel Smith. He has mused on why they turned on a friend like Larry Birkhead to court Anna Nicole Smith’s favor, and the money can’t buy you a celebrity is the only explanation he had for that relationship.

The true nature of the Shelly/Thompson “falling out” with Anna Nicole Smith and Howard K. Stern is still unclear to Nathan, and he has never talked to them about what caused this falling out. Nathan quickly added that he did not want all that he [Nathan] said in the interview to sound negative about the Shelley/Thompson trip. During that two months Nathan said that the families did try to make them [Anna, Daniel, Nathan and Howard] feel as if “we were all very wanted and welcomed friends”.

Nathan did recall Daniel Smith getting drunk while at Ford Shelley’s home, so drunk he went out into the street and begin to yell and drew attention to him self. I did not ask Nathan about Daniel drinking at 19 and who supplied the booze. Perhaps that was part of the well stock bar that Ford Shelley so graciously provided during that visit.

~About handling Anna Nicole Smith’s money~

If the world were going to hold Howard K. Stern responsible for handling Anna Nicole Smith’s money or writing checks on her account, then the world would have to hold Anna Nicole Smith’s personal assistants responsible as well. Just as Kimmie had handled paying the staff, the bills, running to the ATM, Nathan also did that for Anna Nicole Smith. He seemed amazed that was a big part of Ms. Cosby’s book. Nathan recounted remembering he had brought just a few checks to S. C. for what he thought would be a much shorter vacation then two months, and ran out of checks and had to call a neighbor, Wes, to send more checks. During that trip as with the time Nathan worked for Anna Nicole Smith, he had access to her checks, her debit card, and her ATM number that was just part of being Anna Nicole Smith’s personal assistant. Nathan appeared to be truly amazed that was even a subject to be “argued” over and was unaware that was one of the main claims in some of the books being written, including Ms. Cosby’s book, these days. He shared that when he called Wes to send Nathan more checks, he also got a detailed email from Wes explaining how to care for turtles, Daniel Smith’s current pets.

I asked Nathan about the allegations that Ford Shelley had made that Anna Nicole Smith was “broke”; he was sincerely confused by the question and statement by Ford Shelley. Nathan said he never knew how much money Anna Nicole might have had in the bank at any one time, but certainly no check ever bounced he wrote on her account, and the debit and ATM never rejected him for funds asked while conducting financial transactions for Anna Nicole Smith. After a few moments of thought Nathan said, “Anna Nicole had a very lucrative and ongoing contract with Trim Spa, so he found that a tad surprising when told that Ford Shelley made the statement”.
