Casey and Caylee Anthony: Joy Wray Equusearch, Finally the Orange County Sheriff’s Department Talks to her only Eleven Months Later!

Ms Wray, for the past year has been a lone voice that no one wanted to hear in the district attorney’s office because she said that Caylee Anthony remains were not where Roy Kronk said they were.
Now almost a year later the Orange County Sheriff’s office has decided to talk to her. I guess they missed the video with this article made almost a year ago.
Joy Wray has stated she spent hours looking for Caylee Anthony’s body before Kronk found the remains in December and said she had the video that proves Caylee’s body was not in the woods in November 2008 where Kronk had said it was. If you remember, three of Roy Kronk’s fellow workers said they did not remember Kronk even talking about seeing any remains in August. In fact one of Kronk’s fellow employees said he only remembered the rattle snake they found and that he took it home and put it in the freezer. I have always wondered why his fellow workers remember the rattle snake but don’t remember or, for the most part, was hazy at best about Kronk saying he saw a body in the woods on three different days in August. This was before the tropical storm hit in mid August making those woods impossible to get to for a couple of months by volunteer searcher’s like Tim Miller’s Texas Equusearch.
In a rush to prove Casey Anthony was the murderer of her daughter, because after all a young immature woman who lied had to be a murderer, why did the Orange County DA focus only on Casey Anthony from the beginning? So does that mean if you are young, immature and a compulsive liar, then you must be a murderer? I have always had a hard time swallowing that logic.
That was followed by thousands of doucments released by the Orange County district attorney’s office under the Florida sunshine act. All of these papers went to prove how bad Casey Anthony was and to convict her in the public since it was only a circumstantial case. The infotainment business went ballistic on the story almost handing out the white sheets and the rope, sadly something many of us remember happening in the spring of 2007 on another case we have been following.
We have a whole section of those documents release over the last 1+ years to preserve them after they are taken offline by news papers, etc…
Ms. Wray has always said she had a video that backed up Casey Anthony’s defense team, led by Jose Baez and Andrea Lyon, that showed that Caylee’s remains could not be where Kronk said they were in August 2008. Ms. Wray has maintained her video would prove that someone other than Casey Anthony probably put the remains of Caylee Anthony there after Casey Anthony was in jail.
Yesterday the Orange County Sheriff’s department descended on Ms. Wray’s home with a search warrant to pick up her computer for examination because that is where the video is stored. Let’s hope they don’t accidentally erase the video or the hard drive while examining it. Eleven months later with at least one video “overlooked” and now the Orange County Sheriff’s department wants to interview Ms. Wray… YOU THINK????
The Orange County Sheriff’s department questioned Ms. Wray yesterday as they served the search warrant at her home for her computer. I hope that Casey Anthony’s defense team and private investigator, Mort Smith, makes sure they stay on top of this evidence and not let it slip away as the district attorney’s office and sheriff’s department might shop around for a forensic specialist like they did with Casey’s car when the first forensic specialist to examines the car disagree with what the district attorney’s office wanted to hear, thus they shopped for an expert who would agree with them about the car.
The defense team said Monday they’ve located two additional volunteers whose names did not appear on the list provided by Miller. Both of these individual’s claim they were in the same area where the toddler’s body was found, but did not find Caylee.
One of the volunteers, Laura Buchanan, of New Jersey, submitted a sworn statement that “may provide” ammunition for Casey Anthony’s defense team, per media in Florida
WE HAVE NOW EDITED THE STATEMENT OF LAURA BUCHANAN SINCE ONE OF OUR NEW POSTERS ON THIS CASE, tupelohonny, FOR PROVIDING US WITH A LINK WHERE WE COULD READ THE STATEMENT FOR OURSELVES. By doing this in all of the cases we follow we hope we stick to the facts as they are presented to the Court in flings, and not fall into the “hype, spin or sensationalism” as others who post might want to go. In the statement, Buchanan wrote:
“On September 3, 2008, the team in which I was assigned, [from TES], went to Suburban Street in Orlando and searched the area near where the remins of Caylee Anthony were found.
“We were in that area for approximately 3 to 4 hours. I personally searched near the privacy fence and worked my way towards and then beyond the spot where the body was found”
I did not notice anything unusual. I did not notice a strange smell. I noticed no buzzards, nor unusual animal or insect activity.
It is my opinion that the remains of Caylee Anthony were not there during the time of our search.”
Another volunteer said that Caylee’s body was not found when he searched the same area. This volunteer believes Casey Anthony killed Caylee, but that the family hid Caylee Anthony’s body and put it in the woods later after November 2008. If that proves true then what and why did Kronk called the Orange County Sheriff’s office those three times in August 2008?
Joseph Jordan statement reads, “On September 1, 2008, I and a group of approximately 30 TES volunteers went to the area of Suburban and Hope Springs Streets in Orlando, Florida. We went to that area to search for the remains of Caylee Anthony.
Although I was in the area with over 30 people, only five to six volunteers and I searched the ara by the stockade fence along the south side of Suburban Street near Hope Springs Street. Among the five to six volunteers with me were Danny Ibison and his dog and a Panama City Sheriff’s Deputy with one of his two dogs.”
My question with Mr. Jordan statement about the dogs is were they cadiver dogs? If not what they trained to look for? It is my understanding that trained dogs excel at what they are trained to do, but no where do I see where the two dogs were in fact specialized to hunt for remains of a human.
So who killed Caylee Anthony and why, if this is all true, did Kronk make calls in August 2008 when there are claims that there was no body there to be found?

November 23, 2009 Casey Anthony’s legal team filed copy of Motion with Memorandum of law to modify the previous Court Order. Anthony wants the Court to order TES to turn over all material involving the search for Caylee Anthony. The Motions has 2 exhibits from TES’ volunteers that their names were not on the list provided to Anthony by TES. The Motions has two exhibits with it from TES’ volunteer statements that their names were not on the list of names turned over by TES.

If this does not prove that the sensationalized infotainment of Geraldo Rivera, Greta Van Susteren and Nancy Grace, once again being passed as news was the driving force of a conviction in the media, just as they have done to other cases we have been following, then I don’t know what does. When will these infotainment programs have to give a disclaimer as one watches that they are not reliable news sources but infotainment always following that illusive ratings sweep that brings in those advertisement dollars? We can only hope as other forms of media began to call them out on this type of total disregard for what the truth might be, via blogs and online news sites, they or the advertisers will began to insist on a disclaimer.
Why did it take over a year to finally check out all of the leads? Why has the infotainment shows such as Fox “News” and CNN’s Headline News just been allowed to run a muck? Hello, if some of this were real news, don’t you think CNN would have it on their “news” channel instead of the sensational part called Head Line “News” and Nancy Grace?

I could never understand anyone being able to miss the body for so long…bodies smell.
Yes Heath and especially if it was in those woods still decomposing. I never thought all of the search teams from July to December could miss her remains.
Helllllloooooo people! That area was under water, tripple bagged and left there by Casey. It states that in this article that it is believed Casey killed her. Can’t have it both ways…….. No one really cares about Casey. She would lie if even you presented the truth to her. All I care about is who killed Caylee and justice for her. F the rest!!!
How could it be under water in August on 3 different days and Mr. K supposedly seeing the body, calling police and have them come out to never see anything he was talking about? The body was finally found in Dec. supposedly in the same place Mr. K always said it was. Don’t you think the water would have carried it somewhere? Here we believe in searching out the truth and not just jumping on someone because the media makes a good case against them. Maybe that something you should try sometime. By the way, the statements in the above article are given as opinion ONLY and NOT fact.
I know it wasn’t under water in August and NO it wouldn’t have washed away unless the water was flowing and it is not a river. Wouldn’t it have been great if LE would have responded to Kronks calls but in a perferct world, Casey would have reported her daughter missing the second she went “missing”, Casey would not have lied about EVERYTHING and CASEY and HER FAMILY would not have played the runaround game with everyone. Roy Kronk was never named by Casey as the person who had Caylee. Roy Kronks car did not have the smell of death. To infer that he was somehow responsible for her death because he found her, when there is nothing connecting him to Casey or the Anthonys is a travesty. Tell me what solid evidence there is against him other than paid statements from exes. Just because he found something in August(since no one responded we don’t know what it was) and found the remains in December is not enough for me to think he should be blamed or is guilty of killing Caylee. I want the truth as many others do and I want justice for Caylee ONLY. Until all the evidence comes out at trial, I don’t put anything past anyone. But I sure won’t blame everyone. JMHO
Personal attacks against people who want honest discussion, people hoping for the truth is childish. I attack no one personally. Everyone is entitled to their opinion and thoughts and feelings. Personal attacks about what I or anyone else thinks, feels or says only adds to the tragedy that surrounds this case and is unnecessary. Most of the people leaving comments don’t even know each other therefore nothing should be personal. Common courtesy, once lost, demeans us all. How great that we live in a country that we can have discussions and voice opinions.
It was obvious to me what the LE was doing when they released the massive amount of info in this case. It was also outreageous that so much was released and said by “sources close to the investigation”. LE made their decision on who killed this child shortly after they went missing and they were bound and determined to convince everyone else of it. What real evidence do they have? Next to none – hence their campaign to convict her in the court of public opinion.
I don’t know who did this horrible thing. I just want to see the right person brought to justice.

#8 Noni, I agree and the one searcher I believe he was a man who is standing with the prosecution can’t explain why Kronk called the police 3 times in August to then find poor Caylee’s remains in December.
He too searched the area and said there were no remains there in July, August, the first part of September and all of November, he stands by the other searchers that Kronk could not have seen anything in August. This searcher is convinced Casey killed her daughter and then the family hid the body and then placed it where Kronk went some time between Thanksgiving last year and the first part of December where Kronk then found the remains.
When interviewed this searcher had no answer as to why so many searchers, including him, have all said it just did not happen the way Kronk said it did.. so what did Kronk see in August???
Who’s attacking? I’m not. Sounds to me like maybe you are the one wanting to fight? If so, that’s not what we do here. We are a group of women who read the papers posted on the case’s we are following and come to our own conclusions and opinions. Then we discuss them. The articles here are meant to be thought provoking and ask questions that you may not see on the “news.” We don’t just latch on to one thing and run with it. We certainly don’t tell other’s their opinion is wrong. You don’t even know what my opinion is yet you come in and make statements like “Helllllloooooo people!” and “F the rest!!!” sorry, but to most of us that looks like an attack on us because we may not share the same opinion. Everyone of us on this site has been attacked repeatedly over the last 2 plus years because we happen to think a certain person in a different case we follow, murdered no one. I happen to think that Casey is either directly responsible for the death of her or was at the very very least involved somehow. The questions about Mr. K. are legitimate questions that no one seems to be asking. There is something that is just not right with the whole Mr. K. thing. I’m not sure what it is but I am glad that the police are finally asking a few questions about it. I don’t care who is responsible for little Caylee’s death as long as the correct person or person’s are found and help responsible.

Thank you for doing a good story about me, you have almost nailed whoever wrote this story. Sgt Allen cant get rid of my videos I have them eles where In a safe keeping. I was prepared for this day. This seems like a nice blog, I also like daves blog as well. Those other to lieing searchers are from scared monkeys blog.They never sign up with equsearch. They have both been in my rooms on chatango Trying to get info where is was searching and what I saw or smell ect…. I have there IP numbers LE has it as well. They are Just trying to get the 15 sec of shame. She has no photos of where the body was found. She took the phots somewhere eles. Or she went there and took them after Caylee was found and changed the dates. To be honest with you I rather be on The States Side in which is Justice 4 Caylee. I dont like how the defn show up at my house numerous times without caliing or anything. I will see what happens next. Are you saying that the two additional searchers did not search with EquSearch at any time? Are you saying that they are lying about searching to get their “15 minutes”? Interesting. I don’t know why anyone would want to stick their nose into something like this is they have truly had no part in it. It must be a sick mind that would do that. Anyway, thanks for being honest and standing up for what is right even though it may not be the “popular” consenseus. Little Caylee was finally laid to rest in peace and I look forward for the person or person’s responsible to see justice one day.
remember Florida has the sunshine law that makes it open to the press when discovery items are released. The LE went before the courts to have it closed and Casey attorney said NO.. He had his chance to stop the reports being sent to the news media and then it came to bite him in the A##
If I remember correctly the States Attorney wanted to muzzle what the defense team released. So no he did not have chance to stop it. That has nothing to do with the sunshine laws. Someone says something and it becomes the truth on the internet. I hope we have not become so jaded that we would think someone should die in our names for anything less than proof beyond a doubt at trial rather than proof on the internet.
ray – the defense attorney Casey has now came after much info and innuendo was released by LE. I believe what he was objecting to was releasing all of the “jail house visits” tapes but it would have hurt their case if he could not refute LE’s already released info such as the hair strand, implied “odor” evidence, etc. This is a tough case for a defense attorney to handle (especially since he was not on the case from the get-go).
I think it is shameful what LE did in the beginning of this case by releasing the mountains of often incorrect/impied info they did. The did NOT have to do it that way (look at Haleigh’s case). It was a strategic move on their part because they did NOT have enough reliable evidence to prove she actually killed her daughter.
I also think LE’s attacks on her defense lawyer have been shoddy and shameful prosecution tactics at the least. Either you have a case against someone or you don’t. It is that simple. Many cases have been delayed for years until the prosecution had enough proof to bring it to trial. This case became a national case very quickly and (IMO) the pressure was on to charge her with the murder of Caylee. I believe their actions will hurt them in the end unless they have enough jurors who feel the way most people seem to feel at this point (another tactic on their part). Go to almost every board that discusses this case and you will find people using the “death hair band” evidence, the “death odor” evidence and the “chloroform” evidence to back up their belief that the case has been proven against Casey. Most people do not take the time to investigate on their own what all of LE implied as evidence is mostly hogwash! Ahhh, but since LE said it, it must be true! Someday people will wake up and realize that everything that is stated by LE is not necessarily the whole truth!
Was she a wonderful mother? I do not believe so. Did she do this? Very possibly. Have they proved it to me at this point? No. I await the trial and hope LE does not go into it with the same dog and pony show they have used up to this point.
And YES, the actions of Kronk need to be throughly investigated! Something does not add up in his actions and in LE’s actions concerning him.
Of course, this is just my viewpoint. I truly want the whole story to come out and the right person to be prosecuted for the death of this dear little child. If it is Casey, fine, prove it with real facts and evidence, not just because LE thinks she did it and is willing to bend, create and mislead the public on what is evidence!

By the same token – what SOLID EVIDENCE is there against Casey? The biggest red flag is her not reporting Caylee missing. Sadly, that is not SOLID EVIDENCE that she killed her daughter. There are many other scenarios that could be an answer to that. She many have left Caylee in the car, she may have left Caylee with someone she did not know very well, etc. She may have gone into a psycho-tramatic state of denial when she could not find her daughter. Is that SOLID EVIDENCE? No. Wrong? Yes! Hard to believe? Yes! Suspicious? Yes! Solid Evidence? No!
Don’t even bring up the “Death Hair Band”. I can show you articles that have other answers for the banding. The “Chloroform” in the trunk area? I can direct you to many other reasons for that being elevated in a closed car, especially after it had been cleaned by Cindy. Most cars have traces of Chloroform in them if they are a later model .The “death odor”? I can direct you to the person who is leading the research into trying to come up with a way to collect that evidence to one day use in court cases. He admits they have not perfected the process. None of that “evidence” is SOLID EVIDENCE, especially when it reaches a courtroom.

Remember, all the defense has to show is that there was another plausible scenario where someone else was responsible for the death of Caylee. i.e. Casey left Caylee in her car and someone took her with them and killed her. If the defense can show that was a possibility and have a possible suspect that could have done it she should not be found guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
OK, I will go back to my normal lurking position. I don’t post a great deal but this case has my dander up because of the way LE has handled it.
Funny thing is…. I don’t see where anyone has “infered” that Kronk was responsible because he “found the body.”
I look at Scott Peterson’s case and they had less to put him away then they have on Casy. Smoke and mirror’s is what this case is gong to come to.

I agree with you and I can see her getting convicted, (found guilty).
I do not however think that the jury will vote for the DP. It is the State of Florida, not CA. Then again being it was a small child, so I am not so sure what they would do in the sentencing stage of the trial. Personally I do not think she did it on purpose, but I do think her actions led to the child’s death. Young or not, the cover-up, the partying, the tatoos, the taking the cops all the way to where she said she worked… She honestly does not act quite right mentally.
The similarities are: ALL OF THE LYING that S. Peterson and C. Anthony did to the authorities.
This and the way they both ACTED AFTER, public opinon be damned… they are both guilty of having part in a person’s death imo…
I think she did kill little Caylee but the deal with the Kronk guy is fishy. There is something to it. I don’t know what it is but there are to many people saying that area was searched on more than one occassion by more than one person and that at those times there was no body there. Casey was already in jail at those times also so we know she couldn’t have ran in and put the body there. I will keep searching out the facts and details and hopefully we will be hearing a little more about this part of the story in the weeks and months to come.

From what I have seen on how Casey’s brother reacts to everything… I just wonder how much or what he would do for her.
The way he kept saying CMA… at the funeral was surely not quite right either imo… Weird, and disfunctional that family seems to me.

Casey is not innocent by all means IMO, just wonder what else will come out about the other family members?
I think Kronk wanted the reward, strange acting or not… I do not think he had anything to do with the child except finding her.

No one can dispute the scientific evidence the prosecution has proving the body was there. Casey Anthony is guilty as sin and it will be proven.
Her dad, mom, and brother have lied for her continuously and continue to do so. I hope they air the trial on Court TV, I would love to see
these people cross examined. My goal is to see Casey pay for what she (in my opinion) did to her child. Also, how many times did she give
this poor child chloroform to put her out so she could party? I wonder. She is definitely narcisstic, as are a high percent of those who
commit pre-meditated murders.

Like I said I believe Casey killed Caylee… but there is a lot more to this story that we don’t know about yet. Some strange things….
Rose Turner, you have misquoted what Laura Buchanan said in her statement regarding # 6. She said, “I personally searched near the privacy fence and worked towards and then beyond the spot where the body was found.” It’s the word *BEYOND* that you omitted, and in doing so you are misleading your readers and the public and implying that L. Buchanan searched the actual spot where Caylee’s remains were found. We know that that area was under at least 1 3/4 feet of water, Caylee was not a “whole body”, but a dismembered skeleton that was strewn across a fairly large area in those woods. I find it very odd that neither of these two searchers made any statement about standing water or dry land. L. Buchanan only gave her *opinion*, which in turn is just that and means nothing in the grand scheme of things. These statements are once again to place doubt and will be proven false as we know that Tim Miller was searching with LE at his side and there are photos, both from ground view and aerial shots that show standing water in that area. But my main point of my post is to ask you, when quoting what people have said or taking information from discovery, to use the exact quote, proof read what you have written before submitting your articles. Let’s stick to the facts, as we all know there are way too many “mistruths” involved in this case already, why add more?

Joy Wray will be eaten alive on the stand, if she even makes it that far! She couldn’t possibly have been in the same spot where Caylee was found, it was UNDER WATER! As proven time and time again. There was no body to look for. Caylee had already been ripped apart by scavengers month before this, and was scattered all throughout those woods. There would not have been anything left of her to smell, as she was fully skeletonized in under 2 weeks, as stated by the M.E.
The evidence will prove that KC ONLY put her there, and that she ONLY is involved. I just wish this trial would start already, so this circus can end, and the people who had the misfortune to be in KC’s life can forget they ever knew her. These idiots on the defense have not a moral bone in their body, to be shifting the blame to everyone but their client. I am soo glad that not one of them is in my family! I wouldn’t have an ounce of respect for any of them! They make my skin crawl!

We always want the TRUE FACTS no matter what they say or which way they point. Until we were given the correct site to get the ACTUAL papers from FL., we weren’t able to get the ACTUAL papers as they came out. We always want the REAL court papers involved and we don’t follow cases were we can’t them. The other papers we have on this particular case were put out by the media under the “Sunshine Act”, (I believe that is the correct name). That’s how we got those. So, thank you Tupelohoney for providing us with the correct link to access the papes.

Something I have never gotten and I could be wrong about it but wasn’t that area searched immedietly for little Caylee once it was discovered that she was missing? That would have been before the water and wasn’t she found just 20ft from the road?
Noni # 16 Jose Baez was Casey’s attorney of record within 14 hours of her arrest. Mr. Baez entered his Notice of Appearance at the downtown Orlando courthouse and the original document is shown as clocked in at the courthouse around 3:45 p.m. Most likely the fact that Casey was originally charged with child neglect and giving false statements to LE, it never occurred to him to file a motion for a gag order at that time. As more and more info was released regarding the findings from LE, Mr. Baez still did not ask for a gag order and he never did, even when the State asked for one and it was denied in Court in November 2008. Cindy Anthony was against the gag order as well. IMO, they were against it because that would have prohibited them from monetary gain as they would no longer be able to hit the media circuit which paid them “licensing fees”. Now one could also argue that they just wanted to dispute the discovery findings, but had they asked for a gag order shortly after this all began, and it was granted, there would be no need to publicly dispute the findings, as they wouldn’t have been released and they would have had to wait for trial to do so. So I do strongly feel they didn’t want the gag order due to financial gain as top priority.
As far as evidence…..the rare duct tape found in the Anthony home was also found on the mouth and nose area of Caylee’s skull. Human decomposition found in Casey’s trunk along with adipocere found on napkins in Casey’s trunk and entomology reports showing coffin flies in her trunk, along with eyewitness accounts the flies were there from George Anthony and Simon Burch, the tow yard guy. Text messages from Casey to Amy discussing the smell of her car and that she got rid of it, (Also sworn statements from George and Tony how Casey would not let them near her trunk) coincide with the timeline of Caylee’s disappearance. Reports on the plant life found growing through Caylee’s skeletal remains fit the timeline as well. Not to mention the laundry hamper, trash bags and the Winnie the Pooh blanket that all came from the Anthony home. So there is much more than just the death band hair, the air tests and the chloroform (although, who researches how to make chloroform, neck breaking and household weapons anyway?). What we should be seeing very soon is a motion asking for a Frye hearing. This is a hearing that determines if these scientific tests and findings are reliable, so that they can be used during the trial or not.
Tupelohoney, Thank you for the links, the article has been corrected and I have also quoted Mr. Jordan’s statement followed by a couple of questions about what kind and what are they trained to do in regards to the dogs that searched in that area. We always welcome links by any poster that will allow us access to the actual documents and not what some media quotes, which is often as in this situation not complete.

I don’t understand the statements about “the way LE has handled this case”…How else would you have handled this case if you had a mother who NEVER reported her child missing; remember it was CA who ultimately did that; a mother who took you on a scenic tour of Universal & then admitted she hadn’t worked there for quite some time, partied under the guise of “doing her own investigating”, and on and on…There are some very specific things that have been connected to her car, to her house, to the garage, to the shed… KC was not charged with homicide until 3 months after the fact, after GA testified for the GJ, and after specific evidence had come back from testing. And there are no “leaks” from LE! Everything released to date has been done so under THE SUNSHINE LAWS in Fla. They are obligated to do so!
Puhleeze, think about it…Who else could have possibly had any reason to hurt this baby, other than her selfish mother, for her own selfish reasons? She left that baby to rot in those woods so the evidence would be gone, hoping she would never be found! Kronk may have been a jerk as a husband, but the only thing he is guilty of is wanting to find this baby, just like every other searcher who searched, and maybe wanting to cash in on the reward. If you look at Baez’s “prior bad acts”, he also could fit the bill as to who may have killed Caylee. But it’s just as ridiculous as saying Kronk could be the one.
IMO, CA directed DC to those woods, after figuring out the “clues” KC was giving, or maybe KC finally admitted where she was. And I firmly believe had DC found the remains that day, Caylee would still be “missing”, for they would have been hidden or disposed of permanently!
You can stick to your conspiracy theories all you want, but please, get the facts straight for the people who haven’t followed this case as close as some of us have. You’re only doing an injustice for Caylee by not doing so!

You can debate the case all day here, but we really encourage if you don’t feel you can do that without attacking other posters or witnesses then there is a site called Topix that is the free for all it appears you are looking for. Did any of the media including Scared Monkey ever know any of these ppl? One of the things we try to point out is sensationalism for those illusive advertising dollars. We don’t have ads for that reason and if it is a federal case we buy all of the papers ourselves so we are never accused of being biased. We keep an open mind here and hope our new posters will do that also.
I thought the tape found still bound on Caylee’s body was a very common kind? That’s the first I have heard that it was rare but in all honestly I have not followed this case to date to closely because we didn’t have access to the real court papers other than what the media has released. I do believe Casey killed little Caylee but I also believe there is a lot more to the story and possibly other people involved.

Thank you for putting the facts into your article. Most people just want the truth about this case, which takes us in many directions. There is so much information that it’s really a task to keep it all straight. That is why I rely on discovery.

Yes, I do feel that 12 unbiased jurors will be selected for this case. I think they will come from outside of Orange County, though. Believe it or not, not everyone follows this case. I live on the west coast of Central Florida, and the coverage here is at a minimum. So unless one is addicted to this case, as I am, LOL, one may have heard of this case, but not necessarily followed everything about it. People are leaving the state of Florida at a high rate due to the economy. And of course, new people will be moving in, which IMO, is the reason why the defense team makes appearances on national TV. I have faith in our judicial system and I feel Casey Anthony’s trial will be held in front of an unbiased jury panel.

This site was started simply to follow multiple federal court cases, appellate cases, cases in another country, and some state cases where the facts did not add up to “premeditated murder”…. all of those cases excect for 3 are now over and most of those will happen early next year…we gave our word to cover all of those cases to the conclusion but we now need some new and interesting cases to follow where we can get the legal papers
I have been asked by many old members here like oldlady and others to follow the Caylee case since we could get the papers, and I think we are all in agreement since court papers are there for us we will follow this case, or at least that is what our newest poll reflects what the readers want.
I have some real catching up to do to even discuss this case based on the paper trail and not spin…

Re posts #4 The body was triple bagged so no odour and post #26 the body was strewn over a large area and not in bag. Standing water etc.
Why all the kerfuffle about the searchers opinions? Either a body was there or not
So was the body dumped and then covered by water or was the body not there and was placed there at a later date? If body was moved then an accomplice or another killer?

Stat. 921.141(5)(h) and/or the Standard (5)(h) Jury Instruction Unconstitutional Facially and as Applied…… this pdf is the updated (2009) instructions for a DP Jury in Florida. The document includes the latest Florida Supreme Court rulings on recommendations made for changes in the law. It is a good reference for where the defense team is going with their motion and there is a reference in the document that indicates that it is anticipated that the Florida DP could very well be challenged at the U.S.Supreme Court level.

what makes the duct tape rare (based on what I read) is that it is a commercial type, hard to get, and not available to the general public. I’m not sure if it is still being made. It is presumed that George got the tape from one of the many places he worked security(not confirmed)
As far as Joy Wray, you do know that she has been Baker Acted 5 times right? This comes from the docstop post of the police reports and her interview. IMO, she may be a wonderful person, however she is more than a little obsessed with the Anthony’s. There are some posts I found recently that imply she took her laptop to a store and asked to have some files removed. There are also allegations that the dates on photos had been altered. The tech called the police to notify them of the request to alter her hard drive.
Joy’s information needs to be taken for what it is. She is happily trying to insert herself into this case IMO. She has mental health issues, and that needs to be taken into consideration. And before anyone gets upset that I make this comment, I have been suffering with mental health issues for many years(disabling major depression). Medication helps me, and hopefully Joy will find some that works for her issues. Being Baker acted that many times is a fairly clear sign that she needs some sort of help.
What is a Baker Act? Why was it used 5 times?

#55 Heath, Baker Acted means that she was put into a mental hospital for evaluation on her mental health.
George Anthony was Baker Acted when He tried to commit suicide. He had to stay ( I think) 72 hours before he could be released.

OMG Im going to be sick , I mean really sick…… I have talked to Joy for the last year and a half about everything……. What I got from talking to her is that she has personality issues, i thought maybe her attaching herself to this case was some type of mental situation and at times I felt very bad for the critisism she would get online I think I am possible the closest person to Joy at this moment, I let her tell me whatever she wants just to hear what she has to say without being mean to her or judging her, all this time I have just felt sorry for her…. Joy made me aware of these pictures back in Jan. 09 , she told me on the phone point blank she had pictures of that area, not at anytime in the last year and half that i have talked to her has she ever said anything about a video and trust me Ive made sure to keep contact with her and keep questions going about what she is saying…….The last time I talked to Joy would have been about 3 days ago , she messaged me to call her as soon as possible …… she stated that LE wanted to see her laptop so she took her laptop to bestbuy to have the harddrive fixed but the man working on her laptop saw pictures of the anthony case and called police on her…. he also told police that she asked to have certain files deleted off her laptop ( her reasons for wanted things deleted to me was because her hubby goes to sex web sites ) but I do believe now she wanted something deleted off that computer. She also told me she was scared that she would get into trouble with LE because some of the dates on the photos had been changed. This was 3 days ago when she told me this , after this conversation I decided to no longer speak with Joy until I knew what was actually going on , she has called my phone numerous times in the last 3 days.

As for Joy, I think her records speak for herself. If this is true, about the comment made by Jess regarding Joy trying to delete files from her computer, then the defense is dumber than I thought. She is bragging all over her youtube that she is the secret witness, claiming she has pictures proving Caylee was not there when she searched. I can only hope and pray that they have put all their eggs in this one basket!

Yes, Rose, most Monkeys have been on this case since day 1, well day 31, and we have read every scrap of evidence we can find. There truly is a mountain of evidence against KC, and yes, a lot of it is circumstantial. But when you put it all together, and put it with the forensics, it all leads back to just one person.
I have an open mind, but after reading with my own eyes, have come to the same conclusion that many others have. That only one person is responsible for this. No matter what the defense tries to do to sway potential jurors minds, it will all come back to the same person in the end. And that person is Casey Anthony! I think that after your readers are able to read the documents for themselves, they also will have that same conclusion.
Thank you again for taking the time to gather all the facts! Also, the site that tupelohoney left you for thehinkymeter, there’s an awful lot of research done by this woman, and it’s put in simple terms. There’s also a rain chart done for the actual amount of water that happened in that area during the searches, proving that Caylee was under water, and that the area couldn’t be searched.
Rose I looked up baker acted on google the first time it was mentioned LOL I too Hope these posters stay and keep us up to date on this case But I think some need to keep an open mind and wait for things to come out . A truly bizarre case to say the least sort of like the mother who drowned her children in a vehical a few years ago.

# 54 two to go ~ The fire resistant duck tape was sold to the public in stores like Lowe’s and Ace Hardware, etc, but Lowe’s had the biggest sales. I believe that in his statement George couldn’t recall where he bought the tape.
Rose ~ I agree, child cases are very difficult to deal with, and it’s even harder to comprehend when the death was/is allegedly caused by that child’s own parent, the people that these little ones fully trust and love with all their being. What piqued my initial interest in Caylee’s case was the fact that her mother claimed she had been kidnapped and never reported it! OMG, what kind of mother does that? Then the stories started to unfold, with each one being disproved almost immediately. I have to see this case through to the end, I have to read every bit of discovery there is and I will watch the trial in full. I don’t expect to know the whole truth to this sad event because only one person knows what the truth is and it appears she will always keep that to herself. I just pray that there will be justice for Caylee in the end.

Is that like in Texas when a judge court orders an in patient pscy. and can hold you for 72 hours at time with going before the judge at the end of that time and seeing if lawyers have enough to hold you longer? Or is Baker Acted a voluntary evaluation?

Hi, I am new to your site. I post along with Tupelohoney at SM. I also have followed Joy on her chat site. Joy has inserted herself into this case and says that George and Cindy are her kids Godparents. On her chat site she signs in as George and as Cindy and talks like she is them. Joy stands a very good chance of being thrown under the bus by Jose and Co. She has put herself at the site where the remains were found on more than one occasion. And does not have enough sense to know she could get herself into big trouble. There would have been no smell or body to be seen in August. With the heat in Florida at the time of June and July complete decomposition would have taken place within a couple of weeks. If you are interested just google “The Body Farm”. It will explain how fast a body decomposes in the heat especially after having been in the trunk of a car for several days.
Heath ~ you would have to search records to find the info you are asking for. I had looked at her arrest records sometime back from Pinellas County and Orange County Fl. and did see mention of her being ordered for mental evaluation. However, due to the HIPPA laws, I don’t know if you will be able to obtain those medical records. Her name is Joy Roseann Maggard Wray. Happy hunting!

I have NO problem with the current new posters. They have been intellegent and respectful of other members. It’s the one’s who are coming here for the single purpose of cause friction in one form or another. I don’t know if it is anyone that has posted with these ladies in the past or not. I can tell you that so far none of the IP’s match with any of the people who are now posting here on a regular basis. I am enjoying reading the post of the people like Tupelo (hope you don’t mind me condensing your nick there). It is a refreshing look at some things. Like the duct tape. I had no idea that it was actual a rare kind. I thought it had been reported that it was a very common kind of tape. Now that we have a way to access the actual court documents without the media being involved, I will be digging further into this as I have the time.
You know me, anyone is welcome to post here without censorship unless they don’t follow the TOS. We stick to that as much as possible because of the past interactions with some other’s that have gone above and beyond to out innocent bloggers because their opinion is different. #87 Roxanne ~ You made mention of the duck tape, thinking is was a common kind. Most likely you read that in a news article. You will find that the defense team goes on national TV either right before or just after a document dump, as we call them. While on these shows, they have almost always disputed what is said in the reports. (I guess that is part of defending their client.) Brad Conway, Cindy and George Anthony’s attorney, had actually gone on national TV and said there was no duct tape on Caylee’s skull BEFORE the documents were released to the public the next day! (I really can’t figure out why he has inserted himself by talking about doc releases, since he is not a part of defending Casey in anyway, but he has.) So anyway, once they go on TV, the news sources have a write up about what they said. So this is why it is best to read the actual documents and then take the news articles with a grain of salt. News sites are in it for ratings, which equals money for them and they will print anything, whether it is factual or not. The other thing that I feel is important to relay when reading reports from discovery, you must pay attention to the dates of the reports from the FBI and so on. Dates early on in this case are preliminary reports, with much more testing to be done at later dates. You will see the result to further testing as time goes on. And we have not see too many “final” reports yet either. I have a feeling those will come up during the trial.
Reading interviews with Casey’s friends and neighbors or anyone else involved are important to know how things fit into the timeline from when Caylee went missing until she was reported missing by Cindy. And also to get a better idea of who Casey Anthony is. You will find that everyone interviewed who knew Casey said she was a great mother, but on the other hand, they don’t tell the same story about Casey herself. So read everything you can so you can get a fuller picture of what is.
Also, if you are interested in the civil case with Zenaida Gonzales, you can go to ZG’s lawyers site and watch the depositions with Lee, George and Cindy and find out any information regarding that case. http://www.forthepeople.com/ But I must warn you, Cindy and George’s depos are not pretty to watch.

Believe me, I know not to take the news media to heart in everything they say. The whole reason this site started was because a bunch of women was keeping up with the Anna Nicole Smith saga after her son Daniel died. The original site owner changed her opinion on things as did some of her posters and it became a hostile place to post if you supported that Howard K. Stern did not murder Daniel. Then Anna Nicole died and it just grew and grew. We have always followed that story because we have had access since day 1 to the real court documents. Our site owner and some of our former posters have actaully had the unfortunate luck of being dragged into the Anna Nicole saga in a Tx. court and are being sued by Virgie Arthur, Anna’s mother. It’s crazy.
I do look forward to catching up on the Casey Anthony case now that we have access to those documents. It’s a mountain though. I would hope that yourself or maybe one of the other new posters, who seem to be well versed in this case, would agree to do a series of “catch up” articles on this case for those of us here who haven’t been able to follow it for a year.

I am about to put up a new Casey Anthony Discussion thread since this one is at the bottom of the page so we can move on with this case which has really caught the attention of a lot of posters on this site..

First of all, I did follow this case from the beginning. Long before Baez became Casey’s attorney the protesters were out in front of her house calling her a murderer (even when she wasn’t there). Baez was not her attorney from the beginning and I stick to what I said before: “the defense attorney Casey has now came after much info and innuendo was released by LE.” I said this in response to ray’s comment (and now other’s) about putting Baez down because he had a chance to request a gag order and did not do it. Since so much info in this case was released early on by “sources close to the investigation” he would not have had the ability to do some damage control to all of that prior released stuff if he had requested the gag order. It was important to her defense that he be able to address those often misleading statements.
I am very upset with how LE handled this case and the info they wanted to get in the public eye before this case was fully investigated! All of what was done was NOT done under the Sunshine Act (the “sources close to the investigation” info was not info originally filed in the courts). I think it is important that people who have not followed this case from the beginning know how the public was swayed by those tactics and the comments made back then!
Take a look at the Haleigh Cummings case. See the difference? I have been on MSG boards where people are screaming for LE to put out info like they did in the Caylee Anthony case. That law enforcement agency has chose not to put out info from “sources close to the investigation and create that same type of situation.
If you read my posting (16 ) I stated that I believed that most likely Casey did do this crime but I am not 100% convinced with the ACTUAL evidence that has been released to date. I look forward to the trial.
Early in this case it was stated that the duct tape was a commonly sold tape IN THAT AREA.
I saw this same kind of emotionally charged posting during the Scott Peterson case. I wish that LE would not feed the flames with their “sources close to the investigation” comments and innuendo. As I stated earlier, either you have a provable case or you don’t. It is not necessary to do it that way and only creates volatile situations like what happened with the protesters in front of the Anthony’s home. It is a good thing lynch mobs were outlawed!

Noni, I’m not too sure how to respond to your comment. The difference between the Casey Anthony case and the Haleigh Cummings case is there was an arrest in the Anthony case, therefore, all records became public under the Sunshine Laws. There is no information in the Haleigh case because no one has been arrested, therefore, no discovery.
I am fully aware of the protesters out front of the house before KC was arrested. Baez became her attorney after she was charged with the economic charges, long before she was charged with murder. It’s all public record. Tupelo stated in an earlier post the date when he climbed aboard.
As far as “leaks close to the investigation”…Not one person from LE has said one single word, other than “we’re not going to try this case outside of the courtroom”. Baez, along with C & GA argued against a gag order! They didn’t want it. If they had, there wouldn’t have been anything released until trial, so there would have been no reason to dispute anything. Why would he need to do damage control in the public anyway? Shouldn’t that be done at trial, with a jury? LE has never came out with a statement of “sources close to the investigation”, that has come from news articles, so I take that for what it’s worth.
Have you read the coffin flies report? How bout the laundry bag, the duck tape, the chloroform searching on the computer, the decomp in the backyard, her car,…. The duck tape, after further forensic testing, is said to be rare duck tape, only sold during a certain time, and has since been discontinued, IIRC. What are the chances of GA having the same rare duck tape on his gas can, in his shed? Or how about the same rare duck tape that was on the Caylee posters?
I’m sorry, but these are the facts of this case, and I think I’ll stick to reading and posting on Monkeys. It’s just too much info to be going back over now. You are certainly entitled to your opinion on how LE has handled the information, but as far as the law goes, they have released it because they are required to do so. I just don’t have the desire to be trying to set the records straight, when all the documents are there for you to read yourself. I’m sure that Tupelo will be a huge help to you all.

Noni I read that on the Exhibit A I listed last night it was in a narrative by a deputy Steven Rojas listed at the bottom of it “This report is for information only.”
Someone also posted a link to a county site that showed sealed letters considering this in some pending traffic violations for Ms. Wray, I will look for the link again..
I suppose it is frustrating trying to put a case to a Blog with backup links etc to support your information. But that is what happens in a trial is it not. Start from nothing and build the case. Use evidence that is clear and supported.
Most people are not as up to speed and will look at the case with fresh eyes, I think this is a good thing.

I guess when it’s new to someone though, that it’s very easy to be confused. Wow this blog has been almost just as hateful as scared Monkeys among others! None of you know the whole facts to the case. As for as me is concern some of just need to butt out! None of of this really concerns you, if you help search for Caylee in the woods it may have. Joe and laura are from a fourm Called Scared Monkeys, I have both of there ip Numbers they where trying to get info where I was Searching,, BLAAH. They might of been part of eqqsearch but I spoke with Someone from Eqqusearch on mondaytld me they where not assign to that area, they had issues with them! They are part of this grouppie that is obsive over Caylee Marie Anthony. Anyone that is contact with Scared Monkeys is really out there! We are already questioning why he is changing his story now. Why are you posting around the blogs that it is them that has changed dates on the pictures they supposedly took? Why is someone from The Caylee Daily saying that you took your computer and asked them to erase your hard drive? I really hope this isn’t what you have done! You could very well be in a huge amount of trouble IMO if you did!
Have you ever once considered the fact that maybe Baez plans on using YOU as the next possible killer? You’re the one saying you have been to the remains site more than once, that you have pictures, that you have video. Why are you saying that Baez paid these two people to say what they’re saying about Kronk? We admittedly haven’t followed this case closely until now. It will take us a little bit to get up to speed. We don’t care which way the TRUE facts point. We just want the truth so we can make our own opinion. I’m sure it is not easy to read people talking about you and saying things about you. You are part of this, at least for now, and your video, I’m sure, will be put through the ringer and studied by more than a few experts. I have been up in the branches ( as you monkeys call it) ever since this story broke and read there every day. That is the most informative and accurate site for any of the missing or murdered children. It breaks my heart to see what has happened to all these children and like to read what is happening to get justice for all these children. I’ve gone blind from all the reading and was wondering if anyone can find info about fingerprint evidence. There are three types of testing for verifying evidence. Plastic, Visual and latent. Everything I have read from the docs talks only about latent fingerprint testing. Does anyone have a link to the other types, if there is any, from what’s been released so far?
