Several months ago I was made aware of a television story that was being produced for 48 HOURS on CBS. A story that involved a few people that I knew. The piece finally made it to the air on February 19 and was titled “48 Hours Mystery: Playing with Fire.” How often do I know the players in major news stories happening around the world? Way more often than I would like to admit.

“Playing with Fire” was produced by Greg Fisher and two others, Chris and Ira. Greg Fisher and I have had lunch and breakfast and lunch again, I believe, in reference to this story as well as another project. …Here was one of my very good friends, Detective William Cox, a very good acquaintance that I have a great deal of respect for, Andrew Blankstein of the Los Angeles Times, and of course Michele Braun, formerly of “Nici’s Girls.” I met Ms. Braun during the good ol’ days and met with her during what was perhaps one of the worst times in her life.

Note: Michele [Braun] was charged in 2009 by the feds with Money Laundering and Prostitution. What made this all the more interesting was that she paid taxes all those years and still got bagged. It makes one wonder how she came to the attention of the government. An even better question: has the cloud totally moved on? Or are there still some thunderstorms brewing? Sometimes, when you escape a nuclear warhead with your hair intact, you may want to go and play dead for several years. Michele looked great and you could tell she was excited to be telling “her” story. Michele always has a purpose in everything she does. And if a book ever comes out, I am buying a copy. Seeing Ms. Braun blabbing away, I was reminded of the story of the bull sleeping and leaving it alone, let it sleep.

Back to the best parts of the show, can you imagine how bad Sandy Bentley must have felt for this story to air for the entire world to see and hear? Hell, she makes Paris Hilton look like a candidate for sainthood. One thought I had watching Sandy Bentley drive away in her Chevrolet in what looked like a part of the San Fernando Valley, the worm has turned, well at least a little. Hell even her boyfriend Michael Tardio was found shot to death and burning in a Mercedes, how Hollywood is that? Sandy Bentley’s unwillingness to cooperate with the cops was also interesting and very Hollywood, “protect your own ass no matter who is smoldering in the ruins.” When you run around with the rich and famous you learn that lesson real quick, you are disposable…

…Re: Ms. Linda Kim, did anyone else out there feel funny about watching and listening to this one? “International arms dealer” who almost toppled the entire South Korean government. And she did one of the best “dumb and dumber” routines I have ever seen in years. Ms. Kim mentions “very special jewelry,“ but she states she sent Tardio on his way. However, she takes another meeting with Tardio, hours before his murder…”bad energy“ in Kim’s words. Just watch that segment with Ms. Kim and listen closely! Enough about her, I am not buying her or her story

Having worked and looked into cases all over the world and most recently a murder case in Paris, France there is one person I would not want…

…If Detective Bill Cox had not retired, this case would have been solved and from what I am hearing that dam worm is turning again. And not just for the individual(s) who shot and killed Michael Tardio and Christopher Monson…

One person involved in all this lunacy that I sorta liked was Mark Yagalla, he came across as a guy just trying to…

Yagalla paid $50,000 a night to bang a pretty woman… Another great quote was when Ms. Braun was asked about the “love” factor between Mark Yagalla and Sandy “I smell something burning” Bentley. …However, if Michael had never met Sandy Bentley he would more likely be alive today as would his best friend, Christopher Monson…

…One thing that caught my attention was that there were no “officials” on this show or for that matter on the record. Folks, it is that silence that I am telling you is not good for a few people involved in this story. Time is always on the side of the good guys.

I know better than most how frustrating this has to be to sit and wait for the system to work. The killing of people in Los Angeles, it would seem, is a lot easier than you would think. We are watching the system at work in the case of Mike Yepremyan who was murdered with five witnesses and the cops cannot seem to put a lid on it, or in the case of Lauren Ann Freeman and the guy who hit her with his Bentley and left her to die on Sunset Blvd…Bentleys can be deadly.

The stock market stopped for a tad over thirteen (13) minutes as did the world compliments of the U. S. 24/7 as I love to describe them, “Infotainment News” and on Friday even what most of us consider “Real News”; with thousands of people watching just to hang on every word of Tiger Woods on Friday, February 19, 2010. One that had been advertised, and yes I do mean advertised, as in the advertising community paid a lot of money for plugs a head of this speech and for spots after this speech. It is no accident that Nike bought the advertising spot directly after the speech with “The Jungle Song” being played.

I was looking through CNN and MSNBC on Friday morning to just get my daily dose of what is going on in the world. I had missed the “original” thirteen minutes agonizing speech by Tiger Woods, however I did NOT miss the hour by hour analysis of body language experts, twelve steps experts in fact I half expected Woods to apologize to the Hollywood Madam whose newest claim to fame is getting trash shows and rags to continue to quote her about Tiger Woods and ALL of the money she has made. Have her “handlers” a/k/a federal prosecutors and probation officers told her that for the six months while writing her tell all book and doing a tad of house arrest with that cute little ankle bracelet that she might want to keep a LOW profile; but then my take is that would be impossible for her.

However, I regress, what do I know about Tiger Woods let me count the things since I am not a golfer or golf fan, the game to me looks like a slow drip of molasses with about that much excitement so I am perhaps skewed in my take on this.

1. Tiger Woods is the greatest golfer EVER.

2. Because of this he is the richest golfer EVER.

3. Because of this he has a Godzilla amount of Endorsements.

4. Because of those paid endorsements he makes even More Money.

That is about all I knew and all I needed to know about Tiger Woods until the replay and dissection of his thirteen minutes “I have sinned” speech, (flash back to Jimmy Swaggart’s crying confession of having sex with prostitutes. Of course he was neither rich nor talented except to take little old ladies money for his evangelism. DISCLAIMER: I BELIEVE IN GOD SO DON’T GO THERE, I DON’T BELIEVE IN USING THAT FAITH TO CASH IN.) Swaggart’s motivation was trying to right himself in time to not lose too much money. However, it was that repeat performance with pictures to show there was no change that did him in and no amount of crocodile tears could save him. (I could add thank God here but won’t)

So flipping through a twelve step program of things to do I see Woods is up to a combination of eight (8) and nine (9). Eight being: “Made a list of all persons we had harmed, and became willing to make amends to them all.” With nine (9) being; “Made direct amends to such people wherever possible, except when to do so would injure them or others.”

Now did Tiger Wood’s lust to spend money and lavish himself with things considered taboo to a clean cut all American, trust your children to follow me, harm me? Nope his wife, his children, his mother, a few friends, the boy scouts and his sponsors, probably. Did it harm me that he went on international television to say he had amends to make and he had harmed people. That was a personal choice, in my opinion, that neither helped nor hurt him, however the “24/7 infotainment news world” got their pound of flesh to dissect for a whole news cycle so he sold advertisements for them, but did I need to hear that, nope.

Look he could have said what he needed to say, if he in fact needed to say anything as follows, in my opinion:

1. I am the best golfer to ever play the game.

2. I made millions in endorsements and money from championships.

3. With money comes, greedy people that want part of that money and will cater to all of your fantasies.

4. I gave into those fantasies and all that does is make me one more imperfect person and perhaps one headed to divorce court.

5. I am no hero, haven’t any of you learned yet to put an imaginary “icon” on a pedestal is going to cause that icon to show they have clay feet? Now he probably should have been saying that to parents and children all along during his career. History has taught us when you put the rich, famous, talented people on pedestals, gravity is always going to win and they will fall off.

6. Leave my wife, my kids and my mother alone, geesh people isn’t there better ways to spend your time then dissecting and stalking my family? (he did say that)

7. I am not going to address the gossip of the extent of my indiscretions that is between my family and me and perhaps my sponsors. (At least he did say that).

If he wanted to throw in that there was no domestic violence and his wife had not chased him with a nine iron down his home driveway, which frankly I kind of liked the idea of a beautiful woman chasing a cheating husband down the drive, that was his choice. So if that did not happen then Tiger Woods should have told us he was drunk, mad, sped away from a fight with his wife and crashed. Got it? That is all we needed to know, in fact we were not “entitled” to even that.

He could have done that in less than five minutes, yet we were all subjected to watching a very private person, who had lied along the way in making all that money, agonized over making amends and admitting his sins. Then we spent the rest of the day having pundits, professional psychologists, twelve step advisers and even body language experts tell us what part was real, what was not and what is next for the Woods’ brand.

Which by the way isn’t there more serious news to cover in the world then Tiger Woods?

We now know he is paying a LOT of money to a sex rehabilitation clinic and was going back to spend a LOT more money there. The Google alerts today say this sex clinic has had to put up a temporary privacy fence. I wonder if that fee was added to Tiger’s bill? I am willing to bet the people who run that inpatient clinic and get a LOT of money from Tiger Woods, high five Woods on his return with WOW man did you do good! You only have (fill in the number of weeks here they say he needs) while of course making a LOT more money from Tiger Woods. It is kind of like hookers charge but for now in a different direction for the rich and famous. I kind of hope Woods went to bed on Saturday night back at the rehab center with a thought of F-U, I feel worse not better and ya’ll made me do a super advanced advertising thirteen minute “I have Sinned” bullshit speech. But hey if it will keep my sponsors then it was a good business decision.

Tiger, let that be the only pound of flesh you hand the world of “24/7 infotainment news”. Their only purpose is to destroy people in search of those advertising dollars. Do what you have to do to rehabilitate your image so the money keeps coming in. However if I was you, one day remind all of these people you can do two things that almost none of them can do: 1. Be the greatest golfer of all time and 2. Make more money then most of them can dream about on Christmas Eve when lollipops of greed dance through their heads.

So have we had enough of Tiger Woods and the guy can get on with his life NOPE, there is just too much money to make in following this imperfect human being. It appears to me his main sin was demanding to keep his personal life very private. I hope he has learned that in doing that, which he was entitled to do, but with an imperfect life he opened the flood gates of man eating “24/7 infotainment”. Learn and move on with money and fame comes that occasional pound of flesh the public via “Infotainment 24/7 news cycles demands”. It is just the way of life these days. I do have to say I like how Tiger’s wife Elvin has handled this. Back to the sex clinic for Tiger but Elin will be taking the credit cards to go shopping and in a very public way. You got to love the way betrayed wives get to decide how much money it is going to cost those wayward husband to get out of the proverbial dog house.

YES THIS IS AN EDITORIAL NOT BASED ON FACTUAL INFORMATION BUT MY OWN THOUGHTS ON THE FIASCO THAT IS SURROUNDING TIGER WOODS.

We have asked that all of you think about what are the best cases we have covered this year. What are the saddest cases we have covered? What are the most interesting to you? What do you want to see in 2010 covered? You can list up to five cases if you remember that many.

For me it is for the best cases, a toss up, I am not sure if I would list the “best cases” as those who settled in a way I was pleased. So many of the people we have covered in 2009 have been heartbreaking. The most interesting one was the Howard K. Stern vs. Rita Cosby, there were so many publicly available depositions and filings in this case that for someone who loves legal papers this is the most interesting one.

The saddest cases we have covered would be the Casey Anthony case. The most frustrating one was the Roland Carnaby alleged CIA case. The federal court granted the motions for Summary Judgment so we will never learn what really happened in that wreck, why the computer went to the Secret Service, and of course this will continue to feed the conspiracy nuts. The death of John O’Quinn was another tragedy. I remember in 2007 I said that we were witnessing two titans in the legal field in the numerous Anna Nicole Smith cases and I predicted one would go on to be thought of as the top lawyer with the most recognizable name and one would retire. I was so wrong about that I still think of the people who loved this man, yes there were many, facing this first holiday season without their colleague and friend. This is followed by the Michael Jackson tragic death and the beginning of family members fighting to control his Estate. For some reason that always happens and it must be very heartbreaking for all three of Jackson’s children. The two most bizarre cases we followed in 2009 was the Lori Drew federal criminal case of violating the TOS of MySpace and of course we can’t leave out Michelle Bruan, the Hollywood Madam

For 2010, we will finish all things Anna Nicole Smith as we have always promised, although I have to admit I am really worn down on these cases and will be glad when the last one to wind up hopefully by the summer of 2010. We will cover the Casey and Caylee Anthony case in 2010, as I have said many times I do not like to cover missing or murdered children because it is heart wrenching to me. However as the documents become public in this case with three trials coming up in 2010, I feel this is a have to case to follow. I also think Michael Jackson’s death, indictments, trials and continued fighting over his Estate will be at the forefront of our coverage. Now that Roman Polanski’s appeal to drop his case in the California Appeals Court has been denied we will follow whether the U. S. is successful in expediting Polinski and if so we will cover that trial.

When Michelle Braun graced Rose Speaks.com the day of her sentencing, one of the things she posted was she wasn’t worried about making more money that is always something easy to do if you are smart, like her.

Braun pled guilty to one count of money laundering and one count of transporting a woman across state lines for prostitution. Braun is quick to say she WAS NOT convicted of anything because the federal government had nothing to convict her on. So why did Braun plead guilty and get six (6) months of house arrest and three (3) years of probation. It is simple Braun said she took a bullet for everyone, family members, Johns and her girls, OH REALLY???

Braun was quick to start her P. R. campaign with the announcement of a tell all book to a “news” infotainment gossip rag in New York that she was taking Hugh Hefner and the Playboy empire on face to face. Of course this is shortly after settling a copyright suit with Playboy and Hefner out of court. What is that saying; “hell has no fury like a woman climbing back up to the top”? Braun is taking on Playboy’s image of the wholesome girl next door turned Playboy centerfold vowing to debunk that myth. I did not know that is how Playboy billed their centerfolds, they don’t look like most girls next door in my world, they are sexual air brushed hot nudes, made to make men have wonderful fantasies. Like sugarplums at Christmas dance through the heads of children, Playboy plays to the fantasies of adults. However, Michelle Braun is to do a tell all book about how she always had one girl inside the world of Hefner’s house to “recruit” for her yearly multimillion dollar business. Braun is claiming that at one time six of the seven women living at the Playboy Mansion worked for Braun behind Hefner’s back. Why take on Hugh Hefner and the Playboy Empire, easy it gets her that face time she desires and it keeps her busy for the next six months.

Then entered Tiger Woods and the around the clock infotainment coverage, one New York rag had Tiger on the front page for 25 straight days and will have him on the cover through the end of the year no doubt. Michelle Braun sprung to get into that, after all famous man, lots of money, beautiful girls, of course that would include Braun wouldn’t it? She appeared on every show that she could get with the bracelet on her ankle and from her Florida home. You know that is what house arrest consists of no matter how nice the home or the number of shows willing to do a video feed from her confining quarters. Her home sweet home for the next five months, we saw show after show featuring her confessions of how much Woods spent per night with her prostitutes and which ones as they were uncovered worked for her stable. You have to give her credit she is her own best promoter in the world of needing that P. R. However one site says this “might not be true”, if so expect Marty Singer, Hollywood heavy weight lawyer to ask for those IRS 1099 forms.

My question whom did she take that bullet for? She is taking on Hugh Hefner, the Playboy Empire and now Tiger Woods. In the Woods’ sensational infotainment news Braun has threatened to release 1099 IRS forms on the girls who say they never worked for her. We got to see that “confession” by Braun during a few prime time coverage shows and a lot of infotainment shows like Geraldo on Fox.

Is there anymore empires, rich men or beautiful women who need to worry about whether or not they are on her list of “secrets to keep”. I bet that the “ex-Madam’s” reemergence on to the stage of a “Madam” turned author will prove to be interesting to say the least. As she continues to refer to them as “her girls” and at the expense of all of those people she claims she took the bullet for, by the way who did she take a bullet for? Why didn’t the feds keep those 1099 IRS forms? One could guess that was an early Christmas present to the “Madam” from the feds. After all a girl has to work.

We are lucky to have the two pictures merged with this article. The one on the left is of the flat chest-ed girl with a tad long nose who really does look like the girl next door. This is side by side of the voluptuous huge breasted, hour glass figure that comes with the high price payments of plastic surgery, should she send out thank-you cards to those who gave her those boobs? Braun had a message for all, the day of her sentencing especially to all of her fans on her Face Book; note the finger that perhaps was the first hint she was out for money and blood. Ah the woman scorned who will end up in the tell all book who all did she offer up to the book publishers to sell her idea? One thing is for sure Braun does not intend to stay mum as Heidi Fleiss the last Hollywood Madam did for her girls and more important the rich and powerful men her business served.

We shall wait and see what sweet tidbits this “Hollywood Madam” called Michelle Braun offers up. Never fear Rose Speaks.com will continue with the coverage of the plight, the journey, the fall only to rise again if she has her way called the millionaire Madam.

Michelle Braun the latest Hollywood Madam whose business was bigger then Heidi Fleiss, with more ex-Playmates and even some porn stars served the very rich and famous from the U. S. to overseas. Braun will be sentenced today in a federal California Court. The U. S. is recommended five (5) years probation with no more than six (6) months of house arrest.

The federal government has stated that Michelle Braun has given over her electronic black books and is helping the federal government in its ongoing investigation of whose who in Hollywood and how far reaching literally – globally, her “organization” was.

Braun has pled guilty to one felony charge of transporting a woman across state lines for the purpose of prostitution and one felony account of money laundering.

Many wondered why Braun immediately agreed to a plea bargain and to hand over her list of “Johns”. Now we know in the Civil Forfeiture part of this case.

Braun was quick to make this deal because this was truly in every sense of the word a family affair. Braun’s husband, Farrell Kellener, was listed as the president of the multiple business names for Nikki’s Girls with advertising online and a chunk of change to rent one of these girls. Braun got caught by giving service online to an undercover agent. But then she does love to be referred to as “Queen”. Braun’s sister, Mandy Gray of Bakersfield California, worked as her secretary and bookkeeper, her parents had a piece of the action, Braun kept money stashed out of the country, per filings Amsterdam seemed to be her favorite place to stash the extra case. She had a plan to flee the U. S. to a rich uncle in Mexico and then on to a country where extradition was not a guarantee. However, the most surprising family member involved was her brother, listed as a Newport Beach California attorney, however his name is alleged to be Jeff L. Braun. Braun’s brother, the attorney, told everyone he was not Michelle’s brother, and he appears to be protected hin filings as just her brother a Newport Beach Attorney, but once the U. S. government asked for the Civil Suit to be unsealed and the Stay lifted, there was her brother, listed as a “Newport Beach California attorney” who had his sister power of attorney to access her funds if needed for bail money or other expenses. Is aiding a sister in money laundering and prostitution an ethics violation in California? Hell is not reporting a crime an ethics violation in California? However, Braun being the good daughter and sister has taken the full force of the U. S. Government conviction upon herself. Next question why is Michelle Braun getting such a little bit of slap on the hands both sentence wise and property the federal government wants? Remember how much time both the previous Hollywood Madam, Heidi Fleiss and the D. C. Madam received?

You might note also that Michelle Braun’s attorney is Ellyn Garofalo of the Dr. Sandeep Kapoor of Anna Nicole Smith fame. All of this is things that make most of us go Mmmmmmmm. Remember the D. C. Madam was going to jail no if, buts or ands about it, so what is different in this family affair of prostitution, lots of money and high living in Braun’s case.

Following her arrest on May 28, 2009 for not keeping the terms of her bond, the Hollywood Madam, Michelle Braun, also known as “Nici” arrived at court in California on June 19 with her very own U. S. Marshals picking her up in Florida, holding her there and then bringing her to California last week.

In notes from the June 19 hearing held in U. S Central District Federal Court of California the Honorable Cormac J. Carney accepted Braun’s plea of guilty on two counts of felonies and the Judge stated in his Order on Friday, June 19, 2009 that, “The Court ORDERS the preparation of a Presentence Report. Sentencing set for 10/19/2009 10:00 AM”. The presentence report is to be sent to the Court one week before sentencing.

However, the real kicker here is that Judge Cormac J. Carney also issued the following stating in the proceedings, “Defendant, [Michelle Braun a/k/a Nici], Ordered released from custody forthwith under same terms and conditions of bond approved 05/11/09.” That would be the same bond and terms of release under the bond that she failed to follow the first time around…. Mmmmmmmmmm who does she know or who is she ratting out? The judge also slipped in this little tidbit, “Court vacates status conference date and trial date as “to this defendant only”. So far Hollywood Madam, Michelle Braun, is the only one charged in this investigation but she has been cooperating with the federal government with any federal agency that “wants” her to talk, so perhaps that bought her a get out of jail free card. Will we see more indictments over the summer? Who will “Nici” take down with her? Why does the federal Court Judge Carney thinks she will abide by the terms of staying out of jail with her bond will work this time around? Has he read the report from Florida about what all Braun has NOT done per the bond agreement?

Braun, affectionately called the Hollywood Madam is out to frolic with her girls and her favorite clients and those she loves. She refers to Tommy Lee of Motley Crue as “her boy”, and that she just loves him so much in her photo album, he appears to be much closer to Nici then Nikki Sixx of the Motley Crue. What’s in your pocket Tommy Lee?

We are going to stay on top of this story as we unravel who all Braun knows, one rumor says she has one of the past President’s Bush on speed dial, any bets as to which one?

In the latest filings in the Hollywood Madam scandal in California, Michelle Braun violated her conditions of bond and was arrested by U. S. Marshalls and will be returned from Florida to California for a hearing on June 19 at 10 A. M. for a change in plea from not guilty to guilty.

Hollywood Madam, Michelle Braun, might have just messed up any plea agreement she had with the federal government. On May 26, 2009 the Pre-Sentence Agency asked the Court in California to issue an arrest warrant for Braun in Florida for failing to keep the terms of her bond release. Ms. Braun is alleged to have not kept any appointments with the PSA as required for continued release on $20k bond pending her change in plea and the nice plea agreement she had made with the feds.

The June 2, 2009 Detention Order for Hollywood Madam, Michelle Braun following a hearing in Florida is a must read, it outlines where she was found after a hearing to have violated the terms of her bond. She was remanded to U. S. Marshalls to be held until extradited back to California to enter her changed “plea”.

It would appear also from the document that the Hollywood Madam is in jail and pregnant, not a good place to find oneself.

Her cooperation with the U. S. government was supposed to bring in some of the biggest names in Hollyweird, Florida, New York and even foreign dignitaries in far off places like Dubai. Ms. Braun allegedly dealt with ex-playboy playmates and the cream la crop of some of the most beautiful women in America, for any taste her clients might have. These gorgeous women were transported from California to New York and beyond at a price of $5,000k per night and sometimes up to $50k for a weekend of “delights”.

Ms. Braun had replaced the previous Hollywood Madam, Heidi Fleiss, after Ms. Fleiss had gone to jail to not give up her little black book of top end clients. These days that type of loyalty is no longer and Ms. Braun is reported to have cooperated with the U. S. government including turning over and validating her computerized version of the little black book.

Everyone in Hollyweird was braced for a scandal like none seen since the arrest of Ms. Fleiss. Braun is rumored to have made a sweet deal with the government by turning federal witness naming some of the biggest whose who in the land; she only catered to the rich and powerful. The deal allegedly was that she would sing like a love dove and in return would lose very little of her riches received in her business and none of her three homes. Part of the plea agreement was that she would only forfeit a minimum compared to other convictions, like the Washington D. C. Madam, Deborah Palfrey whose Estate is still tangled up in court after she chose trial over handing over her black book, following her convictions she as you might remembered committed suicide.

We will have to wait until June 19 to see how costly the arrest for violation of bond of the newest Hollywood Madam to be busted. Will her violations now send her to jail instead of the house arrest she was supposed to get? Will she continue to cooperate with the government or has she already told all she knows? Will there be more arrests and can we expect some hot steamy aftermath with a clientele of the very rich and famous named?

We turned to super Hollywood P. I. John J. Nazarian to see if he knew Michelle Braun, he stated he had at one time been retained by one or more parties in this latest Hollyweird scandal, he however refused to tell us who his client(s) might have been or was now so could only give us the following on the record statement:

“I have always found Michelle to be articulate and great business woman, she tried to play by the rules and she paid her taxes, and attempted to raise her family, in the best way that she could. Some of this is little of nonsense in the fact that she is provided a service that hundreds and hundreds of people were happy to pay for. I have known her for quite a while and wish her all of the best and knowing Michelle she will eventually land on her feet and I wish her well.”

At least Ms. Braun did pay her taxes which might be why she was offered a sweetheart deal of money and property to keep by the U. S. Prosecutors, we will just have to wait and see how all of this plays out now.
