Nazarian begins tonight’s show with his thoughts of the shooting death of gay teen Lawrence “Larry” King at school by another teen, Brandon McInerney. This shooting death affecting John Nazarian to the point he has a picture of King on his desk.

Tammy Aaberg took her grief over the suicide of her gifted son and turned it into something positive for other teens in the LGBTQ community so they are not alone and have a safe place to spend some special time with adults who understand. Jefferson Fietek is a teacher in a middle school in Minnesota who has worked alone and with others for changes in the schools of Minnesota and has also joined with Tammy Aaberg and others to make Justin’s Gift a continuing success.
Tammy and Jefferson will discuss other events plans for the holidays but will also talk about the potential situations that at risk teens face during what can become a very lonely holiday season for them.
Justin Gift is NOT a suicide hotline for LGBTQ teens and point out with John Nazarian that the The Trevor Project does provide a 24/7 emergency line at 866-488-7386 for teens who find themselves struggling during the holidays and needs emergency support.
