No, I do not believe it will be a ‘Death by 1,000 cuts’, as O’Quinn and his firm’s many cases have came to the public’s knowledge as of late…
It seems they do not pay their legal help, their clients appear to not get what they are intitled to, and they stall as long as they can in Court;which costs the opposing side an enormous amount!
I have a feeling that everyone knows now how they play their game! I bet the Judge will not allow this crap, everyone sees it and is tired of it!

Beverly with all the bad publicity O’Quinn is getting these days I would think the Texas courts will see him for what he truly is, a shady lawyer. O’Quinn not only stole money from his breast implant clients but also possibly did the same with his Fen-Phen clients along with making unethical accusation on national television. I think the judges are keeping a close eye on this man. H’m maybe Joe Jamail can bring O’Quinn down once again with the Fen-Phen clients as he did for the breast implant clients, now wouldn’t that be something?

Anyone know how a corporate insurance policy works? If by chance, O’Q is denied his appeal, and this goes further to trial or settlement, is O’Q obligated to try every avenue? Would an insurance company say something like you didn’t appeal that motion, so your on your own buddy? Just thinking..

From reading round the net, on some of O’Q cases, his responses are similar in his motions. ‘Reasonable person’ is a favorite phrase. Wonder why he threw a Ms. Grider under the bus? Took her case and then missed deadlines to appeal, according to her.

Either way, he is a polarizing figure. You either love him or hate him. He surely hasn’t acheived what he’s accomplished by being ‘Mr. Nice Guy’. Imagine there’s a few enemies along the way. Wonder who will sell their soul for a chance to take the big man down.?

NCUser you would think, as many times as O’Quinn’s appeals have been denied he would not even attempt. Maybe he thought his appeals regarding Virgie Arthur were denied due to being a client. He may have thought if he tried to appeal on behalf of himself, a judge would grant it to him due to he is a lawyer involved in a suit. Just a silly thought, but to me he seems arrogant enough to think along those lines.

I can only add that this is not a surprise that he would appeal the previous order. He wants this in Texas where he probably figures he owns the courts. I hope the higher court in FL agrees with the lower court decision and deny a change of venue. (I hope I got the right :))

That is interesting question regarding corporate insurances… If i recall correctly one o oquinns filings has the oquinn law insurance limitations and the # was rather large. Also now that some of ritas depo was sealed in fla as well i cant c a judge letting oquinn off the hook. A jury would reward large amounts IMO for all the multiple accusations and oquinn isnt going to want to go that route. This appel is perhaps oquinn and the insurance companies last route before offering a settlement? We shall c. I believe a jury would award the skies the limit for appropriate punishment of attys oversteppng the line o level the playing field as oquinn stated..

not to mention everything and everyone seeking the limelight or a piece of the pie had to resort to illegal means to try to obtain. Not a one of them had truth on their side!

Art is a good guy, but he will not be writing articles on Howard anytime soon as the trail is not until May of next year. I want to spend my time and energy on a site with and all the latest updates and information on the cases and Rose’s is the best. We also have the best people here too. I don’t have to worry about the so called Howard supporters who mingle with the dark side. I’m a diehard Howard Supporter and proud of it and I don’t believe in sleeping with the enemy.

I have not read the policy he turned over in discovery that is now an exhibit so what is your take on it Bewildered?

Something about that statement bothers me. Sounds like the “dark side” talking. From what I’ve seen about these suits they all seem to be very deserving. He has apparently cheated his clients out of money. (Phen fen) He called a man a murder on national television and has engaged with others to smear him.

Rose, what was that case we talked about that had the doctor connection? He was abomished by the courts in that case.

I don’t know about his insurance policy. I started to read it but got bored with it very quickly. I imagine that it has a “lifetime” policy limit. When this goes to trial (please don’t settle HKS. let all the misdeeds come out) whatever HKS is awarded, I’m pretty sure his policy will cut off at a certain point and he will be responsible for the rest of it. Like with a homeowners policy or car policy.

That’s where I found the case of Grider Bfly. Sounds like she didn’t like the outcome of the trial and went after O’Q and company for not filing an appeal in time.

Only to be brought to suit by those he was representing. Look at April 8-9 posting. He promised them big, they didn’t get what they wanted, sued him in return. Interesting comment about the image buffering.

The reason I wondered about the insurance is someone on Topix, I think it was, commented that O’Q would not have to sell any of his cars if he had to pay. His insurance company would handle it. I did see the big price tag for that policy too Bfly and think I commented on it at the time.

I look at comments or clues or hints and go off on a tangent. One link leads to another and before you know it , I’m lost And as far as taking the big man down, that was just a phrase. I know nothing about Jamail? Never searched about him. I’m thinking Rita will be the one that upsets the apple cart if it ever goes to trial.
