The Chilling Effect Who and Why Now?

The “why” is always harder to find. However, I suggest instead of having the common reaction of “fight or flight”, each person who finds themselves in this predicament take a deep breath, neither fight nor flight and try to look beyond the surface to what might be the real hidden agenda.
There is a legal term called “Chilling Effect”, which is a term in United States law that describes a situation where speech or conduct is suppressed or limited by fear of penalization at the hands of an individual or group. For example, the threat of a costly and lengthy lawsuit might prompt self-censorship and have a “chilling effect” on free speech.
If I go by this, then I get beyond the “fight or flight” and begin to look at something far more potentially sinister and chilling. Thus the question becomes “who and why now”?
Way back eons ago in internet time when this first chilling effect occurred, I did try to advocate checking facts out for yourself, don’t just buy into what you are told. I believe that paranoia and fear are the greatest tools of bullies, and those adept at “the chilling effect”. As many others before me and after me will say, “Truth is the absolute defense”. It takes a bit for each one of us to search and find the truth, it is much easier to buy into someone else’s truth, fears, paranoia, threats, etc. For me personally I have always chosen when I question something to research and find the truth. My truth might not be the absolute truth, but it is enough for me to then move on in life.
Thus back to the chilling effect, and who and why now? We have the Inquest coming up, what happens to these swarms of a small group of people that feel such anger and hate when Howard K. Stern is found once again to not have had anything to do with a very sad and accidental death? If I ever feel a tad down about rumors and hate filled posts about me, I think about Howard K. Stern, Larry Birkhead, and about their families and the hell they have lived through in the past year. It is a quick reality check of what is written about me on the internet although repugnant, it is so small compared to what these two men and their families have lived with for everyday the last year. Therefore, what happens to the people who lives are caught up in hate, bigotry, paranoia and controlling others with these tactics? Where does this small group go after this horrible sad saga comes to an end next week? As they readily say, they move on to California, with the same tactics they have attempted to use in Florida and the Bahamas. I guess they think practice makes perfect, however it they do one too many calling campaigns, one too many email or snail mail campaigns, what happens then. I have it from a good source that what happens is that they are considered stupid kindergarten stalkers and bullies, and the FBI, DOJ, and Secret Service will put them in the whacko call file. In this day and time with real threats against Americans in so many areas from threats of violence, to inciting hate crimes, to domestic violence there is so much more out there to worry about then an orchestrated online “war”.
Some of you have written me about I should tell my story, the real story, and be done with it. I disagree, first I did in April 2007, the first of about now three recycles of the same old stuff, once was enough of being very honest about who I am. However now to do it again and again and again, each time this comes up is equivalent to getting in the sand box with the bullies. Once you do that, you have given them what they want, ATTENTION, and bullies feed off of attention even bad attention.
I do have to admit of all of the things that are written about me the most nauseating and alarming one is that “I exploit children, am involved in child pornography, and/or child BDSM”, first I did not know there was child BDSM, but I guess in child exploitation that might be possible. I have been reported and checked out, and there is no truth what so ever to these accusations. Therefore, once again I ask why this is recycled after being disproved many months ago. To say someone is exploiting a child goes right to our very primal instinct of survival. It insults and inflames a “reasonable person” using “common sense”, to the point of inflaming that person to want to take action including but not limited to inciting hate/loathing/avoidance of the person that is the target of this type of false known statement. In the worse case scenario, these statements can incite someone to commit a crime of assault. Another example of this is saying someone suffers from a disease that society fears, as in; the 1980’s the stating that a person had HIV. I don’t think there is one of us out there that do not feel very deeply about child exploitation so although it is not true, and has been investigated and proven as not true, why bring it up yet again almost a year later? In my opinion, it is to play on the fear, anger, and paranoia of “any normal person’s common sense”. To try to invoke create loathsome and hatred of another, the common person feels that they have to make a stand. Could I sue someone for the allegations that continue, of course I could. It is called “Malicious Falsehood” and is similar to defamation, but proof of damage is not necessary, as with defamation — defendants must only prove the statement was false and published maliciously. However the “fronts” (sites used) for this, those people do not have any money to go after, and I don’t want their e-book business. So you live with it, you feel ill that anyone would do this, in fact I feel to make that accusation in and of itself is exploiting children. Parents and the average person, it is an assault on all of us because of the deep inner feelings it causes. It is of course designed by its very nature to cause these feelings.
With all of that said we go back to who and why now again? I feel that is a complicated question and probably a complicated answer of the agenda that causes this to be spewed on hate sites. However, moving past this and wondering why those who do these things are the first to holler foul for much less gives us some insight to the agenda.
Mr. Wood has stated that Mr. O’Quinn uses the theory of 1,000 cuts to bring his target down, which resulted in the bankruptcy of Dow Corning in one case. So why would a small out of the way legal discussion blog, be targeted by people who allegedly get emails to “stay on topic and/or message”, and go out to spew this type of slime to keep the focus on anyone or anything but what is really going on if it is not favorable to them.
Then we have the posts and emails sent to me about I am the one that will “prove and get jurisdiction in Texas”, frankly I have no idea what that is about. When I responded saying that, then in what seemed to me to be cryptic language, by what appears to be one of the Wilma followers, I was told to read Howard K. Stern’s deposition from January 4. Virgie Arthur’s team appears not to have wanted it filed in her response, thus I had to wait until it became public in Howard K. Stern’s response filed with the court on January 18. Frankly overall it was one of the most boring depositions I have read, so then I got a message to look at the part on “paid bloggers”. What first caught my attention was someone went to the trouble to create a false “Houston Chronicle article” back in April 2007 claiming that Howard K. Stern had a PR firm with paid bloggers. I had that sent to me by someone and I have to admit on first reading it does look legitimate. My next question, wonder who was talented enough to put that together? Then moving on was something about a chat room and threats, have no idea where that chat room is or what threats. Then I did got to part about paid bloggers, Howard K. Stern said nope none, then to volunteer bloggers, Howard K. Stern said nope, none. So we get into screen monikers, and the only one of those three I recognize was “Sweet Havana” from Canada. I had never seen the monikers of “My Spirit Rocks or Marilyn Cummings”. The depositions seems to then implies that some type of ongoing conspiracy to slander Virgie was being “directed into Texas” by Howard K. Stern. Are they trying to say, the old attorney in Houston that Anna Nicole Smith had for the probate hearings with the Marshall family part of this? That is a tad far out there, and I don’t buy that giant leap and don’t know the lawyer so that could not be me. Then we have Bonnie Stern, did Howard’s sister ever blogged, nope, not that I know of but then I don’t know “everything” and I would guess neither does anyone else. Hasn’t every rock possible been turned over on all of the Stern family and they come up to be a fairly well respected family who raised their children with good personal ethics? Finally, we have a question allowed about had Bonnie ever been to Texas to investigate for her brother, from the deposition it looks like Virgie Arthur’s lawyer decided to skip on that question and go to Bonnie Stern defaming Virgie Arthur. Thus in the end I have no understanding about how a blog that supplies and keeps archived the legal documents from ALL sides in all of these cases, could be a “jurisdictional link”. If you follow that then that could put all of these cases in every state where anyone has written about it. Thus after spending hours trying to follow cryptic messages of connect the dots, I am left still saying, HUH?
So that brings us back to the latest personal attack, and my over all question, why the attempt at the Chilling Effort, by who, and why me? Your guess is as good as mine. If I am the biggest thing for these people to target these days, then in my opinion, they are beginning to realize they are going to strike out in the Bahamas next week and probably in California over the next weeks and/or months. In fact the medical board on last check had recommended and renewed both doctors license after the search warrants. Maybe we should thank all of these people organizing all of these phone calls and email/snail mail campaigns. What do you think?
One last note, one of the old moderators sent me the “COMPLETE” chat log that has been displayed on another site. When you read the whole chat log, not the edited version, it presents a totally different picture of things. So why not put the whole chat log instead of the edited version, another good question in my opinion.

Your right Rose, the WHOLE UNEDITED chat version explains a complete different story to what REALLY happened. You would think that would be the ONE THING people learned from this whole story is to get the WHOLE STORY, not edited versions, not ‘somebody’s’ version and to ask questions before taking someone’s word.

I’m so sorry you had to be put through all this…again and again and for what?? Even explaining the WHY can never justify it. I have another WHY–like why do these people live off this stuff and take it all so seriously?? They don’t even know the parties involved. A look inward never hurts and maybe it’s time for these naysayers to finally look inward as to what they gain from all this turmoil.
I have no idea what you are even referring to regarding ‘child exploitation’ and saw nothing like that; but then I didn’t read carefully enough or perhaps it was just more of the same again that I glanced through it and clicked off, afraid to even be there a second longer. After that I relied on a few copied and pasted ‘transcripts’ that were posted on TMZ. Whatever the case, PLEASE do not explain it further as it is not necessary.
I don’t know what else to say, other than you did a fine job laying it all out there, keeping your cool as long as you did and NOT responding to any of it until now.

Of course another side won’t tell you everything they said or did that was NOT true to hurt someone when things aren’t going their way. BUT YES, that is ONE thing, of MANY, ROSE was blamed for and all her members were told that Rose was doing that, most likely to get them not to go to this site. There are also new documents up including the ones by Judge Chin that Lauren wanted to read. We are trying ppl to get everything back up but WOW does it take time to rebuild a web site from scratch and get everything back where it belongs.
I say as I have said many times–this story is winding down, the media won’t touch it anymore, there is nothing more to say–we all know what happened, minus a few detail that really are not anybody’s business and people involved have been going on with their own lives. I said that so many times I can’t count them. This small group–’swarms’ as Rose calls them are unable to put it behind them; they are desperately trying to leave no stone unturned. What makes that so pathetic is that there are no stones left, no more tall tales to tell, they have all been told and retold. We ALL need to put it behind us once it is officially concluded with the last gavel at the inquest.

I want you to know I am now using Internet Explorer JUST FOR YOUR WEBSITE. I prefer Firefox, but having been away from IE for so long, it feels funny with the blue tabs and all almost as though I have to get used to all over again. I had begun to hate IE7.
In other words, the blog is a disaster in Firefox.

I wonder what happened all of a sudden with Firefox? Since Rose had already made the changes and then no one was having problems, then boom. Hmm. That stinks. Did firefox do an upgrade? Sometimes they do them automatically and you don’t even know.
One time McAfee upgraded on me and it didn’t work with IE 7 and everything was out of whack for days.

No, I don’t think Firefox did anything. I have never been able to get get certain websites with Firefox like Shutterfly, Photobucket and a few others. On the other hand the sites I do get are WAY better than with IE and especially with YouTubes, Quicktime and full screen slideshows that don’t seem to work very well with IE.
Example: video from photobuck–it uploads fine and goes to a full screen view (if you want it) with Firefox. Not with IE–you get a smaller screen and a red x when you click on ‘full screen’.
Between them they make one fine browser :-). Took that one somewhat from Adam Sandler.
Lauren I use Firefox and am able to get into Photobucket. Once I switched to firefox I haven’t had any problems. Still use IE but only if I’m multi-tasking.

O.K. You are correct–not Photobucket, but Shutterfly. It was the story about video uploading that I told about Photobucket and how with Firefox you can watch a full screen but not with IE.
The Shutterfly website just doesn’t work with Firefox. I have another favorite website–a fairly well trafficked one and Firefox says ‘error’ and can’t get it. It also doesn’t do all the Microsoft pages like the new downloads, etc, updates. Sometimes it works–but generally not very well with Microsoft.
After the read yesterday from the other site, I see so much hate and greed over there that it makes me sick.
If that is the kind of people that call others their friends, it is sad, but they were never friends to start with.
Rose knows that all of us are here by choice, and will be here until the end..
Pisces, your link on the last article about John Gibson mocks Ledger… Well I happened to be in front of the TV @ 4:00 pm today when the TMZ half-hour show came on. The first thing they talked about was how upset the Ledger family is due to all these reports that weren’t true. Then they show statements from John Gibson, and that is what I was talking about yesterday. (Though TMZ reported some of the same false stories, guess they wanted to take some of the blame of them.) The NYPD made a public announcement what the facts were when they found him. The Ledger family will never sue some of these reporters, but I feel that the individual people and their networks need to be sued so maybe they will stop until they have the true facts. This is one thing that the government needs to do, make media laws stricter for the victim and their families.

Your article was very informative. I had no idea that these people were so hell-bent on causing your personal life so much trouble. I am so very sorry that you and your family even have to give these low life people the time of day.
You stated something to the effect that it was recommended that the doctor’s licenses be renewed. I hope they are. The CA A.G. should not try to make an example of these doctors as it is going on everywhere. They need to also change the laws on writing prescriptions. No one knows the complete facts about Heath Ledger’s passing, but if true; it was stated that he had prescriptions for sleeping, ect. from overseas, and from here in the states. If they tied everyone’s SS# with any medicines prescribed – the doctors could go to a central database and see what else their patient is on, as not all people tell the doctors everything. Or something similar, I get so mad about some of our government officials just trying to get in the limelight and never really solving any problems.
Well at least we know he is going to do another ‘tell all’ They have to be released at SOME point I would think, right Rose? I mean stuff has to be filed in other courts and Judge Chin said they had to ask for permission. I wish somebody WOULD ASK RIGHT NOW lol

It was posted in multiple places but I don’t remember where it originated from… I find it ironic that it happened to be the Houston Chron that was chosen as the newspaper source. I REALLY think they should figure out where that originated from, if it was posted on tmz or one of the pro HKS sites, which is where I saw it first. They need to trace that is what I am trying to say lol.

Butterfly – we were just talking about that fake Houston Chronicle article a couple months ago. It was written in late March, right around the time Wilma was hired by O’Quinn. Personally, I think there’s a connection there. I first saw it posted on TMZ when I use to read the comments there everyday. I wasn’t reading anywhere else at the time so I’m not sure if it was originally posted there first or not.
Man! That ‘K’ person posted on AH comments… I just don’t understand these people. Well, I’m out – have a great evening folks.
I think the depositions are sealed until trial when they are actually used in questioning witnesses to ‘refresh their memory’ on certain questions and to try and impeach their testimony using the deposition.
They are only sealed due to avoidance of pre-trial pubicity, as stated by Judge Chin and he cited examples of that already happening in his view.
Hi All. It sure is interesting how these people want their depositions sealed! They and the media had no problem destroying Howard and Larry’s reputation with their alleged allegations of wrong doing! Here, you have an individual, who clearly engaged in wrongdoing, via the taped recording evidencing such, and they want secrecy? Are you kidding me? They are afraid of a media circus…..ahhh….ok??? I truly hope and pray that the real truth prevails and that these people are held accountable for their actions. I have been interested in this story from the very beginning! Although I know none of the parties, I completely disagreed with the way the media was attacking this man and with their decisions to allow individuals to use them to present inflamatory accusations that had no basis in fact. I will never forget O’Quinn’s comments and I immediately reported him to the Texas Bar! I have continued to follow these cases, as I am very interested in law and as we all know…these cases have just about every kind of law!
Rose…Keep doing what you are doing…I enjoy this site as much as Art’s. It is great when you can voice your opinions without being attacked! I do hope you can prevent the kind of nonsense that continues to occur on other sites! Sure would like to know who wrote the fake Houston Chronicle article and whether the purpose was to create some sort of jurisdiction…LOL Have a good night all.

unfortunately, this crap seems it will go on forever! IMO The wish of the blogging posse(see wall of shame, LOL) is to discredit Howard(from their spoken one) thus various lawsuits are dropped/gone!! But as Rose said TRUTH is the best defense, and imo these lawsuits are not going anywhere! Well! maybe settlement court in Howard’s favor! Even if he walks away with no montetary value, the satisfaction, of putting them on the Wall of Shame would be sweet!!! JMO

Good article. I always felt that the reason for all the crap was to pressure Anna into giving up and now for Howard to give up the Marshall money. A lot of money is being spent to get at it
Oquinn is either a money tree or is being bankrolled to get it to Texas where the courts will be in their favour.
Someone will have to always make sure Danielyn is safe because she is the key, control the baby and you have the money. I hope she gets heaps of it because she will need it to keep these bastards away. Also they used bad press and gossip on anna from when she wed Howard Marshall. I suppose the only bad stuff they have on the baby is her eyes and her mothers drug use but unless this is stopped now with these libel cases, to bring the cruel gossip to an end she will always have to fight, what will be next to try and undermine her. They will make it up and try and spin it into truth.
Also with the depositions to put these motions up the day before it is due is putting pressure on the Judge isn’t it. Shouldn’t they have had to act in a timely manner as they knew this was scheduled. Is this a tactic to get what they want without giving the system time to really look into things. Also his deposition would give a good insight into Rita’s. She must have rolled over on O’quinn and Opri etc. She wouldn’t have much choice, either that or 60 million. There had to be a reason other than her benifit to keep it all secret. It will all come out in the end and the spin will be amazing trying to salvage themselves and pass the blame. Rats deserting a sinking ship.
Rose you article made me think heaps about the history of this type of thing and what also comes to mind is the Michael Jacson Saga. Rita Cosby and Debra Opri where both involved in that mess. Nobody knows what is fact or fiction and nothing except the gossip has stuck. Sounds awfully familiar doesn’t it. If the public had access to the documents etc, as you have done here would that have made a difference, I think so.
You are doing a great job and if you weren’t hurting them you wouldn’t be a target. You set out to get at the truth and the more they fight you must be getting closer.
A lot of people must be reading your site and not just to ruin it, but to read and get at the truth, that is what they are trying to stop.

OK, I just went back and read quickly through the shameful so-called ‘article’ and apparently missed it last night when I glanced through it. I noticed ‘mod #1 and mod#3″ which I hadn’t noticed and the times listed which seemed to be all within a few minutes around 9PM in May. That’s all. The rest is the saved and COPYRIGHTED (Hello?) blog written by Rose. So she posts a copyrighted blog article! My initial reaction stands from yesterda: this latest tidbit for the gossips is about Bonnie and that’s exactly what was taken from it by the gossips and haters. Nothing new here. Firefox is working better now with the blog but I still can’t backspace and fix a typo. :-). Anyway, I did notice this time she threw in mention about the ‘child’ exploitation allegation. After she received enough juicy comments against Rose, she THEN bothered to clarify that it had nothing to do with ‘R’. LOL. How malicious and thought-out. The damage was done. Why not REMOVE or CLARIFY within the article itself and/or correct it?? Then put the disclaimer after it?
The point of my blathering here is that I recognized the blog she had saved and to heck with copyright infringement. Yes, I do recall reading it once….I used to read the blog but could never figure out how to post on it. Ooops, now the backspacer is working to erace typos! Hmmmm. I have forgotten to note the date of the blog (I’m sure it was there) May 26th maybe? So I did find the place after searching and read all that from Rose. I had already read the Devin thing about the same subject–their (both of them) disapproval of the web domain site.
By that time I was more interested in the SUBJECT of the website–the ANS story and had never cared about all the in-fighting between two of them against one of them (Rose) in the least. I patiently waited to join the site, kept reading it as it began to grow and even managed to get in the chat but nobody was there. It took until August to finally ask for help in registering–it was a mess. I had signed up with Word Press and it didn’t work. Word Press told me ‘too bad’ take it up with the site owner.
The rest is history.

It said Bonnie blogged, not true as Rose’s article states here. They saw the thank you email that Bonnie sent several people and was posted on some sites.
In my opinion, this is the leap in attempting to say HKS lied about Bonnie bloggiing. To the best of my knowledge Bonnie didn’t blog nor did she ever form a blog for her brother.
THE PRO HKS SITES and MANY OTHERS CREATED THEMSELVES BY THE BLOGGERS THAT WANTED IT! IT WAS THE BLOGGERS NOT HAPPY AND THEY REFUSED TO SEND anything to that other site owner or anyone she said to, not she refused to handle.
The other site now says: “Now you see, the point of my emailing Howard’s attorney had nothing personally to do with “R” and her lifestyle.” AND HERE IS THE REASON THAT WAS HARPED ON NONSTOP DISCRIMINATION against difference of beliefs and followed by “that doesn’t matter”
Hope that fills in some of the gaps now on to discussing the court doucuments….

Thanks, yes I was hoping you could fill in the gaps as I hadn’t really followed any of it–I KNEW at the time it all went down (I went there briefly right in the midst of all the chaos) and had been in that chat with you and others who were asking what was going on. Same thing was happening at JD site–both sites were going anti-Howard. I was able to figur out that it had to do with the web domain for Rose and wondering at their thinking. I was also able to figure out about the research going on when I later read Bonnie’s posted comment about it was time to end it and she was sorry about the mix-ups and hurt feelings. Havana left a post on TMZ that tried to explain and clarify. The thing is this: most bloggers only want to discuss the ANS story and where it was headed–we don’t CARE about all that jealousy and in-fighting among website owners.
Guess my gut reactions were right on at the time–they were both doing a major turnaround and becoming anti-Howard; Rose was sticking to the story and said so, and the tsk tsking of the web domain site was just an excuse to sever ties and friendships that BLOGGERS couldn’t care less about. The research was just information all of us (including myself and others at TMZ were digging up and posting publicly about–we saved each other’s links and asked each other for the links when we needed them and worked TOGETHER (at TMZ).
This now simply confirms what I always knew, albeit the details are the fillers. Fact is, bloggers are where they wish to be and this website has grown and grown and some of us eagerly awaited the time when it opened its doors to us. Now, a successful site, linked from other blogs on the internet, celebrity news blogs, etc., Art Harris, with a large mix of readers and bloggers seems to me Rose topped them with this endeavor. This is a complex software and detailed and specific methodology of presenting articles, links, downloads of PDF legal documents, cases listed with identifying photos to distinguish between cases, statistics, counters, and on and on. You can get lost trying to click around the site. Fascinating!
Tomorrow is another day and I think the worst is behind all of us. We can look forward to next week’s conclusions at the inquest and take it from there.

Why keep it going…..do they love drama?…Alot of people say, “life is to short, forgive and move on.” While I think that is a good saying, I also say …”Life is to long.” So if you happen to live long enough, that is alot of time wasted on being angry. Rose thank you for this blog article. I had never heard of the legal term “chilling effect” and found it very interesting. I also found Jane D article to be right on about a lot of points she made. However there were certain crucial facts she has either failed to consider or is unaware of. I am too tired to say much more than I am really sick of all these blog site wars.

I’d like to know what communications Don Clark or any of O’Quinn’s people had with Jerry Brown or anyone from his office. I don’t think it was a coincidence that the doctors were raided in October, right before the inquest was to begin, and a full 8 months after Anna died. Does anybody know if the Freedom of Information Act would allow access to any of these communications, probably after their investigation is complete?
I guess the FOIA only applies to federal agencies, not state agencies like the Cal DOJ, so…I don’t know.

I think Rose’s blog article should be read again. I also think Art Harris has used the FIOA. D.A.R.E. info can be obtained. But as Rose has said, and I had laughed about, some of these dangerous bloggers have left a “trail” everytime they made a complaint or published a comment. There is no US Media allowed in the Inquest. I believe Magistrate Campbell was aware of the smear tactics and how the media was used to spread them and put a stop to it from the beginning for a fair and unbiased Inquest IMO!
So Lincoln is our source and I think it is great being that he exposed Rita and just happens dislikes HKS or seems like it in past….but I think he dislikes Don Clark as well now

Chicago. This has to do w/ the Drew Petersen case. Sad, so sad…they said they need to take DNA from Stacey’s parents &
her children to compare the remains w/ to see if it is her.

After the Einy and Kerry story about the gravesite, I questioned more things. Such as they harrassed Howard and the movies, sat next to him, etc. and then think about the fact that the ET crew was there and his friends. How did they do this?

I would prefer for the truth to be out there myself. I would have thought it important for Inquest bias…such as what if others besides the nannies were tampered with? So back to the chilling effect that you want to discuss I think. The “chilling effect,” could it be a different meaning for each individual person as to how they perceive it? This is the first time I have ever heard of it. Not sure but I would think it could have several meanings. I am trying to find out if we all have the same meaning. The Chilling Effect, to me, is what happens when people stalk, harrass, and threaten others in an effort to intimidate them into silence. This month, those other bloggers first targeted Art by posting the nasty articles about him (one of which, by the way, was the longest, most pointless, rambling diatribe against a single individual I’ve ever seen). Once he stopped posting about this story, then they went after this site and its members by digging up past arguments and negative feelings, copying and pasting others’ posts, posting things using others’ names, posting things out of context, threatening, insulting, etc., etc. It’s been an organized and planned effort to silence, or at the very least, distract, those who seek the truth, and would normally feel the freedom to post and discuss the truth. Who? A blogger with a grudge looking for revenge and to sabotage those she feels have done her wrong, and a group of bloggers determined to destroy one man and anyone who supports him. Two different agendas with a common goal. Why now? Well, the inquest is suppose to conclude next week. What better time than now to try to silence the truth, right? So…that’s all I have to say about that. Next.
I agree Pisces and it was done to further their claim of Jursidiction in Texas by bringing up “Team Texas” by claiming is was an “organized” blog/website that was working for Howard by way of Bonnie Stern. I also think it was a well organized and planned move to have QV rehash the “old” stuff at the time right before Howard’s depo.
I have said before I hope they don’t fall off their pedistal while stretching!!! What a stretch, huh?

My take:
This Chilling Effect works well, it succeeds as no other an can be applied generically in any situation. Pisces has specifically applied it in the way it was used this time, but it has been successfully used in the past in similar ways.
Goodbye and good luck–it was great interacting with all of you. It is now time to put this story away and to rest as far as I am concrned.

Beth I think I saw on the court document for Broward County it was first due for a hearing on Monday 28th but now has been put off again… Hopefully, it will be resolved without ever going to court

i don’t see how that can be off topic lol. One of the MANY main subjects of all this includes internet harrassment and how the laws need to be updated to stop it from happening. Glad Canada is taking a stand as well!

I would not like for them to be able to testify by video, they could say anything. They have gotten away with robbery already and nothing has been done. I want them in the Bahamas where they can be locked up after they try to lie.

So sorry to see Lauren leaving us. I know she was there for me when I was confused or needed someone to explain something to me. I appreciate her knowledge of documents, etc. I will miss her input and hope she comes back from time to time for a visit.

I am leaving for a quick overnight trip, I will say more tomorrow on the chilling effect. I guess I had it right, just wanted to make sure I read it correctly. I think I take it more personal than others, which to me is odd, because this is cyberspace. But then again it is one man’s injustice and his life, and that is real. I have so much compassion for this story, I often wonder and ask myself, why.

It won’t be finished until Rita Cosby has to pay for writing that book and holding anna’s and Howard life so much less than her own.
When lawyers using the chilling effect to change the perception of truth are brought out into the open and stopped.
When Daniel is remembered as a young man with problems that could have been helped with more knowledge about prescription drugs and the special hell that young men seem to fall into.
When Danielynn gets her mothers marshall money.
When Howard is finally able to go on without waking everydayto work on a court case that shouldn’t have been bought.
When Virgie realises that she lost a daughter that she should have been proud of instead of hating.
No the story is only part the way through and if the people that have followed this story because they didn’t believe what was told to them by the press and the internet let them get away with it, who is next and how far will they go??
