In 2004 in the height of Anna Nicole Smith’s new look and spokeswoman for Trimspa the company had $141 million in sales and showed a $17 million in operating profit alone per the New Jersey Business News article dated October 8. Now Trimspa is defunct and in papers filed in May 2008 with the filing of bankruptcy Alex Goen wrote in a certification to the court that the company experienced a liquidity crises beginning in May 2007, caused directly by the death of Anna Nicole Smith; the face of Trimspa.

On September 25, 2008, per the court docket report, the bankruptcy court converted the chapter 11 filing for reorganization to a Chapter 7 with liquidation of both Trimspa and the parent company of Goen Technology.

An auction of all assets has been set for October 27 at 10:00 AM, just like a town square auction from olden days and something that many are going to see in the future, I predict, with the stock market crash.

Up on the auction block will be all of the office equipment including computers, and furniture, pallet racking, packaging material, forklifts, general warehouse equipment, a 2007 Chevrolet pick-up, 2 tag along van trailers [one with a painting of Anna Nicole Smith on the side of it], 2 motorcycles, and an Indy-Style race car.

However, the inventory of Trimspa supplements is not up for sale and at this point the trustee in charge of the auction is not sure the aluminum cans that contain the supplement is worth salvaging for sale.

Although Goen Technologies, [Trimspa], filed plans in June to emerge from bankruptcy that included $500,000 to pay unsecured creditors some of the millions they are owed, the proposal never took hold. When the trustee filed to liquidate Trimspa the trustee noted that Goen had not filed monthly operating reports causing Goen attorneys to tell the court that Trimspa and Goen Technologies were not able to fund its reorganization.

As many of us remember reading, Goen Technologies agreed to pay $1.5 million in January 2007 to settle allegations of false and misleading advertising brought by the Federal Trade Commission. In addition, in 2005, the business and Alex Goen paid $750,000 to settle a lawsuit brought by state officials charging they used hypnosis seminars to hawk weight-loss products per the October 8 article.

Thus like a candle in the wind, the once bright light of Trimspa has been blown out, much as the accidental death of Anna Nicole Smith. Her death is still affecting people from Larry Birkhead and her daughter Dannielynn to businesses she was the spokeswoman for like Trimspa.

Trimspa has filed a Disclosure Statement in New Jersey Bankruptcy stating that Trimspa had to file bankruptcy in part because of needing to distance themselves from the Media Frenzy that occurred after the death of their spokesperson, Anna Nicole Smith.

Trimspa has filed a “potential settlement of all bills owed for those owed the most to vote on. In millions owed to just FOX TV, as well as others, Trimspa appears to be offering pennies on the dollar owed. This agreement has to be voted on by the main creditors before being heard before the court. Trimspa also feels like it can redo itself, its image, and be successful again in the next 36 – 48 months with this reorganization and paying the creditors with pennies on the dollars literally.

Trimspa continues its spiral into the Chapter 11 Bankruptcy in New Jersey, as employees are laid off and other Goen Industries companies are dissolved in their entirety during these bankruptcy proceedings.

The hearing today, June 16, at 10 AM in the Court in New York. The hearing will include a Hearing on Motions in Trimspa Bankruptcy, including Reject Certain Expired Leases and Executory Contracts and Implementing Procedures for Returning Equipment and Establishing a Claims Rejection Bar Date. Application For Retention of Professional Lowenstein Sandler; Application For Retention of Professional Vested Capital, Inc. as Investment Banker and Financial Advisor to the Debtors; Debtors’ Motion for an Administrative Order Establishing Certain Procedures For Allowance of Interim Compensation And Reimbursement Of Expenses Of Professionals Retained By Order of this Court Reimbursement Of Expenses Incurred By Committee Members.

Today’s hearing is the first of three hearings over the next several weeks as Trimspa continues to struggle without the presence of Anna Nicole Smith.

We intend to bring you the case of the bankruptcy as they attempt to reorganize under the chapter 11 plagues Trimspa.

This is an example, in my opinion, about the powerful endorsement that Anna Nicole Smith could bring to anything she worked on behalf of, from Trimspa to charities she supported.

On May 21, Goen Industries Inc., parent company of Trimspa as well as Trimspa filed a chapter 11 bankruptcy in the New Jersey federal bankruptcy court.

Without Anna Nicole Smith, it appears there is no Trimspa, proof it would appear that her endorsement and representing the product launched TrimSpa and her death created another effect that it appears it brought Trimspa down.

The first 19 filings in the bankruptcy are up for you to download, I noticed in the unsecured creditors list is Fox for over $3 million dollars. Remember all documents are opened to ALL not just registered members.
