Roy Kronk– Abusive Husband and Bragged to Son a Month before he found Caylee Anthony’s Body

New questions that we posed first here on Rose Speaks.com have finally come to light in filings on Thursday, November 19, 2009.
Roy Kronk, an ex-meter reader now, is said to have been very abusive to all three of his ex-wives and used duct tape on at least one of his ex-wives, Jill Kerley.
Kronk began his deposition on Thursday and late that afternoon the Motion, Memorandum of Law and a stunningly large amount of evidence against Kronk was filed by Casey Anthony’s defense team.
We here at Rose Speaks.com have always had questions about Kronk but investigators hang on to the fact that Kronk was “cleared by them and was a hero”. Remember it was Kronk who called 911 three times in August 2008, saying he saw something suspicious in the woods off Suburban Drive. When police did not pick up what is now being said was Kronk allegedly wanting the police to find Caylee’s body in August and when they did not, Kronk went back in December and found the body himself at the same place he said it was in August.
Roy Kronk’s son, Brandon, perhaps dropped the largest and most chilling bombshell against his father. Brandon’s mother said Kronk told Brandon two weeks before Thanksgiving and one month before making what is known as his forth visit to the scene where Caylee’s decomposed body was found, that “he, [Kronk], was going to be a hero on TV,” saying to his son Brandon” I know where Caylee is and I’m going to go get her.”
One of Roy Kronk’s ex-wives, Jill Kerley, who said they divorced after only four months, had the following exchange on a taped interview with Casey’s investigator, Mort Smith, which was released yesterday to the media.
Mort Smith: “When you learned Roy had found Caylee’s remains what went through your mind?”
Jill Kerley: “That he had done it”
Mort Smith: “Meaning?”
Jill Kerley: “He probably was the one who murdered Caylee Anthony or had something to do with it.”
.
Jill Kerly went on to say; “It was abusive — mentally and physically, he beat me up in front of his dad and I had to go the hospital. “The more I think about it, the more my gut tells me he had something to do with it,” Kerley said, “He, [Kronk], duct taped my hands one time.”
Jill Kerley: “He said it was 100 mph duct tape”
Mort Smith: “And how often did he duct tape you?”
Jill Kerley: “On two occasions.”
Crystal Sparks, another of Roy Kronk’s ex-wives, and the mother of Brandon, had this exchange with Casey’s investigator, Mort Smith. “I think there’s a lot of concern for Roy being around young girls. Roy is not heard from. Roy is not seen. Roy is just non-existent in our lives, which is great for us. He made threats. He made constant threats against me. It was not uncommon for him to say ‘I should have killed you when I had the chance.’ I heard that all the time.”
Casey Anthony’s attorneys are clearly trying to connect Kronk to duct tape found at the crime scene with Caylee’s remains. They further indicate in the Motion, Memorandum of Law and other evidence presented to the Court on Thursday, that Roy Kronk, “knew of the location of Caylee Anthony’s remains and indeed may have had possession or control of them in November 2008 Roy Kronk, and not Miss Anthony, is equally likely to be responsible for the death of Caylee Anthony.”
April Applegate Hensley who was 11 at the time her mother lived with Kronk has said he came into her bedroom to watch her undress and made her feel uneasy, in her interview with the investigators. No word yet on what the third ex-wife said, or if that interview was filed with Thursday’s Motion. Other highlights of the Motion filed on Thursday by Casey’s defense team says; “they have evidence Kronk has a possible history of inappropriate behavior with young girls; that he has used duct tape to restrain women and that he has a history of abusing and restraining women”.
David Evans, Kronk’s lawyer said after the first day of deposition with Kronk when asked; “Is there a suggestion that somehow your client is involved in Caylee Anthony’s death? No, no, no, no,” was Evans Answer.
After hearing about the Motion being filed by Anthony’s legal team, Kronk’s attorney David Evans issued a statement:
“Today, the Casey Anthony defense team commenced, but did not complete, the deposition of Roy Kronk in the State v. Casey Anthony case. Shortly after adjourning the deposition, the Anthony defense team filed a Motion, Memorandum of Law, and accompanying materials suggesting that Roy Kronk, the individual who found Caylee Anthony’s remains and repeatedly reported his find to law enforcement agencies, should be considered a suspect in the murder of Caylee Anthony.
Mr. Kronk is a witness, not a suspect. He voluntarily appeared today and truthfully responded to all questions asked by Anthony’s attorney. He has cooperated fully with law enforcement from Day One. He has nothing to hide, and has hidden nothing.
It is the nature of criminal defense to attempt to find someone to blame for a crime other than the person charged. Mr. Kronk has understood from the beginning that the defense might attempt to cast suspicions in his direction–because that’s what defense attorneys do. In their zeal to defend Casey Anthony, defense counsel has filed papers with the Court that are filled with allegations that have no basis in fact and falsely accuse Mr. Kronk of various types of bad behavior.
The State will respond to these papers in due course in the criminal proceedings. As for Mr. Kronk, he vehemently denies the allegations against him and is confident that he will be vindicated. In the meantime, as he stated early on in this case, no good deed goes unpunished.”
Do you agree this is an explosive development in the Caylee Anthony murder case? Do you think the police was too quick to say Kronk was not a suspect but was a hero? Why did Kronk continue to go back to the exact same spot to call police all four times? Is Brandon and what his dad told him going to become a major development in this case? Did obsessive Infotainment News like Nancy Grace, Geraldo Rivera and Greta Van Susteren all for ratings and advertising dollars cause the wrong person to be arrested? Will Roy Kronk show up for the rest of his deposition? Does Roy Kronk in your opinion need to keep a lawyer during depositions and interviews? What are the Las Vegas odds on Kronk going to the same place four times in five months, and find the remains of little Caylee on the fourth visit? Why was Roy Kronk fired?
Rose Speaks.com is in the process of putting up more interviews and documents as they become available and will keep them on the site until after this is over, whoever ends up going to trial. Remember to also visit Rose Speaks You tube channel for videos related to this case.

There is no way I will believe Roy Kronk had anything to do with Caylee death.NO WAY.He is getting torn apart for the exwife, 15min of fame.I do not care what Casey Attorney has to say,Casey took a full month(so her daughters body would decompose) to report her daughter missing, you cannot get past the party she was having while her daughter was (MISSING).If the childs body was moved my bet is on Cindy Anthony.I will tell you I am SICK to death of the Anthony family covering there own family dirty secrets, and blamming and destroying other lifes .Also, when Casey father,George wanted to get gas cans out of Casey car,she got upset,WHY,because of the smell,of Death,I have smelled that musty odor of death, and there is NO smell like it,sure not rotting pizza.
Casey Anthony’s Attorney is going to be on Jane Mitchell show on HLN tonight.
I think Roy Kronk kept going back to that spot because he knew he saw somthing that was not right. Remember that Deputy Richard Cain was fired after an internal investigation found his response to Roy Kronk’s phone calls in August to be negligent. Deputy Cain first said that he ripped open the plasitc bag that Mr Kronk pointed to and it contained leaves. Then several hours later Deputy Cain changed his story and admitted that he did NOT tear open any garbage bags and that he did NOT venture all the way into the woods.
You can bet one million dollars.that tonight Anthony’s Attorney will say,the family all got along, one big happy family, they have done nothing but LIE from day ONE.Casey would not tell the truth if her life depended on it,and believe me it does.Boy,I was getting so I wanted to strangle the whole family.Cindy reminds me so much of Vergie in her actions.my opinion Casey was jealous of her daughter and the attention she was getting,Cindy made Casey keep a child she did not want, and so to ease Cindy soul, she is blamingeveryone, that way she does not have to face her own guilt.
new article with big announcement on front page
Kronk”s ex-wives and son were not questioned under oath by the defense. And why didn’t the defense provide any proof of the allegations? Where are the police reports to support what they are now saying. And another thing why didn’t the defense question Mr Kronk about these things when they had him under oath for the depo?
Hard to say in this case cause Kronk seems I say seems as bad as Casy seems to be is everyone sure they did not know one another?
Beverly, you are so right about Kronk. He is just another person getting thrown under the bus by the defense team. These ex-wives
are not squeaky clean themselves. Check into and you will find Jill Kerley has a criminal past. Brandon is NOT Kronk’s son, he is a step-son.
What about Cindy sending her investigater to the scene to find the body before she was found. Casey did kill her daughter, and I hope she fries.
More distraction……..Kronk may have been divorced a few times but my god, look at the circumstantial evidence against casey. Waste of time following Kronk!
Roy Kronks work assignment was in that area, that is why he was at that spot to begin with!. This is nonsense; he had nothing to do with the murder
of that child. Where would he gotten her favorite book, blanket, etc. that was found with the body. Give me a break!!
That show last evening with Casey Anthoney’s Attorney on Jane Mitchell show was a disgrace,She looked like a fool,He did not answer one question that was put to him, except to sit there and talk about himself.and Kronk ex wife has a big mouth like Vergie Arthur, she actually acussed her former husband of murder,I quess every cow has a right to make money off of a death. But like Mike Brooks(formerFBI) said on another program, the police have checked him out long time ago,and would not fire a police officer if Kronk in any way,had anything to do with Calyee death,
I agree with Beverly too. It’s just sad that such kinds of things happen!
I know Roy Kronk & know that he had nothing to do with Kaylee’s murder. What the defense is doing to him is just as big a crime as Kaylee’s murder. They are murdering Roy’s reputation. Casey seems to be a very selfish woman. Mr Baez, shame on you for making false accusations about an innocent man. As for Kronk’s exwives. They are liars with their own personal motives. I’ve been hearing about how screwed up they are since before Kaylee even went missing. Crystal is a liar & cheater & Jill does have her own criminal issues. Roy has been with my own children & has never been even remotely inappropriate. This is a desperate womans attempt to avoid an inevitable date with a needle & a second rate attorneys attempt to become famous. I pray that when this is all over Roy will finally be left alone to live his life, Casey will be appropriatly sentenced & Mr. Baez becomes the laughing stock of his profession.
How convenient that Kronk worked (prowled) this neighborhood giving him the best opportunity to abduct a small child. He lingered in the woods regularly to urinate they said. Thats creepy in itself. He was insistent that he saw something 4 times, when Texas Equasearch couldnt find anything. Maybe the childs body was left for so long to keep DNA samples to a minimum. Now they say theres a needle with testosterone in it, what would Casey need with that? I just refuse to believe, no matter what lies Casey has told, that she murdered her own child. She has lied to cover up being neglectful, allowing Caylee to somehow fall into Kronks hands. Her family is another thing, I think George is the only one with a clear head. Cindy seems to lie like Casey, and Lee seems to take off to avoid involvement. Casey suffers from immaturity, and Cindy forcing her to have a child that she did not want, doesnt mean that Casey disposed of her. I think that Kronk has avoided scrutiny for long enough. He reminds me of an arsonist, returning again and again to the scene of the crime, and when he is not recognized as the hero , he makes sure that he eventually is in the spotlight.
In my opinion, Casey convicted herself. Mr. Baez in no way helped in any defense of her. I hope justice prevails here.
Sassymary you’re diluted – most men who work outside especially in residential areas urinate in a wooded areas. He couldn’t exactly ask one of the customers whose meter he’s reading to use their bathroom. It’s not creepy, it’s biology. He returned to that area when he was reassigned to it, not any time between. It bothered him that nothing was done to better search the area after his first call. It’s common knowledge that the officer who initially responded was fired as a result. As for Texas Equisearch when they searched that area it was COMPLETELY under water. As for the Syringe, Casey probably got that from a male friend. Testosterone would be found in steroids. Roy Kronk does not use steroids that can easily be proven by blood work. As for Casey’s bad behavior, she was out in clubs while her daughter was missing. Not the behavior of a loving concerned mother. Finally as for Casey’s family, they should have publicly thanked Roy, not dragged him through the mud. But that’s alright. God dosen’t like ugly & boy are they ugly.
Gabby, I am just saying that hes creepy, and may have an involvement in this! I think that the Police were too quick to file charges on Casey, there had to be someone else involved. Jesse or Kronk, perhaps. I guess the mother in me doesnt want to believe that anyone could murder and carry their childs body around in their car. Has Kronk been tested for steroids? Doubtful. They didnt have that “evidence” a year ago. Strange that it showed up recently, or the reports of it. I dont believe that cases should be based on air samples, or police dogs reactions. Years ago, I was in the military. The MPs regularly ran drug dogs through the barracks to detect drugs. The dog alerted to my locker and I was called in and read my rights. Seems no drugs were found, as I dont do that. But, I had a can of vienna sausage in the locker that I forgot was open and should have been thrown out. Dogs are dogs. They fail too. As for Caseys actions after the disappearance of Caylee. Shes young, she may have entrusted Kronk or “Jesse” with Caylee and felt footloose and fancy free. Who knows, I just cant believe that she would party if her daughter was dead by her own hand. I stand by my statement, the criminal always returns to the scene of the crime. Casey didnt, Kronk did… 4 times!
Casey entrusted Caylee to Kronk or Jesse yet all her text to Jesse had nothing whatsoever to do with Caylee? She brought her new BF over to meet Jesse during this time frame…did you read any of the documents in this case??? Kronk returned to the scene DOING HIS JOB…the job he had to pay his bills..not the job like Casey had to dump her child on babysittes, including but not limited to …parents. Lauren ( until she found out NO JOB) Jesse Grund and his parents ( no job then either) all under the guise of going to work. Guess she ran out of babysitters, and her need to feel footloose and fancy free required the elimination of her child. Read the documents, you will realize why Kronk nor Jesse are even remotely suspect in this case.
What is this? The Roy Kronk fan club?? I dont see how Casey is going to get a fair trial with the likes of people thinking as you do. She is presumed innocent until her trial. Kronk needs a 2nd or 3rd look. Theres something fishy with him, I dont care what you think!
Sassymary, Please explain how Casey was able to drive around in her car with a dead body in it and not know it? Please also explain why she said she spoke to her daughter on teh phone for a minute on JULY 15th.
You said in your previous post that criminals continue to revisit the crime scene. The crime scene is a few houses up from where Casey visited and *pillaged* every day. Do you not think she drove that way to go back to Tony’s? are you kidding me? What proof do you have that she too didn’t walk into the woods? Cell ping dont’ mean much if the distance is within a mile.
What phone records do we have connecting Kronk and Casey? Is Kronk now the Nanny?
Casey “suffers” from immaturity? You talk as if it’s a mental condition and not a clear choice.
Sassymary and Forsaken maybe you should read the new article about this case. Many questions to be answered yet weather it be Casey or Kronk. Then I remember another man who is now deceased whom everyone including the FBI thought was guilty of making a bomb and was later proved innocent ,after his reputation and his family was destroyed. And also a case now ongoing where someone is being tried in the public instead of a court of law and has a conspirecy by mazny against him
To me there is nothing fishy about Kronk,or any boyfriend,or any supposed nanny.to me it is a mother/daughter fight to the finish and the finish happens to be Caylee death.Cindy did force Casey to keep her baby girl, while Casey wanted to give her up for adoption.Casey loved to party and have good times, she did not want a child, and she.MY OPINION felt the child was in the way.I do believe I read,Cindy and George wanted Casey to move, well, now,Casey got a child she never grew to love, only a child in the way.Cindy forced her daughter, into a place where Casey was not equipped to me.that one month wait was for the body to decompose in the Florida heat.I also think, again my opinion Cindy knew what happen the first time Casey got bonded out of jail, and this whole body moving is a family affair.
Well, its a sad situation all the way around. I am waiting for the trial to begin. I dont have the answers, maybe Baez does. Its just a shame that a mother/daughter relationship never seemed to meld with Cindy and Casey. I just dont know , but i feel that Kronk is guilty of SOMETHING.
really bothers me:
1) casey has no problem with anyone but her being blamed for caylees death – zenaida, grund, now kronk- jeepers.
2) people refer to others as “creepy” based on their looks.
If it was so obvious to Kronk, why didn’t the police officer see it or Kronk’s co-workers see it when he pointed it out. Why didn’t all those searchers see it regardless of water? Kronk saw it with all the water. Plus, Kronk has inconsistent statements. What about that? Why didn’t say right from the start he called back in August? He just stated that he was taking a leak and happened to see this? Personally, I would think that if I had saw something ‘not right’ in the swamp area by the Anthony’s home and had called two or three times in August to alert police, the first thing out of my mouth when I saw a human skull with duck tape roll out would be, I called this in several times in August. TOLD YA SO!
Sassy Mary,
You said yourself that you “refuse” to believe Casey had anything to do with the murder of her daughter because you just can’t believe that a mother would kill her own child. You aren’t stating your informed opinion of the facts. You’re just saying that you have closed your mind to anything other then whatever you choose to believe. This isn’t a court of law and we aren’t jurors so, none of us are required to give Casey the presumption of innocence. Having said that. It appears to me that nobody here has decided on Casey’s guilt based on a “refusal” to believe in Casey’s innocence. Most of us have read, watched and listened to about everything that the state of Florida has released and we have drawn our conclusions from the information available as regards Casey Anthony’s guilt. It also seems that since this is just the court of public opinion that you could at least give Roy Kronk that same presumption of innocence. And, to “lookatkronk”, How do you think investigators found out that Kronk called back in August, could it be that he told them that he had? I didn’t read anywhere that Kronk pointed anything out to his co-workers. What I read said that Kronk only told them that he thought he saw a bag and they were going to investigate when they were run off because they saw a snake. The searchers didn’t see the bag underwater because it wasn’t bath water it was a swamp. Casey said she spoke to her daughter on a cell phone after Zanny took Caylee, there’s no evidence in Casey’s cell records that, that call ever took place. Did Kronk tell Casey to say that to cover up for him too? Casey didn’t report her daughter missing, her mother Cindy did. Did Kronk keep Casey from reporting Caylee missing too? Maybe Kronk forced her to do her own investigation into daughters disappearance in nightclubs. He could have told her to keep telling everyone that asked where Caylee was that Caylee was vacationing with the Nanny. Kronk might have put the tatoo on Casey when Caylee was missing, “to the beautiful life”. I mean if I didn’t know where my child was, my first thought would be hey, I need to get to a tatoo memorilizing what a wonderful time I’m having. Come On People.
Dead, actually, when you listen to Kronk’s interview’s (they brought him back to have him discuss his explaination as to way he didn’t mention the previous 911 calls.) it is completely clear that Roy told his co-worker’s in August that he thought ‘that’ bag looked like a skull. He called three times in a row and then comes back in December and finds ‘it’ AGAIN. I realize it’s a swamp and I guess Kronk is smarter than the PD, search volunteers and his co-workers.
During Kronk’s first interview, he NEVER indicates he ’saw’ something before and that he had previously told his co-workers and his girlfriend that he thought he saw a skull. It was through a Police investigation did we find out that he had made previous 911 calls. Not by his admission which is strange. Like I said previously, if I would have thought I had found a skull, the FIRST thing I would have said is I told you all. . . serveral times. Officers, I called this in THREE times in August. . . It just doesn’t add up.

Can’t Mr. Kronk file charges for defamation of character and sue the defense counsel and Casey Anthony making all these allegations? Who haven’t they blamed in this case, with the exception of their own client that is.
Having followed the case often on a web sleuthing type site I must admit the facts coming out about Casey shows she was a lousy mother and likely did it. Anyone who did not pause when learning how many times kronk had visited the body dump site needs to lift up the tunnel vision glasses for a moment. He may be completely innocent but his behavior is odd at best. He lives in FL and there were many search groups, investigative teams and even the Anthony family was on the news constantly with their website and phone number for tips to find Caylee so only making a 911 call and leaving could be viewed as a cya move. If little Caylee was discovered on his first sighting in Aug. there would be more evidence to convict the “real” killer.
I think the lesson here is that if you discover something you think might be a body you can 1. back away slowly and leave no trace and shut up forever or 2. Call 911, the news, the family-anyone and everyone until someone else arrives to back up your story and give peace to people who might be looking for what you stumbled across.
I’ve always thought there is more to the case than meets the eye, which, I guess is true of all murder cases. The fact that this Kronk guy found the body where police had previously searched is very suspicious, as are his actions of returning to the place on several occasions. One question, though–how would Kronk have gotten Caley Anthony in the first place? Where was Casey? Did a babysitter really kidnap Caley? So many strange things to consider.
