It has been passed around in court filings from last June in California, to Florida, to New York that Mark Speer(s), a/k/a Speer, Spear and Spears, seems to have almost as much connection to all of the lawsuits in differing jurisdictions as does Wilma Vicedomine, which leads to the question of why?

In the California dueling banjos of the Birkhead sues Opri sues Birkhead cases there are a few facts they did agree on. The main one being that a disagreement over money given to Opri on or about March 2, 2007, which ended up in her client trust fund, caused a disagreement on March 13 following a hearing in California.

After that the tale gets hazy, Larry Birkhead has always claimed he fired Opri on March 13, Opri has maintained she fired Birkhead on March 15 and released a statement stating that right before a hearing in the Bahamas on the morning of March 16, 2007.

Court Filings by Opri shows she filed on March 20, 2007 to be released as Birkhead’s attorney of record in California and that the court granted that on April 23, 2007.

We have many allegations if you all remember of whether Rita Cosby secured Opri for Birkhead and if Opri then released confidential information to Cosby as a thank you for the high profile client. That is a lot of he said, she said, except that Cosby does say in her book she did introduce them but did not know of any financial arrangements. Greta of Fox, during a L. A. Times article on the woes of Debra Opri did recount a conversation she had with Birkhead in September 2006 in which she said Birkhead told her Opri was going to represent him free. Opri, Cosby and Paul Barresi all agree they met and became friends during the Michael Jackson Criminal Trial in California in 1993.

Then there are all of those people in all of these suits, especially the lawyers of Cosby, Opri, Arthur tend to keep mentioning the Marshall monies Dannielynn might get one day, which seems to be an ongoing current in all of these cases and with all of these people.

In Opri’s filings, and statements made by both Ford Shelley and Ron Rale there was a meeting in Rale’s hotel room between Shelley, Birkhead and Howard K. Stern about funeral arrangements for Anna Nicole Smith as well as attempting to reach agreements on all disputed facts including Horizons and a private DNA test for Larry Birkhead. This meeting occurred the night of the last day of hearings in Florida in February 2007. However, until Cosby’s book was published that is the only meeting anyone has ever talked about other than Opri thanked Stern on the last day of hearings for Stern agreeing to allow Birkhead permission to see Dannielynn during Birkhead’s next visit to the Bahamas.

In Court Filings in California, Opri seems to “believe and states” that Birkhead and Harvey Levin of TMZ.com were “good friends”. Larry Birkhead bragged about that per Opri’s filings, including releasing her bill to TMZ.com, and it does appear that TMZ.com had the exclusive following Birkhead’s ten-hour deposition this week. So perhaps that allegation is true, after all it would appear that possibly TMZ.com might have bought some of Birkhead’s celebrity pictures over the years to me, what do y’all think?

Then comes the surprise why did John O’Quinn’s law firm claimed “privilege” on all third party correspondence that ended up with Wilma Vicedomine to “check out” but not those that ended up with the rest of the firm including Don Clark. Thus, the law firm released the long rambling email of Carolyn Herring, which several thought was hiney einy of Florida only after reading that email it is clear that Ms. Herring lives in Texas in the Dallas Fort Worth area. There is a long rambling correspondence with a Howard Lynn, which is just that. Then there are emails from a Joyce Cornwell of Florida that is interesting, as well as a nurse from Denton Texas offering her service “pro bono” to Virgie Arthur. Many of you have pointed out the interesting email from someone claiming to be with the Montel Williams show, which is interesting only in that Cosby ended up on that show with Don Clark and others selling her book in the fall of 2007.

There is a fan email from Marilyn Williamson of Fenandina Beach Florida, dated March 28, 2007. Ms. Williamson is proud to say she figured out John O’Quinn’s strategy in getting Howard K. Stern to file a slander suit against O’Quinn for the “m” word so O’Quinn could get jurisdiction over Stern in Texas, now that is an interesting email since it now appears to have a ring of truth to it.

However, I found three emails of particular interest, one from Virgie Arthur’s Bahamian lawyer, Debra Rose. That email states to Don Clark the following:

“Debra Rose wrote:

Don,
We are aware of the Bahamian connection; add to that the son of Roger Gomez, Roger Gomez, Jr., was recently an associate of the law firm of Lockhart and Munroe, Howard Stern’s attorneys.

DEBRA”

You have to wonder why O’Quinn did not claim attorney-client privilege on that one for Virgie Arthur.

But then there are some interesting letters and two very interesting emails, the letters are to and from Brian Cavanagh in Florida as well as the FBI in Miami asking for a more thorough investigation into Anna Nicole’s death.

The letter to the FBI states in part the following:

Dated April 16, 2007

“[A]n expert, Mr. David Liebman, a two time president of the National Association of Document Examiners, says the signature appears to be a forgery is also enclosed. Additionally I [Clark] have enclosed a copy of a magazine article that identifies the expert who says he believes the signature of the Will is a forgery.

Based on the investigation conducted by this law firm, the media and private citizens, we strongly believe that Anna’s death was anything but an accidental overdose. We believe that there should be a thorough investigation into Ms. Smith’s death, which would not be complete without including the circumstance surrounding the death of her son, Daniel smith, who died in the Bahamas on September 10, 2006 under almost identical circumstances…

Don Clark then names both DEA agents and telephone numbers in California that are conducting an investigation, Lisa Troncoso and Alma Tongson, as well as Jon Genens an “investigator” for the State of California Medical Board, are investigating the methods of procuring prescription drugs”.

Clark thanks SSA Patrick G. Brodsky, for taking the time and meeting with him [Clark] on “April 11, 2007 to discuss what I [Clark] believe to be severe mis-steps and incomplete investigations conducted by the Seminole Police Department”, (OUCH!), “surrounding the death of Anna Nicole Smith. I am available to provide you with any assistance I can to ensure justice is done as it relates to Ms. Smith’s death and the death of her son Daniel. I can be contacted at any time at the below numbers…”

Don Clark sends a CC to Valerie Parlave, Assistant Special Agent In charge, FBI, Miami Division.

Then we have the letter dated August 2, 2007 from Brian T. Cavanagh to Don Clark that states in part:

“August 2, 2007

From Brian T. Cavanagh

“…letter dated July 23, 2007, and our follow-up telephone conversation this week with a “representative of your firm”.”

No date but in response to the August 2, 2007 letter Don Clark makes some interesting statements.

Don Clark says in part “…However, I and others in the law firm do believe that the investigations was not conducted in sufficient depth to determine actual motives and more detailed actions of the individuals surrounding Ms. Smith from prior to her travels between the Bahamas and the Hard Rock Hotel on the Seminole Reservation. I [Clark] believe that a more detailed look into individuals associated with Ms. Smith and the actions of each of the individuals prior to her clinical time of death will produce different results.

…Frankly sir, we don’t question the coroner’s conclusion that Ms. Smith died of an overdose of various drugs, but we do question that her death was accidental. We find it extremely unbelievable that a person in Ms. Smith’s mental and physical condition, which has been established by witnesses and according to Howard Stern, was never left alone, could have the quantity of drugs found in her body as a result of ingestion or by using a syringe herself.

Below, is a partial list of individuals and what information they should provide. Some of the witnesses may require subpoenas. However, I believe their information is key to developing the whole truth surrounding Ms. Smith’s death.

Witness number 1 is Mark Speer.

Now in August of 2007 we seem to have a different story from Tas including “information regarding computers and cell phone activities”, as well as Moe, [which goes to Moe Moe tell us it ain't so did you sell out prior to Cosby's book], Dr. Khris and the Bahamian nannies…”

Don Clark goes on to say he is, “now prepared to meet with you and your staff for the purpose of providing you with additional information, names of potential witnesses and some pertinent documents, which I believe will provide sufficient probably cause to re-open the investigation into the death of Anna Nicole Smith.”

My question is if Mark Speer was so crucial to the investigation into the death of Anna Nicole Smith why throw Mark under the bus now in July 2008?

We have Mark Speer, connected to all things California, Florida, the Bahamas, and New York as a source for Cosby’s book and now when it appears he is not needed tossed under the bus to fend for himself. You ask why we know this happened to Mark? I suggest you pull the 2 emails from Mark Wilson dated March 20, 2007, the date that Opri filed to be removed as Birkhead’s lawyer in California, very interesting timing. Both emails from “Mark Wilson” are desperate to reach John O’Quinn to tell him he worked free with Opri and Birkhead and that he has important information for O’Quinn about a “SECRET MEETING”. In the second email dated the same day the “SECRET MEETING” is added as occurring at “HORIZONS” and that Dannielynn might be in danger and what he is willing to do and for free… WOW so many working free here. However, it is that secret meeting at Horizons, which found its way into Cosby’s book. Not to mention at her New York book signing party there was Mark Speer with Don Clark, John O’Quinn and Virgie Arthur all big smiles for the photo ops.

What is interesting is Mark Wilson also goes by Mark Speer, a/k/a Mark Wilson Speer etc., and that Mr. Wilson/Speer has been a member of Rose Speaks.com from almost the beginning or Rose Speaks.com. Even after we were hacked into in November and December 2007, Mr. Speer joined quietly again on January 22, 2008 under the name of Marcus, Ooooooopppppppppss we need to add that name to the many names of Mark Speer(s). On another interesting note, it appears we had or have a pending member that is actually Wilma. These things make you all snuggly to know these people want to be close to us including trying to join our new forums, doesn’t it?

Therefore, with this article the main site member list is NOW CLOSED to all except admins. That said we welcome both Mark and Wilma. Although I must say I would have more respect if you had joined with your “real name” like John Nazarian did, just my opinion. Rita Cosby has filed her “Disclosure 26 witness list” but NOT in the New York Federal Court where she has been able to get the court to agree to a gag order on almost anything Hachette Books and she feels is going to expose her to embarrassment or public ridicule. The court did issue a new “Consent Amended HIGHLY Confidential Order” as the lawsuit goes forward and while asking some witnesses to, now after the fact of the book, give Rita Cosby and Hachette Books very sensitive and personal information as the objection filed in California by Larry Birkhead’s lawyer, Michael Trope shows. The Order also allows Howard K. Stern to play by the same rules. Again, I would add it would have been nice if Cosby had tried to vet her sources before the book instead of after the book, in what now appears allegedly as an attempt of saving her Azz so to say.

We had to dig to come up with the papers in California but come up with them we did, as well as a subpoena served on CNN in Atlanta Georgia by Howard K. Stern. Yes, we have to prowl through the national databases occasionally but as with these papers we found filed in California it is well worth it.

Now what does the witness list tell us about Rita Cosby’s defense? First, we noticed she has many of the same witnesses as Howard K. Stern. However, Cosby now tells us that Bruce Littlefield of New York, alleged friend of Cosby’s good pal; James Edstrom was her “ghost writer”. James Edstrom, whom by the way is NOT on the witness list, I wonder why when he brags about being Cosby’s official photographer for years. Perhaps he will be added to the gang of Cosby’s defenders, as the trial gets closer, isn’t that what good friends are for? Perhaps James Edstrom was never a long time good friend and like so many others in this tragic tale, just hung onto the coat tails of Cosby for a bit to get his own publicity. Any of you know how long Edstrom has been Cosby’s “good buddy”? I continue to say this book read so bad that you have to wonder who wrote it and how quickly, you would think an “award winning journalist” would have taken some writing classes to get her degree. Who is Bruce Littlefield anyway, did he do some garage sale shopping books?

Back to the witness list and who are on it and who is NOT on it which can be, I predict very telling about this blond ambitious “who dunnit” novel passed as fact to readers, in my opinion. We now know that many of the allegations of sure fire, yeppers we know it, stand behind it 120% no 200% is not quite there, it now appears.

Looking at the witness list we see that “grouping of people” we have suspected will tie this up with a Los Angeles, Houston, Florida and into New York of people with similar interests and agendas, in my opinion. After you read it be sure and give us your opinion on this “grouping of people” and if you think they were “reliable” sources for Cosby’s ambitious book. You can do that here on the blog or on the new forums, named “Stern Vs Rita Cosby, Hachette Books, et al”.

Let’s start with the Texas connection: We have some that both Rita Cosby and Howard K Stern listed including, Virgie Arthur, Don Clark a private investigator for the O’Quinn law firm and the biggest surprise, per Cosby list, once again Wilma Vicedomine listed as a PRIVATE INVESTIGATOR. She is listed on Stern’s list as just a “witness”, not as a private investigator as she ranks on Cosby’s list. So all of you out there that said, she is not important and never passed herself off as a private investigator when we interviewed Pol’ Atteu and Patrik Simpson, they seem to be vindicated here. Why might you ask, simply because Cosby and Hachette both have listed Wilma as just that, a private investigator? I did not know Wilma had a Texas PI license, they are hard to come by. However, per Cosby and Hachette’ list we now know that in fact she claims to be just that, a private investigator; however as the O’Quinn law firm continued to state in December 2007 only for the cases of Virgie Arthur. Can one now get a P.I. license in Texas by the mere fact of knowing a “real” P. I.? Of course, she could be a “P. I.” in training “studying under” Don Clark. I bet some of you can check into the requirements in Texas to claim that special title and get back with us on when Vice accomplished this feat. However, it does appear Wilma is in fact a Private Investigator if Cosby is to be believed.

Then we have a surprise witness on Cosby’s and Hachette’s list, John O’Quinn, was he a source or did he only loan Cosby Wilma and Clark as sources? Is Cosby going to hang these Texas people out to dry so to say if it comes down to “outing” them as prime sources for her book? Did John O’Quinn ever meet Anna Nicole Smith or Daniel Smith? What could he have been a source for in Cosby’s book, other than then what he now claims? If you believe Rita’s past now cancelled show, just like Greta’s On the Record, you have to know that is not real news, and no one believes what is on those shows, called “infotainment. Wonder if he told Cosby that no one watching her now cancelled show on MSNBC would ever accept that as anything but “infotainment”. O’Quinn has gone on to continue to say that Greta and Cosby should never be believed, that has to make both women feel warm, snuggly and loved, NOT. If you doubt that about John O’Quinn’s opinion of Cosby just read the latest filings in the federal court in Florida. None of Anna Nicole Smith’s other family members or friends are listed on Cosby’s list, although some are listed on Howard K. Stern’s list filed publicly with the New York court back in November 2007. Which by the way is when Cosby filed this list, she just chose not to make it public, must have been one of those “confidential documents”.

Then let’s swing out to California, and we have Mark Speer (only now we “think” his name is Spears, or Speers, or Spear), he was “the security person”, working for Debra Opri, the long time good friend of Rita Cosby. Then as we peruse the list we see, some more interesting people on Cosby’s list, some that did and some that didn’t make it on Stern’s list. Cosby and Stern both agree that Mark and Jackie Hatten as well as Jack Harding are all important to this case. I wonder what Jackie Hatten said in her deposition and watching her in court during the trial should be great entertainment. We have all now had a good look at jailhouse Mark Hatten; did Cosby ever look into who this guy really was before interviewing him via phone in prison for her book? You would think that “award winning journalism” might have caused her to stop for a second or two to determine his “believability scale”.

Now getting back to the ever changing tales of Jack Harding the P. I. who did talk to Daniel Smith but only briefly met him for coffee at Starbucks with Ray Martino; Jack Haring whom as the weeks following Anna Nicole’s death “story” grew and evolved kind of like Pinocchio’s nose. Jack Harding, remember him, the P. I., whom we were able to debunk on this site, using his multitude of ever changing interviews. Jack went from saying there was “one brief” meeting to having “several meetings”, from being told Daniel Smith had a previous prescription problem to saying that Don Clark had contacted him and offered to pay his expenses to the Bahamas for the Inquest. Which brings up the question, why didn’t someone as important as Jack Harding not make it on the Bahamas officials “main” people who needed to testify list, but did make it on Don Clark’s list? Jack Harding ended up, it appears, being a major source of information for Cosby’s book, did she not pick up that this guy’s story kept changing? She based almost a whole chapter on what Jack Harding had to say, including having to save John Nazarian from being treed, ah I mean fenced by Harding’s dogs.

Both Cosby and Stern continue to agree in California that Ray Martino is important; Larry Birkhead whose lawyer is trying to reign in the broad reaching subpoena with Cosby and Hachette’s lawyers to see if the new “Consent Amended Order” is enough for Cosby to be able to go through all things concerning Larry Birkhead. If I had the money to make a bet, I bet that “fishing expedition” into Birkhead’s life will be severely limited by the federal court in California if Birkhead and Cosby’s lawyers cannot reach an agreement. I might add here that Cosby and Hachette are “beefing” up their list of Pro Hac Vice lawyers to appear if a court hearing is needed in California.

Stern and Cosby both have Anna Nicole’s ex-assistant, Kim Walther on this list; as well as Ron Rale, Anna’s lawyer and ex-law partner of Howard K. Stern and still friends with Howard K. Stern. On Cosby’s list he is just listed as a friend to Howard K. Stern. Is Ron Rale the attorney close to Stern and Birkhead that Rita said in interviews that she had several conversations with before and during her writing of the book? Everyone in all lawsuits, in all states wants the ET employees, especially Bonnie Tiegel and Mark Steines; it appears they are listed in this lawsuit as well as the Houston Texas federal suit and the Florida federal suit. Am I the only one here seeing overlapping players in all three federal suits?

Both lists have Dr. Kapor and Dr. Khris listed. However, with Cosby bragging about how her book got all of the investigations kicked back into high gear, Florida and the Inquest in particular, I wonder if she can get either doctor to appear. I know we continue to lose our Constitutional Rights, but last I heard if these doctors are still being investigated by anyone then I doubt Cosby is going to get any “good and spicy” testimony from them to back up her and Littlefield’s books claims.

Now we have some interesting developments in all of this: First Pol’ Atteu and Patrik Simpson, they are listed on Stern’s witness list but NOT on Cosby’s witness list. However, we might note that making a full disclosure to us for their deposition that stated they had dinner with Cosby, her lawyer and her lawyer’s assistant in New York in mid-March and then received a subpoena in April by Cosby’s people. Remember that Pol’ and Patrik swears to us in their “full disclosure” that they only talked about raising children, and Pol’ and Patrik were “curious” about Rita so decided to take her and her lawyer up on an offer for dinner. Second, during our interview with Nathan Collins, he said up front that Hachette’s private investigators had interviewed him; he is on Stern’s list as possibly having information about Cosby’s book but not on Cosby’s list.

Then we have two surprises on Cosby’s list, John Nazarian, again why didn’t she talk to him while writing her book she put his email addy in the book so we all could email Mr. Nazarian? By the way, thanks Rita for doing that, after your book came out we emailed him and he ended up writing about the Anthony Pellicano trial for us. However, I have to wonder how many idiots emailed him thanks to you putting his email address in your book. Bottom line is that Cosby really could have contacted him if she had wanted. He would not have talked to you about any clients, like Birkhead and Stern, but I bet he could have talked to you about being treed (ah fenced) by Harding’s dogs and then saved by Harding himself. However, if Cosby had done that homework about vetting her sources that “intimidation chapter” about Mr. Nazarian would have probably had to end up on the editor’s floor.

Drum roll here, we then have Debra Opri listed as a witness. Am I the only one seeing a pattern of lawyers or ex-lawyers as key players end up on Cosby’s list of people who can vouch for her “who dunnit” book? Can Opri discuss an ex-client like Birkhead? I mean she did that June 6, 2007 filing that became almost the entire bases for chapter 12 of Cosby’s book. It is just a “minor fact” that the June 6, 2007 filing by Opri had been stricken by the California Court before the book was published, perhaps she can testify as to why she filed that in the first place. I am willing to bet that little filing has cost Ms. Opri some television appearances, some clients, but she did get a new Hollyweird term named after her, the “I’ve been Opried”.

The South Carolina, Florida and the Bahamas list of people are also overlapping in the lawsuits. However, Cosby gives us two surprises here, it appears we now know the name of the boat handyman she based so much of her book on, Todd Smith. The other person that seems to be very absent from Cosby’s list is the “male employee confidante” from the Bahamas that so much of Cosby’s book about Stern mistreatment of Anna Nicole was based on. Which brings up my next question, is it cool to put a character who is perhaps fictitious into a “non-fiction book” even though it reads like a “who dunnit” novel? Perhaps L. Lin Wood and Howard K. Stern were right in their interviews about saying this guy never existed.

I suggest you pull Stern’s witness list and the Cosby and Hachette witness lists and compare them side by side. For me it was all of the same people gathering in all of the different jurisdictions from sea to sea and to foreign countries. It seems to be a close-knit circle of “friends-enemies”, and a lot of “who dunnit” alleged theorists.

This is the longest chapter in the book so I am going to break it down into two parts because there is just too much to cover in one article. Following this article and part 2 of the debunking of this final chapter of Rita Cosby’s book, we will be adding a couple of articles to sum up what, in my opinion, are glaring inconsistencies throughout each chapter of the book. With that said here is part 1 of 2, we call,”The Blond Ambitious” Rita Cosby debunking the myths chapter 13.

One of my questions in this last chapter of Rita Cosby’s book is who gave Ms. Cosby the cell phone records that this chapter is based on. I asked that because the Seminole Nation has filed a Motion to Quash all Record Subpoenas in the Howard K. Stern vs. John O’Quinn and the associates of the O’Quinn law firm lawsuit, based on being a sovereign nation. So how did Ms. Cosby come into possession of those records? They seem to be “accurate” right down to the minute and length of the calls as well the hotel surveillance tapes, however we will probably never have the question of “who” gave them to Ms. Cosby answered.

There are a few different views I would like to present based on what we have learned in the public records and court filings before and after Ms. Cosby’s book was published in September 2007. With all of this in mind here goes.

“From the night before her death to the night after her death, there were numerous calls and frenetic activity that are now confirmed that raise new questions. The facts I have discovered in my investigation show a broad series of inconsistencies – outright untruths and questionable circumstances –, which add to the mysterious death of Anna Nicole Smith. …..according to official documents and records, court transcripts, eyewitness accounts, and the participants’ own words, here is the chain of events of what definitely [emphasis added in book to the word definitely] happened during the key hours surrounding the death of Broward County Decedent No: 07-0223 Vickie Lynn Marshall.”

Ms. Cosby uses and emphasis “definitely” as an absolute statement and therefore to the reader must be accurate. This is the lead in from Ms. Cosby to name what she claims are all of the calls made to and from cell phones. All of the “calls” made to and from different parts and parties of the hotel staff. The calls made to and from the Seminole Police; the paramedics called; and some parts taken from the scene reports included in the Broward County M. E. records. So where do we start to untangle absolute truths to hypothesis, and once we include the hypothesis, then is Ms. Cosby’s version the absolute truth? Is Ms. Cosby as an award winning journalist and best seller author on the New York Times list, responsible for doing any further investigations before putting her name to this or not?

On February 7 and 8, 2007, Ms. Cosby’s refers to calls made by Howard K. Stern or received by Howard K. Stern on his cell phone. There is an implication this is all from the parties’ cell phone records, but does not really say if it was just cell phone records are perhaps some hotel records that Ms. Cosby came into possession of.

On the afternoon and night of February 7, we have a seven minute call from Dr. Khris Eroshevich to Howard K. Stern at 5:13 PM because “she had left to catch an evening flight to California”. Could this call be as simple as a friend calling to check on Anna Nicole Smith and how she was feeling? Ms. Cosby really does not tell us what her thoughts or sources said about this call. Then we have “at least 5 calls” in the afternoon that Mr. Stern made to “his longtime friend”, Ron Rale, with the last of those calls occurring at 6:38 PM. Ah wasn’t Ron Rale the attorney representing Anna Nicole Smith in the DNA paternity suit in California? If there had been recent court hearings, decisions, filings, you know stuff lawyers do is Ms. Cosby trying to imply clients don’t call their lawyers and lawyers don’t call their clients after normal business hours. That would go to why then is Ms. Cosby having dinner with Pol’ Atteu and Patrik Simpson with her lawyer in March 2008? If calls to Ron Rale are implied, in my opinion, as sinister then what is a dinner? I feel both the calls that day of February 7 and the dinner in March 2008 were innocent or about legal things. Is Ms. Cosby saying none of her friends call to check on her, nor does her lawyer ever call her during the day or evening during Ms. Cosby’s current legal woes?

We then have one call described by Rita Cosby as, “Howard K. Stern’s FINAL call of that day/evening/night at 6:41 PM from Alex Goen to Mr. Stern’s cell phone”. Ms. Cosby does not tell us how long the call lasted but does admit that it was during the litigation of the Trimspa class action suit.

Therefore, to me we have one call from a friend to check on her friend, five calls that day about litigation in California and probably as a friend asking how Anna Nicole Smith was feeling and one call from Alex Goen probably about litigation in the Trimspa lawsuit. So seven phone calls made to and from Howard K. Stern on February 7 establishes that day and evening part of the “frenetic activity”. In case you are like me and had to look up “frenetic” here is the meaning. Frenetic is “excessively agitated; transported with rage or other violent emotion; “frantic with anger and frustration”; “frenetic screams followed …” per wordnet.princeton.edu/perl/webwn on line dictionary.

We have something I found far more interesting, per Ms. Cosby, the Hotel surveillance tape at 11:01 PM shows a Melodie Delancy entered Moe’s room and stayed until 8:03 AM the next morning. Can we all say that Moe probably had a girlfriend? That with breakfast at 9:00 AM with Mrs. Moe, there must have been a hustle to get the girlfriend out before the wife arrived. Ms. Cosby also quotes from the medical examiner report here where Moe “woke up and “checked on Anna Nicole Smith at about 4 AM because he had seen her earlier in the evening watching T. V. but she had gone to her bedroom by 4 AM.”

Between 9:00 AM to about 9:30 AM Moe “checked on Anna and thought he saw her moving, but later was not certain”, and then Moe was off to have breakfast with his wife. Did Moe tell his wife that there had been another woman that had stayed in the suite with Moe the night before? You know wives have a way of just knowing those things, no wonder Tas has always been in a bad mood about that day. Left to baby sit Anna Nicole Smith, a woman by Tas’ own admission she had met once for 30 minutes. Now Tas was going to be stuck with watching over a sick and recuperating Anna Nicole while her husband Moe was out gallivanting around town.

Ms. Cosby takes one minor dig at Howard K. Stern here saying, “Howard was now left alone in the suite with Anna”. Yea and ?? Wasn’t Howard alone in that part of the suite with Anna Nicole Smith the whole night before, from the last phone call at 6:41 PM on February 7?

Then we have detailed records about Howard K. Stern’s cell phone records and calls and again I ask who gave Rita Cosby these records? Ms. Cosby says Mr. Stern “checked his voice mail for messages once between 10:00 and 10:03 AM that last morning of Anna Nicole Smith’s life”.

We skip forward to King Eric calling at 10:42 AM to say he was at the airport with his first mate and Brigitte and that he needed someone to pick them up. Then we have the question would Howard K. Stern go pick them up or would Moe and Tas go pick them up so Howard could stay with a still recovering Anna Nicole. In the end, it was Moe and Tas that cut their breakfast short. Remember Tas telling Greta Van Susteren, On The Record, on Fox last summer, the number of phone calls Moe got while breakfasting with his lovely wife from Howard K. Stern asking if Moe could pick up the arriving guests. In the end, it was “Moe and Tas that went to pick up King Eric and his group between 10:56 and 11:19 AM with Moe and Tas getting back to the hotel with the company at 11:50 AM”. I just have to ask if the Seminole Indians as a sovereign nation did not have to turn over any records for this lawsuit of Howard K. Stern vs. Rita Cosby and Hachette Books, how did Ms. Cosby get both multiple phone records and access to the video tape of the hotel. Alternatively, did she get these second or third hand records from the “private investigators” that we now know work for John O’Quinn?

We then have Ms. Cosby’s book giving us a run down of Howard K. Stern’s cell phone records, 10:45 AM, Howard called Moe while he was still having breakfast with Tas, that would now be an hour and forty-five minute breakfast, at 10:46 and again at 10:49 AM Howard checked his voice mail. At 10:51 AM, Howard called Alex of Trimspa, had to be about one minute or no more than 90 seconds because at 10:53 AM Howard called Ron Rale. Here Ms. Cosby’s gives us a little intrigue to this “who dunnit” by saying “It is perhaps interesting to note it was still early in California, 7:53 AM, where Rale lives”. Well yea, usually attorneys are on their way to court or their office near 8 AM no matter where they live, so for a lawyer wouldn’t this be typical?

At 10:54 AM we have Moe calling Alex of Trimspa so that would have been about 4 minutes after Howard had talked to Alex, could Mr. Goen had asked Howard K. Stern to have Moe call him or perhaps asked why Moe had not called him?

From 10:56 to 11:19 AM, we have “several calls back and forth between Howard, King Eric, and Moe during Moe and Tas’ drive to the airport to pick up King Eric”. Do any of you remember Tas on Greta’s On the Record, talking about Howard calling Moe several times during that breakfast from 9:00 AM until 10:45 AM bugging them about would Moe pick up the guests and what time could Moe leave since the guests were sitting at the airport? Anyone have that transcript for all us to read?

Then we have the sinister part of they all got back to the hotel at 11:50 AM and met Howard K. Stern coming out of the elevator. Ms. Cosby goes on to state that; “According to both Tas and Moe’s statements to private investigators, Howard was acting strange. He was very fidgety; Howard said rather peculiarly that he had to come to the lobby because his cell phone wasn’t working in the room. Then he turned around quickly and headed back up to the room with the newly arrived visitors.”

So we know this part of the book came from the “private investigators” getting statements from Moe and Tas, remember Moe saying that G. Ben Thompson and Ford Shelley had offered him a cool $500k for access to Horizons during a trip where Howard and Anna would not be there, saying it was for a DNA sample? So with all of the money playing merry go round in this sordid tale, was Moe and Tas compensated for their statements by anyone?

The hotel surveillance footage showed that the group of people entered the suite at 11:54 AM, that Anna was “not feeling well and according to his visitors Howard shouted, “Anna, we have guests. Brigitte then said, “Don’t wake her up”.

Ms. Cosby continues about that Howard K. Stern’s phone did not work in the room at 11: 50 AM per “statements made by Moe and Tas to the private investigators” but by 11:59 AM Howard was able to use the phone just fine in the suite. Ms. Cosby goes on to state, “…that Howard then made three phone calls on his cell phone. …The first was calling the hotel liaison – twice—“, so that would be 2 of the three phone calls right? Then Ms. Cosby does not tell us whom Howard called with the third phone call at 12:02 PM, noting the time because that was when the hotel liaison called Howard back and he was on the phone. Howard and the hotel liaison were missing each other by playing telephone tag. Something I will note here that this appeared to also happen during the frantic calls later that day as Howard was driving back to the hotel and making call after call trying to check on the condition of Anna Nicole, after getting the worse call anyone could receive at 1:24 PM that day; which would forever change so many lives.

Ms. Cosby then tells us what a Hotel liaison does and that this one was close to Anna Nicole because of Anna’s other stays at the hotel the last being in January 2007. We then have Ms. Cosby spice this part of the chapter up with, “She was called many times during these critical minutes”. Ms. Cosby does not tell us what was critical at noon though, so we will probably never know why Ms. Cosby felt that those calls were critical, could they have perhaps been just making sure there was rooms available for the guests to check into later in the day for their stay?

At noon, “Howard called boat broker Mark Dekema, the gentleman who had sold Anna the boat the month before. According to both Dekema and the boat handyman, Howard had a 1 PM appointment scheduled and confirmed.” So this is the third call perhaps that Ms. Cosby is referring to in the “three calls” she mentions earlier in this chapter. Ms Cosby tells us that call lasted ten minutes at which time, “Howard immediately announced to his guests that he had to do something between 12 and 1 PM”.

Noting it was noon then, Brigitte on the record remembers; “…he asked me if I could stay, because they were going to the boat. And I said no problem”.

“Moe did not like the idea that of Brigitte staying alone with Anna when she was so sick, so he asked Tas if she would mind hanging back too. Just stay for a little while baby, he asked. Do you mind?”

“Tas unenthusiastically agreed to stay.”

The next part of this chapter will be from 12:14PM to the end of this day. This will be including Ms. Cosby’s excerpts from the M. E. report from the hotel suite, the hospital, and the findings of the autopsy. However, this time we have the same pieces of information that all of the public had access to in order to ask some very important questions of why. Why did Ms. Cosby decide to go down one road of assumptions when in fact there are several unanswered and very important even critical questions, in my opinion, that Ms. Cosby failed to ask and follow through on.

Patrik Simpson and Pol’ Atteu reveal more about their friendship with Anna Nicole Smith as they answer your questions below. Patrik thinks maybe I sent the virus I had through the phone lines, he and Shelby were pretty sick and Pol’ was taking care of them both as Pol’ never seems to catch what is going around. Pol’ is super at multi-tasking going from fashion to cooking for the family. Patrik has been playing catch up this last week and that is the reason behind the answers to your questions taking awhile coming from them, also, they wanted to take their time in the answers to you … our members. Yes, they have read the site and appreciate the support from Rosespeaks.com for the interviews, covering all the lawsuits and the support from YOU our members.

They come across as wonderful parents and they both have a mighty big heart. I’ve really enjoyed getting to know them and being able to be ourselves while chit chatting about all things from Anna Nicole Smith to haircuts to sharing stories and proud moments about our daughters.

Look for them on Extra this week in an exclusive interview with Carlos Diaz. They met Carlos Diaz while in the Bahamas, so it was a very comfortable interview. They will be in the studio with Carlos and at the Pol’ Atteu Boutique showing off some of Pol’s one of a kind dresses’ made for Anna. We only know at this time… the interview on Extra will be on one day this week, during “sweeps week”, when they find out for sure what day…. They will let us know first!

Here are the questions and answers by Pol’ Atteu and Patrik Simpson from our members.

1. Though I knew the why’s of Anna Nicole going to the Bahamas I’m wondering if once there, before Daniel died, if she was happy? She was happy to be away from the tabloids/paps and those that wanted to intrude on her every move? I know she made her living in front of cameras and I think that’s where the idea came to plug the new show. She could still do her thing and make a living and then escape it all. We never saw paps climbing the walls, or sitting in trees trying to get the money shot while she was there. If Daniel Smith hadn’t died, I envision her to finally have found some peace and comfort where she could have raised her daughter. Am I off the mark or just wishful thinking.

Answer: Yes. Before anyone knew Anna was in the Bahamas, she had a little time to get some much needed R & R. The Bahamas was going to be her safe haven. A place where she could “let her hair down” and relax and have her baby without the prying eyes of the paparazzi. She told us before she left we should buy a house next to hers. We had looked at a few properties there. Sadly, her safe haven turned out to be her worst nightmare. If Daniel Smith had never passed away, Anna would have been able to find the peace and solace she so desperately sought.

2. I wonder if Pol’ and Patrik have thought about doing a line of classy dresses for women 12 and up?

Answer: Two things. First, Patrik is the owner of Network International Models & Talent in Beverly Hills. Pol’ is the Couture Designer. Pol’ made many dresses for Anna when she was plus size & when she was thin. He fits women of all shapes and sizes. His specialty has always been high fashion couture, but coming soon will be a contemporary line of clothing. The new casual line will be affordable and mainstream. We are both excited about it’s upcoming debut. Plus both of us are creating a men’s line coming soon. Our daughter Shelby is getting into the design business, too. Shelby and Pol’ are working on a new teen line that they are designing together.

3. Did they see more then friends when it came to Anna & Howard’s relationship?

Answer: Yes. They were more than just friends. The commitment that they had to each other exhibited the true nature of their relationship.

4. How did Daniel Smith feel about Howard K. Stern and what do they think of the PI that said Daniel was scared and concerned about Howard, or was it more like Daniel was worried about Anna’s friends Ford Shelly and G. Ben Thompson?

Answer: Daniel and Howard were like brothers more than a father-son relationship. They hung out together many many times.

5. Did Anna Nicole Smith talk about her childhood with them?

Answer: Yes. Many times. The stories and intimate details that Anna confided in with us about her childhood and her relationships with her mother, brother and step-father are a complete book in itself. We printed the email in our book in which Anna describes her mother as a monster only to show everyone what Anna thought of her mother. Those were NOT our words, but Anna’s.

6. I have a question for Pol’ and Patrik did they know either of the Hattens?

Answer: No. We had not heard of Jackie Hatten until after Daniel died. She came to the Bahamas house while we were there, and Anna told “Big” Moe, Anna’s bodyguard and friend, to tell her to go away. We spoke to Jackie after Anna passed away. Patrik spoke with her on the phone when she reached out to offer her condolences. They have spoken on the phone a few times. I’m sure one day they will meet face to face.

7. I actually have a question for Pol ‘and Patrik. What is their secret to balancing their careers and raising the beautiful daughter they have? It’s hard with working parents as sometimes my own husband is putting in double shifts.

Answer: The key to success is the balance of mutual love and respect we have for one another and our family unit. We maintain an unprecedented commitment to each other. Our daughter is always first no matter what we do. She comes even before us or our businesses. NO matter how busy we all are, we ALWAYS have a night every week that we spend the ENTIRE evening togther. Pol’ is an exceptional Fmother (we explain that in our book) and keeps Shelby pretty well-grounded.

8. First of all, if you don’t mind me asking, why do you spell it ‘Pol’?

Answer: Because of the way it is supposed to be pronounced. My mother had a strong Armenian accent and that’s way she said my name. It’s pronounced POLE not Paul. Out of respect for my deceased mother I honor the way she pronounced my name.

9. What did you think when you saw Ford Shelley trash your $5,000.00 dress?

Answer: I didn’t know that happened. If it did, it doesn’t matter. I know how beautiful my designs are. I put love and devotion into everything I create no matter what their social scale is. If my name is going to be on that dress I make sure it’s the best in fit, design and quality. The key is to make sure my clients walk away from me feeling like a million bucks. Any woman that has worn one of my dresses can tell you from firsthand knowledge what an amazing experience it is to wear a Pol’ Atteu.

10. How did you get involved with that sketchyass publisher in the first place?

Answer: Ms. Gibson came to Pol’s boutique for a dress. Our publicist referred her to us. We are very kind and generous people, and sometimes a little to trusting. She said she had a small publishing company and she really made us believe she cared about the project and would make sure a beautiful tribute book was put together. It was important for us to make sure the book had a certain level of class and elegance to it, and that it would be a “must-have” for all of Anna’s fans. We wanted a book that was easy to read, had some very beautiful pictures and showed the intimate friendship we shared with Anna. When it became CLEAR to us that the “convicted felon” could NOT accomplish this, we terminated our agreement and published the book through Kings Road Publishing.

11. In your book you said that right before Anna died she was cramping with a lot and bleeding- do you think she could have been pregnant?

Answer: We knew Anna had wanted another baby after Dannielynn. If you remember, she kept teasing about that. Anna had wanted to start a new family in the Bahamas. She said she wanted another girl. I don’t know if she could ever had a boy, it never would have been the same without Daniel.

12. Do you think that Anna is proud of Howard now? (For getting her buried next to her son and doing everything he can within his power to keep her baby girl safe)

Answer: Yes. I’m sure Anna is proud of all of us who fought tirelessly to make sure that HER wishes were carried out. Patrik sat right next to Anna Nicole when she picked out the burial plots, and was very CLEAR that there had to be enough plots for them all to be buried together. She was also VERY CLEAR about wanting J. Howard Marshall’s ashes placed in the casket with her. I know that she is looking down on us from heaven, smiling and happy, that we were able to honor what she wanted. Anna was so stubborn when she was alive. We had to make sure HER wishes were followed after she was gone.

13. If you are willing to, explain the effect Anna and Daniel’s Smith death has had on Howard K. Stern.

Answer: Anna’s death was completely devastating for all of us that loved her. I don’t think Howard has ever been the same since she passed away. I know we haven’t. Anna was like this “light” in our lives that always knew how to make us smile. We loved each other with no conditions and no boundaries. As we said in our book, we maybe didn’t always agree with the choices she made, but as her friend we gave her our love and support. It’s never been the same without her. I miss her funny little text messages, her blatant statements and her undeniable charm and appeal she had on us.

14. Do you think that Larry Birkhead feels any guilt towards Anna’s death? (i.e. Debra “Anna and Howard are dying Dannielynn’s hair” Opri)

Answer: We never knew of Anna dying the baby’s hair?!? I can only say that people don’t change. If there was an agenda before Anna died, I’m sure there is an agenda now. When Anna was alive, she protected her children. Any parent does.

15. Years ago, Hollywood was known for its glamour. The red carpet was a place for the stars to shine and be portrayed as royalty. Now it seems that tabloids have tainted that image. The Oscars and Globes ratings have fallen. Is it due to lack of interest or are the stars no longer on a pedestal as they once were? The human frailties that everyone has are now splashed across websites and magazines for fodder to snark over. Are people more interested in the train wreck aspect than the fan aspect? Has it changed the atmosphere in Hollywood from years gone past?

Answer: We don’t think anything has changed. Maybe the year, maybe the face..but, it’s always the same. Let’s face it. People reading the magazines and clicking on those celeb websites don’t want to read about something good. They want DIRT. Why do you think these magazines sell like hotcakes? Were not sure the ratings have fallen? It’s more like there is MORE competition. It used to be just the National Enquirer and The Star, now you have over 10 solid rag-mags published every week. But, it’s no different from day one in Hollywood. We have learned Hollywood loves to build you up, only so they can tear you down, and then build you back up again. That’s why it is so true that ONLY the STRONG survive this business. But, for us, it’s something we love to do. Pol’ takes great pleasure in making a woman feel her utmost sexy in one of his gowns. Patrik gets a personal high from taking a model and grooming and molding them, and then putting them in a magazine. We don’t think we could do anything else.

16. You mention a talent agency. You’re not like Donny Bonaduce? are you? Looking for the next child star? Does Shelby want to be in the biz?

Answer: Patrik has the model and talent agency, Network International Models & Talent. http:www.network-models.com. The agency is licensed and bonded in the state of California and has been open for over 16 years. It’s not an easy industry to be in, let alone for over 16 years. Network International Models & Talent is ALWAYS looking for its next star, but I think the media misrepresents a lot of what goes on in this industry. It all boils down to the parents. If the parents of a kid in the entertainment industry were bad parents before their child starting doing commercials, they are going to be bad parents afterwards. Plain and simple. Shelby is a model and an actress. She recently booked her first cover. You can see her on the cover of Zodi-Habit magazine. http://www.zodihabit.com She also just competed in New York City in the MAAI’s (Modeling Association of America International’s annual modeling convention, and won a Summer scholarship to The New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts. We are very proud of her. She sings, she dances, acts and models. It was a natural thing that Shelby would be in this business because she has been around it all her life. She was on the Anna Nicole E Special “Anna Goes To Camp” and she’s starring in “Designer Family” with us. However, we are STRICT parents. There are auditions we have NOT let her attend because she didn’t have her homework done. That’s the key to making sure your child grows up healthy and happy in this industry…KEEP THEM GROUNDED and well adjusted. We would have supported Shelby in any career choice she wanted. That’s what good parents do.

I HAVE TWO QUESTIONS——-

17. What was Anna’s relationship with DR E, where they good friends?

Answer: She loved Anna and Anna adored her. She, along with us helped take care of Dannielynn, and gave unconditional support and friendship to Anna. All these bloggers that want to blame Dr. Khris for Anna’s death don’t know the real story. If Khris Erosovich could trade places with Anna, she would, in a heartbeat. We love Khris and will always support her. She was Anna’s friend. Again, as we have stated many, many times a true friend will love and support you no matter what. That’s what Khris did.

18. Was the doctor there with Anna a lot of the time, did Anna ever go on dining alone with Howard?

Answer: We were all there with Anna & Howard. Khris, along with us made many frequent trips to the Bahamas. But, there were many times that none of us was there and it was just Anna & Howard. One of Anna’s favorite places to go with Howard was the “Poopdeck”. It’s in the central part of town, and quite well-known.

19. The gowns that were designed for Anna Nicole Smith are beautiful. Is there anything in place to protect them in the future so that they are not damaged? A exhibition of these beautiful dresses would be lovely. When everything settles down of course. I think that Anna is firmly in the history books and the dresses you designed are a part of her public life.

Answer: Someday they will be unveiled and showcased. Right now we are considering many options to make that possible. Anna is a part of history and will always be an ICON of our time. We may hold an auction for charity, or possibly open a museum. We want to make it possible for Anna’s fans to see all the beautiful gowns Pol’ created for her.

20. What did Anna and Howard say to each other in their vows??

Answer: The universal language of their love and commitment to each other was revealed in the look of their eyes staring into each others.

21. Could you elaborate about why Ford Shelley and crew couldn’t be stopped from taking things from Horizons?

Answer: That’s one of the hardest things Pol’ ever had to do: stand there and watch them pillage Anna’s home. At the time, there was NO establishment of residence in place. Technically, there was no LEGAL way to stop Ford Shelley and crew from doing what they did. While that was going on, an attorney for Howard, Wayne Munroe, was in court to get a court order to get the house back, which would have prevented Ford and crew from doing what they did. Pol’ was outside with the Police waiting, so even if he wanted to do something, he couldn’t. It was the most helpless feeling. And, to make it even worse afterwards and walk in to see what a disheveled mess was left behind. Once those court orders were in place, Pol’ had the locks changed to prevent them from coming back and then immediately went to the Bahamas Police Station to file the theft report.

22. & 23. What was the mood in the house the day the dna test revealed that Howard K. Stern was not Dannielynn biodad? What was the mood in the house when Larry Birkhead left with Dannielynn? How was Howard? (If you don’t want to answer those last two questions cause you don’t feel like it would be appropriate I would understand. I don’t know if it was appropriate from me to even ask them)

Answer: All of us were devastated. Dannielynn was the last real connection to Anna Nicole Smith. When Larry took Dannielynn out of the Bahamas, he had taken her from everything she had ever known. Her safety, security and her home. And, if Anna were alive today that NEVER would have happened.

Because of pending litigation in so many venues even involving us here at Rose Speaks, we had to do a lot of thinking about how to present this interview without Rose Speaks or Pol’ Atteu and Patrik Simpson being pulled further into any litigation. After a lot of discussion, which is why this interview took so long to write, is that, we decided to just do it in the questions covered in our interview and with their answers adding no spin from us, with no interpretation from us.

“A wonderful friend 24 hours a day, she had a spark no matter what was going on or what she was going through, her inner beauty always shined through. Anna had the “IT FACTOR”. Energy would gravitate to her.” These are some of the flattering remarks that Pol’ Atteu and Patrik Simpson shared with me as we were discussing their friend Anna Nicole Smith and reminisced about the last year. You could hear the pride and love for their dear friend in their voice as they spoke.

I started out with a set of questions, much like you’ve seen answered in the previous articles and also below. The first night we talked we bounced around from one subject to another. I never stayed on track with my list of questions. With all three of us talking and getting to know one another it was like I too had known them for a long time, as we both shared stories with each other about having daughters and such.

I think one of the hardest things we talked about was when they found out that Anna Nicole Smith had died in Florida. Their phones started ringing. A camera crew showed up at Shelby’s school. Someone even came into Pol’s boutique and tried to run off with a dress that was made for Anna Nicole and on display in the window, even while CBS was outside filming. It was pandemonium. Both Pol’ and Patrik dropped everything and headed to Florida to be with Howard K. Stern. Pol’ after flying from LA to Miami took off for the Bahamas when they were told that Horizons had been broken into. Patrik, Moe and Dr. Kris stayed in Miami to console and be with Howard.

Pol’ called Theresa Ladimore, “a very nice woman, who had become a friend of Anna’s” as Pol’ described her. Theresa picked him up at the airport. Pol’ felt lost and didn’t know where to start or what to do in order to secure the home of Anna, Howard and Dannielynn. Theresa told Pol’; “I’m so glad you are here because Anna loved you and trusted you.” Theresa was the celebrity liaison for the Bahamas and knew who, what and how to get the house back and was going to help him. She knew Patrik and Pol’ from the times they had stayed in the Bahamas in the past, so she was there to help Anna’s friend Pol’, as a friend to Anna also.

Pol’ told me how horrific it was to drive up to Horizons, finding it locked up and how helpless he felt as he watched for 4 hours outside the back gate while Ford and Gina Shelley, Gaither and Melanie Thompson leaving not once but 2 times with a truck full of belongings from Horizons. Standing at the back gate was Pol’ asking them not to do this, Ford Shelley told Pol’ “He [Ford Shelley] would profit from things inside the house so he could make some money back”. After they were through rummaging the house, the Shelley’s and Thompson’s drove by a couple of times in their limousine.

It was 2 am when he was finally able to go inside after the massacre. It was as if the home had been violated, Pol’ could not believe what he was seeing. Horizon’s had been totally ransacked. In Dannielynn’s room everything was in shambles. Pol’ knew the home from staying there after Daniel Smith passed. It was not the same, this was a disaster. On one trip from LA to the Bahamas they had brought from the Studio City home at the request of Anna Nicole Smith, some pictures from her nightstand and a whole suitcase of sunglasses. He knew exactly where she put all the sunglasses… in the top drawer of a dresser. Pol’ Atteu opened the top drawer, “They were all gone, not one pair left.” There were clothes and fur coats taken from the closet, pictures, paintings so much missing and all he could do at the time was collapse at the foot of the bed, their [Anna Nicole, Howard K. Stern and precious Dannielynn] belongings were stolen… gone! It was a slaughter, ransacked, an assault on their personal things, it was mass destruction through out the home. It was Pol’ that had to pull himself together after seeing all the devastation and file a police report with the authorities.

I asked Pol’ about the infamous refrigerator picture that was in the media and shown on nightly infotainment shows, he says, “That refrigerator picture was so set up. We all used that little refrigerator including Shelby for soft drinks and such. Anna kept Slim Fast in there to mix with cream of wheat. Other than that it was a total set up.”

After Daniel Smith had died, of course Patrik and Pol’ were at Horizons with Anna Nicole. They told me about lying in bed and watching all the “friends” coming on TV to talk about her, Howard and Daniel. She was very hurt by this and they said it was very inappropriate at the time with what Anna was going through. She [Anna] heard Jackie Hatten calling her Ahana, and yelled at the TV, “My name is not fucking Ahana, its Anna”. When I asked them about Jackie Hatten coming to Horizon’s and Anna turning her away, they said that was true. “Tell her to go away”, Anna said. Jackie Hatten wasn’t the only person that was told to go away. Anna called the shots. Matt Lauer, of NBC’s Today Show came to Horizons and got the same treatment as others did. Mr. Lauer left a very nice inspirational book at the front door and Anna Nicole Smith loved it. Pol’ reminisced that he wondered if any one had told Matt Lauer the gift of that book had meant so much to Anna Nicole.

Anna Nicole was not “wealthy” during this time, there were no off shore bank accounts, etc. She had not worked in quite awhile. Anna never thought about tomorrow. Patrik and Pol’ were both shocked by the so called friends that called offering to come to the Bahamas, to comfort her and help out if she would fly them to the Bahamas and rent them a place to stay while there. True friends, dropped everything and never thought about the expense or the inconvenience. True friends bought groceries, ran errands or did what ever was needed as Patrik and Pol’ did.

Anna Nicole really never talked badly about someone behind their back. If you were condescending, turned on her or were just out to use her… well that was it. Patrik and Pol’ feel that they remained close friends because they didn’t want anything from her or need anything. Anna’s innocence made her very trusting but if someone came into her life and tried to take advantage of her they would only last a little while once she knew their true intentions. Like Patrik and Pol said, “Anna called the shots.”

Another time when Patrik was watching the news with Anna Nicole was when Debra Opri first came on bashing Anna. Anna told Patrik, “Damit, I should have hired that fucking bitch first!” Patrik found Debra Opri to be sincere at the funeral of Anna and even handed him a Kleenex [1].

I asked them how they felt when Virgie was shoveling dirt on top of the casket. They said the way they saw it, she had hate in her eyes and despise for her daughter. She was mumbling while doing it and then she stomped over the dirt. They felt it was wrong that even in death she could not get any peace. Patrik and Pol’ told me Anna referred to her mother as her birth mother, and she also called Virgie…a Monster.
