N Turner –

Over the weekend, John McCain’s top adviser announced their plan to stop engaging in a debate over the economy and “turn the page” to more direct, personal attacks on Barack Obama.

In the middle of the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression, they want to change the subject from the central question of this election. Perhaps because the policies McCain supported these past eight years and wants to continue are pretty hard to defend.

But it’s not just McCain’s role in the current crisis that they’re avoiding. The backward economic philosophy and culture of corruption that helped create the current crisis are looking more and more like the other major financial crisis of our time.

During the savings and loan crisis of the late ’80s and early ’90s, McCain’s political favors and aggressive support for deregulation put him at the center of the fall of Lincoln Savings and Loan, one of the largest in the country. More than 23,000 investors lost their savings. Overall, the savings and loan crisis required the federal government to bail out the savings of hundreds of thousands of families and ultimately cost American taxpayers $124 billion.

Sound familiar?

In that crisis, John McCain and his political patron, Charles Keating, played central roles that ultimately landed Keating in jail for fraud and McCain in front of the Senate Ethics Committee. The McCain campaign has tried to avoid talking about the scandal, but with so many parallels to the current crisis, McCain’s Keating history is relevant and voters deserve to know the facts — and see for themselves the pattern of poor judgment by John McCain.

So at noon Eastern on Monday, October 6th, we’re releasing a 13-minute documentary about the scandal called “Keating Economics: John McCain and the Making of a Financial Crisis” — it will be available at KeatingEconomics.com, along with background information that every voter should know.

Watch a preview right now and share it with your friends.

The point of the film and the web site is that John McCain still hasn’t learned his lesson.

And this time, McCain’s bankrupt economic philosophy has put our economy at the brink of collapse and put millions of Americans at risk of losing their homes.

Watch the video to see why John McCain’s failed philosophy and poor judgment is a recipe for deepening the crisis:

http://my.barackobama.com/keatingvideo.

It’s no wonder John McCain would rather spend the last month of this election smearing Barack’s character instead of talking about the top priority issue for voters.

But if we work together, we can make sure the focus stays on the economy — and how to fix it.

Please forward this email to everyone you know.

Thanks,

David

David Plouffe
Campaign Manager
Obama for America

P.S. — The documentary will be live at noon Eastern on Monday, October 6th at
www.KeatingEconomics.com.

Rose Speaks.com is not endorsing either candidate, we just think the more you research and learn the better inform your vote will be which ever way you decide to vote in this year’s election. It is a MUST vote year.

I heard about this horrible bus crash in CA and went to this website to read about the crash that killed 5 and injured many more on Sunday Oct. 5 ‘08.
    Very Sad. :(

On the right hand side of the LA Times site; there is a box of most viewed stories and this one below is #5 of the most viewed… >re: “KEATING 5”

    “Keating 5 ring a bell?”
“McCain’s past collides with the present Wall Street debacle.”
“Once upon a time, a politician took campaign contributions and favors from a friendly constituent who happened to run a savings and loan association. The contributions were generous: They came to about $200,000 in today’s dollars, and on top of that there were several free vacations for the politician and his family, along with private jet trips and other perks. The politician voted repeatedly against congressional efforts to tighten regulation of S&Ls, and in 1987, when he learned that his constituent’s S&L was the target of a federal investigation, he met with regulators in an effort to get them to back off.”

“That politician was John McCain, and his generous friend was Charles Keating, head of Lincoln Savings & Loan. While he was courting McCain and other senators and urging them to oppose tougher regulation of S&Ls, Keating was also investing his depositors’ federally insured savings in risky ventures.”

I can’t belive the last mounth of campaing will be for smair on each other. We are good in america for smear campain…Saw it since 2 years now!!!!!
I think it is important that the focus be on economy.A lot of poeples are strugling and are in a middle of a world crisis.
They both suck this is for sure. But one look like more in and the other is out!
What I remark during the weekend is Palin was engage for what she is the best and what is her strong point: demolish others open her inexeperience mouth in politic, but using her experience, smair against other. She is a dangerous joke!

  6. Beth says:

    Saves,
Hello there! Your comment #5 was stated well! Very true and accurate account… ‘dangerous’ > exactly!

Update on that bus crash I spoke of in the #1 comment this page> “10 killed, 38 injured in bus crash”. I feel so bad for those people who rented a chartered bus (used to belong to the Greyhound company) for a few hour trip to the casino… all expecting to have a good time and then this. The only person I trust behind a steering wheel is myself!

  7. savesomething says:

Yes Beth how sad it is !! Look like a lot of tragedy happend in California since couple month. Like the train ….so sad…

  8. Beth says:

Oh, I meant to say… It should be very interesting tomorrow (Tuesday) night at the Presidential Debate!
Since McCain started the smear campaign, and Obama is countering > It will be odd to see them have to shake hands and converse back and forth.
*Wait, McCain hardley looked at Obama in the last debate! (or) even talked directly to him; so maybe it will not be hard for him. ;)

  9. Beth says:

    Savesomething, that is so true!
It seems everywhere, every state there is more and more tragedy.
Whether it be accidents or by Mother Nature!

I am off until this afternoon. Have a great day Saves!

*Febbie, is the chat ever coming on again? Thanks. ~B~

  10. Beth says:

    Butterfly, Roxanne, and Bewildered,
I bet a lot of people truly do not like either pick. Kind of how I also felt when GW Bush & Al Gore were running. I honestly think the world would have been much better off if we could have got Ross Perot in Washington years ago!

Though, the way I look at it is > We have had a man in office with Republican views for 8 years, he was not a very smart man with new ideas IMO.
    WHY? Do it again?
It is time for a Harvard educated man that is SMART enough to find the other smart people in each field to take care of business! Also, I believe that he will not Piss Off the other countries to Hate us more than they do! We have to try and keep our Country safe for our future children and their generations.

Another way to look at it is this… Obama will do everything correct and aboveboard as he has many years left in the Government. Unlike the other candidate.
NO MATTER who is elected, a President can only do so much. It will take 12 to 16 years to undo the mess the last 8 years has caused.
*If it can ever be un-done.

  11. savesomething says:

Agree with you completely Beth have a good Day!!!!!

  12. Daisy says:

I love Barack Obama, was a Hillary fan.
He won me over when he said all they want is a chance.
I have always felt if you give a man a chance and show him how to improve his life, he will 95% of the time. The more I listen to his ideas the more I believe in the man.
Do I think he is perfect, no but I don’t believe there is a man or women on this earth who is perfect. The human being is full of flaws. It is his spirit that I so admire and I believe he wants best for America.
I believe McCain wants best for only a portion of Americans, not all. And that remark many months ago when he said the best of America was is in the past, that was it for me. BTW he has edited his remarks since he said it realizing what he said shocked so many but he showed his heart that day.

  13. butterfly says:

i had a question back in august i think…. 58 million raised for obama…private business donations…in ONE month. We cant even feed the hungry in the USA. What r these private donaters getting in return for their ‘investment’? Media doesnt cover scandal…unless the internet gets a hold of it. Poor actual investigators (do they reall have those in the media) get arrested for filming those campaign contributors during democratic convention….hmmm somethings really wrong. I think lobbyists by far are the biggest discrimintion … Dont have the money, you dont have a voice

  14. Daisy says:

Oh, one last thing, I live in the South (not raised here) and I have never heard such hate, racism and radicalism come from the mouth of these Republicans. It is hateful and the reason the Dems need so much money is to fight them with all we got. The Republicans have infiltrated our churches and have twisted what it means to be Christian. They have taken the bible and used it to infiltrate people who need to follow and used it to create self fulling prophecy’s. What they are doing is not what Christ taught.

Butterfly, this time out the Dems are not going to lose to the radical Republicans and they need a lot of money to win. We are up against evil here. Dick Cheney says “so” when asked if he were concerned about the American people. Bushes friend said Bush was to promote his constituents wishes, the people who voted for him. Here I thought he served all of America. The Republican party, in my opinion and from I hear them say are nothing but the KKK, the joe six pack group, the ones who hate the gays, they are the ones who put Bush in office. And McCain is after the same group.

  15. Febbie says:

Beth, read the forum and you will understand better what is going on.
I hope to talk with you soon.

  16. Sammy1 says:

I’m a strong Obama supporter and for the very first time in life, I have contributed to a campaign. We need a change and McCain isn’t it and certainly not Sarah Palin the cheerleader. It’s incredible that the Republicans think we as citizens lack the understanding to see through thier smears and lies. Obama seems to me to be a thinker before speaking, a thinker before action and a willingness to consult with experts in their respective fields before making a major decision. McCain shoots from the hip even if that meant getting shot in the foot. I have watched, read and listened to just about everything on all the candidates and truly believe that Obama is the right choice. Obama leads and will be a good leader. McCain wants to take chances just as he did as a young man and pilot. Obama graduated at the top of his class while McCain gradulated at the bottom. I’ll take intelligence over a maverick and risk taker.

My take on Sarah Palin is wink-wink, smear, stammer, nonsensical statements, refuses to answer questions asked, no knowledge of domestic or foreign affairs. She changes the subject rather than responding to questions that would provide a thought process. When she bacame mayor of Wasilla, the city of less than 6,000 was debt free. When she left the mayoral office, the city was 20 million in debt. Is this good governing? Why won’t she respond to Troopergate as promised – something to hide? Was there an affair with her husband’s partner as reported?

McCain’s health plan will result in a loss of medical help for so many. Think about it. McCain will give a tax break of 2500.00 per adult with a max of 5000.00 per household. You in turn must determine your provider and pay the monthly payments. The 2500/5000 is paid directly to the insurance provider. If your company provides a medical plan than you as the tax payer will pay taxes on the value of that medical plan. This will probably take you into a higher tax bracket. You cannot win. In addition, I believe those companies who do provide medical plans will probably discontinue those plans in favor of you obtaining outside medical insurance. In the end, we will lose. Good medical plans are too expensive.

First the first time, my state has early voting and absentee ballots for everyone rather than going to the precincts. I’ve submitted mine voting for Obama.

  17. Sammy1 says:

Rose/Daisy – Do you know when the Chat Room will be up and running or has there been a change?

    Thank you.

  18. Beth says:

    Sammy,
Your comment #16 is concise and to the point! So very well stated! I tend to let passion flood my mind on this subject… LOL and on others! :)
McCain’s health plan does pose many problems that are not defined to the voters. I read your comment a few times, as it truly was written well! ‘Nonsensical statements’ is a perfect phrase to describe what Palin is giving the public. I am so afraid that women who do not deeply investigate the issues want Palin just because she is an outspoken woman, and they are tired of men screwing up Washington.
(the ‘wink-wink’ made me laugh out loud!)

**Chat** Sammy, if you go to the forums (first page) all the way down… Under ‘Forum Stats’ then click the 3rd line: ‘View the most recent posts on the forum’ the CHAT INFO is #4 down @ this time, if someone else posts in a thread it will move it down to #5 ect…

Not sure of my work schedule Wed. to set a time to get together and talk about the debate, I think the blog works just as fast or faster than the forum. Maybe in the Keating 5 thread? We can catch up there around 1 pm on the blog time? That would be 11 am here, just let me know here I quess. Thanks. ~B~

  19. Beth says:

Febbie, I meant to thank you for getting back to me on the info for chat.
Hope so too! I have missed talking to you.
Man! is this country going to hell and a hand-basket or what?
The numbers on Wall Street are like the 700 billion rescue bill hurt more than it helped!
I so pray this is a delayed reaction!

“7 Palin aides agree to tesitfy in her abuse of power investigation” last updated 10/06/08 05:56 AM

“ANCHORAGE, Alaska — Seven aides to Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin have reversed course and agreed to testify in an investigation into whether the Republican vice presidential nominee abused her powers by firing a commissioner who refused to dismiss her former brother-in-law.
There is no indication, however, that Palin or her husband will now agree to testify in the legislative inquiry, which has dogged her for the past several months and could hurt John McCain in the final weeks of the presidential race.”

  21. flowerz says:

I think both are so crooked that the last thing they both will want to discuss is the economy and who each have taken what and from whom. Throw in the rest of the crooks sitting in the White House(when they feel like being there). They are all crooked and have been for a long time. When Clinton got NAFTA passed, we kissed our jobs goodbye then, some just didn’t realize it at the time.

Well I think Governor “Pitbull” Palin has definitely overstepped her role when she accused Obama of hanging around with terrorists! I do not usually do politics, but this is getting way down in the dirt. I liked her when she first appeared on the scene, but my opinion has changed drastically in the recent days.
Being a registered Independent voter I have paid close attention to this campaign as is usual. The more I listen to Obama, the more I appreciate his intelligence which makes McCain sound like his best days are behind him. I had been a Hillary supporter until things went south for her, and was very disappointed that she wasn’t selected as VP running mate.

But the one thing that is clear to me……another Republican President will only have Dick Cheney around to put his two cents in governmental affairs. We do not need more of that.

  27. Daisy says:

Sammy, I will get that answer for you ASAP. I’m behind today.

PS sorry your post got caught in spam, no rhyme or reason as to why.

It will touch not just America but the round turn of the planet.I don’t think all the monnie in that baillot will help the family to pass over this crisis.
So I prefer see a change in USA .This change pass by a nice smile ….

Here’s another link – this was the first article I read regarding Sarah Palin and is what started my quest to learn more about her. So much of what is written here is coming true.

    http://www.thepresidentialcandidates.us/about-sarah-palin-a-letter-from-anne-kilkenny/741/

Saves – I agree with you, all the money in the bailout will never trickle down (in time) to us who need help. I have this fear that my IRA will tank further. Without my IRA to pay my monthly bills including mortgage, I will lose my house. Without my house I will still have my car which is fully paid. In the future, you may see me on TV explaining why I’m living out of car and how I got there.

Beth, thank you for the Juneau link – interesting. It reminded me of something else I read early on and probably don’t have the link – Wooten claimed Palin and/or her office had obtained a copy of his medical file which is illegal which then meant Wooten could file a lawsuit.

  32. Daisy says:

Beth #20 good for them, they are doing the right thing.

  33. Daisy says:

ps, I hope I didn’t offend anyone with the reference to the joe six pack.
I didn’t mean it towards all beer drinkers.
It was in reference to a group of ppl I know who drink beer and talk a lot of hate.
There is also another group I know who are full of hate and don’t even drink.

  34. hmm says:

Sammy and Beth thanks for the links I have been keeping up with things and Palins terroist remarks went way over board along with the set up at McCains rally where someone yelled out terrorist. What a set up.People forget that palins husban believes Alaska should susceed from the union. How will that work if by some chance McCain does win.We should all be very fearful of that a McCain/Palin presidency will bring.Especially with the economy the way it is and McCain wants to privitize S.S. and have cutbacks in medicare. They don’t cover much as it is.He talks about them being intiltements but I know I have worked for 45 years and paid into the system for both S.S. and medicare so it is not an entitlement program we all paid into these programs

  35. Beth says:

    Afternoon hmm!
Just stepping in the door… a very long day and the kids will be here in 20 minuets.
I saw the snippet of the rally and heard someone screaming ’terrorist’! Can you believe that crap?
ALSO! At a rally where John McCain was talking… McCain had put Obama down and someone yelled; “Kill Him!” I swear to God! They showed it on TV, and they showed the look on McCain’s face when he heard that. McCain & Palin are going to keep this crap up and some ‘nutcase’ is going to possibly hurt Barack.
Those damn idiots! I am so disgusted w/ Fox News I could scream! All the ticketer on the bottom of the screen keeps saying is a bunch of trash talk about Obama.
I had heard about Palin’s husband being friendly awhile back w/ that group who wanted Alaska to separate. What an idiot! You are very correct about the cuts to Medicare and Social Security if McCain gets in office.
Obama is ahead now, but I am so afraid that Palin, Hannity (on FOX) and McCain are going to bad mouth Obama so bad that some people might actually get scared and not vote for him.
Heard this morning before I had to go to work that McCain and camp had started up the Rev. Wright stuff too. I have to go now… I will catch up on the news on TV in the next few hours.
I so hope the stock market is not as low as yesterday, I am almost afraid to look. I have no money in there LOL – but I do know that it will still affect this family and many more if economy stays this much off course.
Saw a few minuets of Oliver Stone (Director of the movie Wall Street) on LKL last night, he has now made the movie about George W. Bush. Josh Brolin is going to play him. This will let the world really know about this guy and his weird relationship w/ his brother Jebb and his father the former President Bush.
I truly cannot wait to see that movie. Well, gotta go… take care hmm.

  36. Sammy1 says:

Taking a break from cleaning – Beth, I saw and heard the terrorist and kill him comment. McCain and Palin are throwing crap against the wall hoping it sticks; but in doing so they are riling people to the point something is going to happen.I pray Obama will be safe. Hopefully, security will be tighten surrounding Obama. Another three hours before the Debate.

Really good shows to watch on MSNBC are Countdown with Keith Olberman and The Rachel Maddow Show. Both hosts debunk all the lies, show the various ads, have guests and aren’t afraid to blast whomever desires it. One night Keith really went off on McCain to the point I thought Keith would burst a blood vessel on the air. Okay, break over, back to cleaning.

  37. Beth says:

Oh Sammy, I am glad you ‘checked’ in on the blog.
Yes, I do like Keith and Rachel! She is opposite of LKL at 6:00pm here, and her show is doing real well! She is soooo smart! I do not like it when she has on that Pat Buchannan (sp) though. He is as ‘Right Winged’ as they come!
I am very anxious about the Debate in a few hours. I bet McCain does at least look at Obama this time, after all the stuff that was said after the last Debate.
I believe because this one will be in a ‘Town Hall’ format that the audience will be able to applaud. I sure hope no one screams ‘terrorist’ tonight!
McCain and Palin ought to be ashamed of themselves, I pray with every ounce of my being that Barack wins the Presidency by a landslide!

I tried a couple of times yesterday to get on that new chat… I will take another stab at it after the debate.
Has anyone else been able to get on it? Thanks. Check back in this evening.
I’ll be thinking of you Miss Sammy! Have a great evening all.

  38. Sandy says:

Rose do you know that the lawyer Bennet, a democrat, who was appointed in the Keaten five case, recommended that McCain’s name be removed?
The lawyer who investigated the matter for one and a half years could not find any proof that McCain did anything wrong.

In his book, In the Ring, Bennet the democrat, mind you, said that McCain was only left in their because they did not want a 26 day inquiry on democrats only.
Yes, the 3 remaining were democrats. Look like politics, doesnt it?

  39. Sandy says:

What does McCain has to do with the economic crisis?

It started with Carter, was intensified by Bill Clinton and all efforts for reform was blogged by the democrats.
Intellectual honesty is what is missing with everybody pointing fingers. Fenny and Freddy are democrat controlled entities. At least be honest about that.

  40. Sandy says:

It is not smearing to bring up Obamas associations.

The electorate has a right to know who we are voting for.
If the media did their job, by now we would have known everything there is to know about both candidates, and we could make informed decisions.

We are known by our friends and the company we keep. So when did Obama find out BAyres was a terrorist, unrepentent?

I knew that all my life. How ignorant is the man that he does not know anything about anyone around him, or at least the not so distant history of his own country?

Imagine if McCain had these kind of associations.

Obama has called McCain dishonest, not honorable, erratic, and they are even saying that he may die soon, and we don’t see a problem with that? That is running an honorable campaign? If Obama cares about focussing on the issues, why did he sent an army over to Alaska to dig up dirt on the VP of his opponent?

  41. Sammy1 says:

Sandy – it is my understanding that Obama was 8 years old when The Weatherman were protesting the Vietnam War as many others were.
Obama met Ayers through Mayor Daley when he was asked to serve on committee to distribute funds to various educational groups.
Obama learned of Ayers association sometime after the political launch gathering.
In past months Obama has denounced the actions of Ayers.
This is nothing more than distraction by the McCain campaighn.

    http://firstread.msnbc.msn.com/archive/2008/10/07/1507528.aspx

    McCain has his own associates

    http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20081007/ap_on_el_pr/mccain_iran_contra

  42. Beth says:

I do remember seeing the word ‘erratic’ in an ad that Obama endorsed. It was an ad to defend the accusations against him. Obama has NEVER said to anyone, to any media outlet that McCain may die soon. THAT IS AN OUTRIGHT LIE.
It is all right to have sides; it is all right to be on the right or left of a party, or an issue, and to have opposing opinions.
But I can promise you this; it would be political suicide for Obama to say that or to say McCain was not honorable. THAT STATEMENT IS A LIE, period.

Now, if some people on the web that are ‘die-hard’ Democrats have stated these things than I am sorry… I do not agree.
BUT! Obama HAS NOT said those words!
Obama HAS NO POWER to send “an army over to Alaska to dig up dirt…”
He is not responsible for what others do. Hell, if any of the Government agencies in Washington did do that… I bet there were as many Republicans as there were Democrats.

It is a correct statement to say that it is “not smearing to bring up Obama’s associations”.
It IS SMEARING to say that he is a close buddy with a domestic terrorist! Obama was 8 years old when Ayres was wild back in the 60’s!
Obama said three or four months ago he DID NOT condone Ayres actions back then. End of story.
What’s next Rev. Wright? Then the crazy pastor that endorsed McCain and he at first accepted should be talked about! Or the minister that Palin is close to that drove a woman out of town saying she was responsible for the increase of car accidents… this nutcase minister that called this lady a witch, and still believes in witchcraft.

It is all right to disagree; I do not fault anyone who is against Obama. My mom is a strong Republican. But DO NOT LIE and say that [quote] “Obama has called McCain dishonest, not honorable, … he may die soon.”

You can quote me though if you’d like. “I say that McCain has ran a UNFOCUSED CAMPAIGN, he has NOT HAD A CLEAR MESSAGE, HE SHOWED HIS ANGER TOO MANY TIMES, He honestly scares the HELL OUT OF ME. If he were in office I bet within a year we would be in a full-blown war with Russia! Who would fight in that war? All of our troops are in Iraq-where they never should have gone in the first place!
Obama voted to NOT go to Iraq. He stood his ground, and only a few stood with him. Obama was right in my opinion. Bush, Cheney and McCain were DEAD WRONG! Over 4,000 young men and women’s lives were lost in Iraq, it was just as stupid as the Viet Nam War.

The polls show who is actually more focused and more ‘on message’ in my opinion.
If I might add, Obama is more even-tempered and will be a better asset to represent our Country as a diplomat to other nations. Maybe they will stop hating us so much, as the United States is a big joke to many other countries right now due to our failed foreign actions and our failed economic actions.
McCain cannot fix these things. Obama is intelligent and I believe that he will appoint the best people to stop us from going under.

The Debate tonight said it all. (and they were OBAMA’S WORDS & McCAIN’S WORDS)
    Thank you.

Sammy, I see your comment was typed before mine (but stuck in spam) yet, say similar statements…
Yours still are much more to the point than mine though. ;)

Well, I finally got in chat… I miss the other chat, maybe once I get used to this.
I asked in chat if you had got on yet… Was trying not to miss your thoughts on the debate.

I’ll check back at 11:00 am here, blog time 1:00 pm.

Beth – Can’t get into the Chat room I had bookmarked.
Tried Celebrity Chat from main page, registered and only get blue page
Is there a new site or login?
    I’m here and waiting

  45. Beth says:

    Hello Sammy,
This blog is so slow for me.

I had trouble getting on chat, I went to the main site, clicked celebrity chat, registered w/ a weird nic, a different password from the old chat, then it wouldn’t work… I had turned off the net and a few minuets later when I went on – I tried again and it worked.

Do you want to try that? Or talk here? Every time I hit submit it takes 3-5 minuets to reload this page… Thanks. ~B~

  46. Sammy1 says:

Beth, let me try again, would rather talk in chat if possible

  47. Beth says:

No Problem, I will go see if I can get on chat in another window.

  48. Sammy1 says:

Beth – I’m chat and so are others – hurry on over.

Beth, I had you fired up there!

Perhaps you have not seen all of the Obama ads. They did call him not honorable etc. As for saying he would die soon, it may not be Obama saying that but his surrogates and supporters are saying that, I am sure you have heard the argument.

One radio host, Ed Shultz, said during the DEMs convention he met with someone high up in the Obama campaign and asked him if they, the campaign has a problem with him calling McCain a warmongerer.

The Obama campaign person told Ed, you go ahead, say whatever you want, because we as a campaign cannot be seen doing that. Anyone who knows Ed Shultz knows he is Obama’s biggest supporter, and he was not afraid to say that he has the blessing of the campaign to go as negative on McCain as he wishes.

I agree with you 100% that both parties are responsible for our mess.

Why I am pointing out the democrat’s side is because they are out there pointing fingers at the other party and not taking any responsibility for their part in it. Anyone who cares to do the research will see that they are up to their eyeballs in this mess and honestly 98% of the blame should go to them.

It is not the free market or the Bush policies that failed.

It is government and political intervention, such as was forced on companies by the Clinton and Carter administrations to make loans to people who could not afford it. That is why they system failed.

Free market principles would not allow you to make loans to people who could not afford to repay it.

America has been zombified, that is why we look at the facts and face the truth and still deny it.

Ignorance is our biggest commodity in this country.

    Sammy

I think when Obama launched his political career from Ayres house, it symbolized his admiration for Ayres. I would also have launched my career from the house of an icon I admire.

As for Obama not knowing who Ayres was, you honestly believe that??? He did not know who Wright was, he did not know who Tony Rezco was, come on.

He and Ayers were involved in substantial educational programmes. Scary ones, mind you. Educational programmes that have nothing to do with science, math, etc. but everything to do with socialism. Once again, do your own research. And go where the information leads you, or close your eyes to it.

I am not trying to convince anyone, these are just my thoughts.

I will conclude with this once again “IGNORANCE IS OUR BIGGEST COMMODITY”
