I wandered over to Desperate Exes.com today to see if John J. Nazarian had part 3 up on his critique of the trip to Europe, he usually gives us a head’s up if one is coming out but with the trip and all I figured I would just check it out.

Yeppers there is part 3 up and we will bring you all a lead in to that tomorrow.

HOWEVER, what caught my attention right off was that John’s long time friend, Julie, has put up a picture and all it said was “Happy Birthday John and Christian” dated July 9th.

Shes does GREAT graphics for John’s site Desperate Exes.com so we “borrow/swipe” them occasionally to go with a lead in story here on Rose Speaks.com and to date she has never been miffed about that.

Speaking of Julie being miffed, today as a Birthday wish, I am going to share some of the journey of John J. Nazarian and Rose Speaks.com.

I became aware of John J. Nazarian on March 31, 2007 when Rivera Geraldo’s brother, Craig, waylaid him outside a restaurant to try to get a statement about one of his clients. My thought was this is a tough guy you would not want to meet as an enemy in a dark alley. Later that fall of 2007 John did a couple of posts on the old Rose Speaks.com site and of course Rita Cosby put his email out there for the world in her book on Anna Nicole Smith, Howard K. Stern and Larry Birkhead, but this is NOT about any of that.

I found that John was going to cover the Anthony Pellicano trial, how great I thought a PI covering a defrocked Hollywood Royal PI’s in federal a wire tapping trial. So I approached John via email and that led to me “dealing” with Julie. I found she can tough when it comes to John. I had to do a major presentation, show the numbers Rose Speaks.com got per month, promise how the lead in to John’s article would be done etc. I really was scared of this very tough woman. However if you treat her John right, you are in like glue with her. She became delightful to work with. During the trial one of our guest writers, Sprocket, wrote on her blog about seeing John during the Pellicano trial and mentioned that John was a celebrity in his own right in Hollywood. WOW new information on this guy.

John did cover the Pellicano trial and from there a somewhat email relationship began between John and me. John did several articles and always graciously allowed Rose Speaks.com to ride on his fame and do a lead in and the numbers just went up and the readers it brought in was a whole different crowd then the Anna Nicole Smith articles and papers brought in. These people read and did not post but as I told John and Julie at the end of the day it is about page reads that a blog lives or dies from, not the number of posts.

Then came Hurricane Ike and during that time the loss of our beloved black lab, CJ, and I was distraught beyond words, sobbing with Ken and I huddled like any pet owners that lost their “child”. I sent a simple mass email out that told of our loss and asked that no one call us for the next couple of days to allow us to grieve privately (and because I did not want anyone to know how hard the loss had been for us). About thirty minutes later the phone rang and I was annoyed but picked it up, life and articles for the blog goes on I thought. NOT so, John said simply; “Rose we are going to sit here together and cry together over CJ and share the memories we both have of pets that we loved and lost”; and that is what we did for an hour. John won my heart that day; a $400 an hour PI to the rich and famous gave me an hour and showed me a human none PI side of a fellow pet lover/owner.

That was in August or September 2008, my birthday came in October and John sent me an email and said; “I am not trying to interfere or step on your toes, and I know CJ can never be replaced, but if you want another lab, save one from a shelter or puppy mill and I will pay for it, not as a payment for the writings you helped with lead in articles but as friends with the one condition that no one ever knows about this.” I think John said that because he does not like for his kind side to be exploited or he can’t lose that tough and rough PI image. He ended with, “Hell get two if you want them, keep me posted and take your time”. We found Duke and Thor at a puppy mill, heartbreaking and told John; Duke and Thor promptly came home with us. John asked about them, we sent pictures and kept our word and the world never knew of this side of John, it would not mess up his tough guy Hollywood image or allow anyone to know about this loving gift from a fellow “pet” parent.

Then came the deposition and some stupid did not know shit forum poster on that “T” site had spun a story that the Stern family paid us off with these two darling babies. I called John and told him this might come up in the deposition and what I had read from witness statements. John said; “Well F— (I think you know the words he would have used), tell them the truth Rose at the deposition”. So I told them the truth even before the deposition date and told them that the witness statement they had was not going to stand up under scrutiny with emails from this forum poster or even from phone calls between this “poster” and me. In other words their witness had no credibility and it would be easy to prove.

So today on John and Chris’ birthday we offer them our heartfelt congratulations, Chris is a great son and I have been lucky enough to talk to both of John’s sons at times. Chris had to walk his dad through what a Jpeg was from a digital camera and Chris is the one that emailed us the pictures of John by his limousine covering the Pellicano Trial we asked for. I could tell from the tone I heard between Chris and his dad, John, the love that abounded in their home and the ability to kid his dad, and John loving every second of it.

John is rough and tough and a mighty adversary when it comes to his representation of his clent, but if you are lucky enough to get a look beyond that, he has a gentle giant side when his heart is touched.

Happy Birthday John and Chris, from our home to your home and thank you so much for what you have given to both Rose Speaks.com and to us personally.

Admittedly, the drugs that I have received during my visits to hospitals for procedures are just fabulous, just nothing less than wonderful! …And it makes me wonder if body builders and lawyers cannot get hooked on a similar high? A high that comes from illegal shenanigans and unfair advantages.

Body builders are an interesting group when it comes to working out. …Spartan Style! And then, someone suggests steroids and the tough workout shows even bigger results, but often a little strange to look at, and at a steep price in other areas. …but to many who become addicted to bigger and bigger muscles, it is worth the sacrifice…go figure.

Sitting with a good friend a few weeks ago at a Dodgers game, we discussed another interesting addiction, wiretapping, and what it has done to several people who practice law and their reputations. What it must have been like to be a big rich celebrity divorce lawyer and know that you used the services of Mr. Pellicano, yes we all know who you are and what you did! How does it make one feel to walk the halls of the courthouse and to know that judges and even your “pals” know you cheated? …Sure they seemed to know everything, almost to the point of what you were thinking!

Funny, if you discussed it on the phone these SOB’s with big fancy offices and state bar cards knew exactly what you were thinking and what you were going to do in court the next day or the next month. I actually spoke to several lawyers who knew something was “not right” and some who questioned themselves — were they even good at practicing law anymore?! How could they win against such freakish, super lawyer abilities? Now with the exception of Terry Christensen all of them got away with their illegal activity, but Terry got screwed. …Now for $400 per hour my clients want creativity and god knows I try. However, I don’t want to be indicted and for me to create legal problems for the lawyers who employ me is just not on the table! “Creativity” in my business is imagining the possibilities within the lines. That is what I built my reputation on.

Follow me here, the power of hospital drugs, steroids and wiretapping are all very addictive influences. One is legal, the other depends on how one uses it and why, and the last unquestionably illegal, but as I was told by the federal prosecutor, Mr. Saunders, “a wiretap is the gold standard“ of information. My point in bringing this back to light is how are these lawyers who seemed invincible and who could never lose in court or negotiations, how are they doing today now that their “juice” is no longer available? And for all of you lawyers out there who practice the “old fashion” way in high dollar cases, have you noticed that the playing field is more level? …Certainly one lawyer who will not let go is still suing one of his former best friends for having put him on Pellicano’s “git it done list”…two titans of divorce, two millionaire lawyers fighting over what one did to the other. Former buds, vacationing buddies, your canoe is my canoe, “pass me one of them big cigars”…pals!!

The other thing is this, what technology is being used today to try and get the upper hand? Oh it is here already, trust me. There are so many “geeks” out there developing better, harder-to-detect technology, just like the dirty docs of the sports world keep formulating harder-to-detect juice. People in this country have short memories and will give “technology” another shot…just wait! Anthony will be dead and buried as will the handful of attorneys who “made” him who he was, but someone else will come along offering “juice,” and the sweet sensation of overpowering, unfair advantage. And if and when the Secret Service or F.B.I. pays you a visit at your big fancy office, take a deep breath and ask yourself, “do you feel lucky?”…and remember Terry Christensen.

Well it was smackdowns and laughs in Department 2 this morning at the Stanley Mosk Courthouse. Real funny for some and real sad for others. Department 2 is the domain of Judge Steinberg and the judge was sticking with her “tentative”..$489,254.05. Yup, she did it and this was an interim fee award without prejudice to request MORE!!!!! More??!! This judge got it and understood clearly what was being done in her court and did the right thing! And you know, the rich are different and should pay when they can to “keep the monkeys dancing.”

Who might you ask were the actors in this divorce drama???? Lisa Kerkorian was in court today with her lawyers, Michael Trope and his partner Patrick DeCarolis, it was strange, these two divorce titans said pretty much nothing…almost church-like! Their paperwork was submitted and there they sat waiting for a decision from Judge Steinberg. NOW, on the other side representing the 41st richest man in the world were Joe Mannis and Robert Kipper, who might you ask is their client? None other than Kirk Kerkorian, who is a very rich old fellow, born in Fresno on June 6, 1917. (I had the chance to meet him for a few seconds during his appearance in Federal Court in defense of his former lawyer and good friend, Terry Christensen. During the Anthony Pellicano wire tapping trial. He was twice as entertaining as Chris Rock …)

Joe Mannis was beside himself as he was throwing all he could to get the Judge not to give this huge sum of money to Lisa’s lawyers….

This is more than huge money, Michael Trope and his client Lisa K can go back to court and likely get more in the weeks and months to come. This is bad for the rich old guy, now the former love of his life can fight him with his own money! If I were Mr. Mannis I would hope that Mr. Kerkorian does not have the volume turned up on his hearing aid when his assistant tells him that he got hammered in Los Angeles this morning…then again one must reflect that you cannot take all that money with you…

Note: It would appear that this year Mr. Kerkorian has been very generous to a few lawyers here in Los Angeles…”what was that clicking sound on my phone?”…

Tap Tap Tap Tap me, whatever pain or harm a wiretap can bring is nothing compared to the financial rewards that can land in the victim’s bank accounts. There is not one doubt in my mind that I was “listened to” during the days of Anthony Pellicano’s reign of terror. …To think of all that money slipping through my hands only because my government got hoodwinked by a self-taught private investigator in the art and wizardry of wiretapping and the storage of information. All at the hands of a computer geek and “The Pelican.”

I have heard through the grapevine MILLIONS were paid to make one “victim” go away, and even a couple of lesser victims got more than they could have ever dreamed of. However, there are people in the world that a million, 2 million, 3 million is a little like tipping the parking attendant a $ 10 bill: big deal for that parking guy, ain’t shit for the guy giving it…very similar here folks.

And in some people’s circles, when you put your ass on the line and “stay the course” it is expected that you and those close to you will be taken care of. That is real old school if you get what I am saying here folks. …And in the end what is a an old law career worth anyways, 1 million, 2 million, 3 million…well I think you are getting the point here. …

…Very rich divorce lawyers battling it out in the civil courts and one is guilty as hell and the other is a victim. The problem is the next payout will not be fast and easy as this last one. Damn, Tap Tap Tap away…as it is so often stated, the rich get richer, and the rest of us? We at least sleep well, right fellas?

And so begins another year of fun, games, great massages and DIVORCE bullshit. Of all the stuff that we enjoy through the years, massages are more popular then ever now that the big 60 is approaching.

Well let me get to it fast, Some F’n moron has the nerve to place a sign on the lawn of the Santa Monica courthouse stating: COMMISSIONER DAVID J. COWAN FAMILY VALUES: R DIFFERENT FOR STR8 AMERICA! To the individual who did this, you are pathetic! I am not a big fan of Commissioner Cowan and have so stated. However, I hope that in time he grasps a better understanding of his role as a commissioner in divorce court….

…the hate mail just keeps rolling in on J. Michael Kelly and company. Never have we had such an assortment of misery all pointing at Mr. Kelly. Once again, for me, I like the guy and found him entertaining and generous with his time…but then again we were eating! Also he has one of the more interesting backgrounds of the hundreds of people I have interviewed for DesperateExes.com. …I even have happy letters from former clients that I save right next to the ones that were…not so happy!

…I understand that those who were “victims” of the Pellican and his wiretapping are laughing all the way to the bank, with the exception of one, who is rolling to his bank. Tap Tap Tap Tap me, whatever pain or harm a wiretap can bring is nothing compared to the financial rewards that can land in the poor victims’ bank accounts. There is not one doubt in my mind that I was “listened to,” TAPPED, during the days of Anthony Pellicano’s reign of terror. I say this with a great big grin. I am also very saddened that not all of the recordings were found and thus went my financial windfall, so I too could “roll” to the bank. I am beyond saddened…to think of all that money slipping through my hands only because my government got hoodwinked by a self-taught private investigator in the art and wizardry of wiretapping and the storage of information, with his little Armenian computer geek.

I hope that Anthony is getting along, I heard from a source that he was not well. Hold your eyeroll, yes he did some bad things. Hello! That is what private investigators do, they “upset” people and to many, “do bad things.” That, as I have said many times before, justifies the fees that a small group of us earn. It is not a nice, friendly type of work. You get to make people miserable….

…As for several lawyers in Beverly Hills and Century City, you guys should be making generous donations to Anthony’s favorite concerns… you know who you are and you know what you did and you know what I mean! One day this story is going to resurface. Well, for one thing it won’t be told by that scumbag Michael Viner formerly of Dove Books. Viner was good friends with Anthony and one time was bragging as to a book and movie deal…Mr. Viner is sleeping with the worms, he died last year. And folks, there is no way to sugar-coat the participation of some of Hollywood’s big law firms and the wonderful relationship they had with The Pellican…..what was that click I heard? Dam phone lines!

Have any of you ever noticed that the wealthy or famous get treated differently at restaurants, stores, amusement parks and yes, within the criminal justice system? (And did you know that if you are a celebrity and like Prada, Gucci, Louis Vuitton and other famous brands you can get 30% and more off the retail price, or even free as “swag” at festivals and media events?) All because they are rich and or famous. Seems odd, does it not, to think those with the most advantages get the biggest breaks.

Famed, acclaimed and notorious director Roman Polanski was born August 18, 1933 in Paris and grew up in Poland, the son of a Polish Jew and a Russian immigrant. …His first Hollywood hit was Rosemary’s Baby. His pregnant wife, Sharon Tate, was killed by the Manson Family. He won an Academy Award. And the rest, as they say, is history.

Polanski pleaded guilty in 1977 to a single count of unlawful sex with a minor, she was thirteen. He admitted to having given Champagne and a Qualude to a 13-year-old little girl he’d taken to his pal Jack Nicholson’s (who starred in his film Chinatown) house for a photo shoot. It was during that photo shoot that it is alleged that things got a little let’s say “sick” with the 13 year old. Put this on and take that off and that off and that off and then having sex with her, the 13 year old. Putting up a bond after his plea, Polanski fled the country before he was sentenced. The arrest warrant against him was issued in 1978….FOR HAVING SEX WITH A 13 YEAR OLD! Now, after 30 years as a free “fugitive” living the very good life in France (always more tolerant of pervs, especially “artistic” ones), the law has finally caught up with him.

… “It’s ancient,” Finkle said, once again we see the Hollywood attitude of “what is the big deal?” Doing what he is accused of with a 13 YEAR OLD GIRL.

The big question is this folks, there are people doing hard time for being found guilty of doing a fraction of what this creep did and he should walk? What kind of message does that send? Have enough money, and you can run and keep out of reach of the jurisdiction of where you committed the crime and hope everyone forgets? He is a fugitive from justice just like all the criminals we see on America’s Most Wanted, it does not get any simpler than that.

….She was only 13 years old…the curtain is closing…it is now time to pay the fiddler!

Rose Speaks.com is two years old today, thank you! Wow so many to thank.

My hubby, Ken, who kicked in to help in May when I became ill and made sure the numbers continued to grow and he actually has grown fond of blogging, must be all of the nice people who stop by and share a tad each day with Rose Speaks.com.

To Beth for the legal papers she explains so well. Heath who does so much behind the scenes that Rose Speaks.com would not be seen as running as smoothly as it does without her special “observer”, [as I have nicknamed her], touch but who does so much and never expects anything back. Roxanne our blunt, and yet kind and problem solving moderator who makes us laugh, shoots from the hip and is always there to help each member with her open email door policy and caring and keeping the problem solving running so smoothly. Diamond Girl who is taking a chance and learning the public forums and building them literally from the ground up for all of you to enjoy, be a part of it, we encourage each of you to be and she now has her own Rose Speaks.com email addy check for it in the forums. Then there are Fifi, Lian and Sammy all of whom are trying to keep the chat going, I promise ladies it will get better over the summer with more scheduled chats both just getting to know you chats and chats on the cases we are covering.

To moderators and admins who have come and gone, each leaving a permanent imprint of their presence and the many hours they gave.

To sources for articles and cases to follow, who wished to remain just that, nameless sources, thanks for your confidence in Rose Speaks.com.

Staying on top of the latest news as it breaks via video from Casey Anthony in Florida, to Roland Carnaby in Houston and maintains the Rose Speaks.com You Tube channel, and do we want to cover Drew Peterson? If there is a case out there you want us to cover, and video exists let us know, we will get it up for all of you.

Sprocket, who covered Phil Spector, and stayed the course, including every day for two different jury watches, and was there to see justice done for Lana Clarkson and her family and kept the only diary of the daily proceedings that can be found anywhere. We hope Sprocket will give us her insight as well on the upcoming criminal proceedings in California including Stern, Kapoor and Dr. Khris, as Sprocket said she will try to cover as much as she can with no holds barred and calling and writing as she sees it. We also look forward to Sprocket’s take on other cases.

Our Hollywood Madam sources, thanks for the head’s up and some of the documents and pictures we will be putting up as we cover this story, of Michelle Braun, as it perhaps unravels some of the rich and powerful from coast to coast here in the U. S. and if it stretches to other countries. .
