Each one spent almost a third of their lives with the other, and still people doubt their love, do you?

Anna said many times the only people she could ever trust was J. Howard Marshall, Daniel, and Howard K. Stern. Even after she became famous and her first husband died, she was still used and abused by many – but not Howard K. Stern. Still people doubt their love and her love for Howard K. Stern, do you?

Once again today, Howard K. Stern will make his lonely journey to the cemetery with Anna’s favorite flowers. Once again, he will make sure it is when there is no media to catch this private moment. Once again, he will never take Splash or anyone that he could “sell a photo op” and still people doubt their love, do you?

Today, I hope Larry Birkhead will show videos of Anna to Dannielynn, the daughter Anna wanted so badly. He too grieves the lost of Dannielynn’s mom. Larry and Howard both work to restore Anna’s image as a living legacy for Dannielynn, and still people doubt that Anna Nicole Smith ever loved Howard, do you?

Two men once bitter rivals, on two separate coasts and two countries each remembering this day and birthdays past spent with Anna Nicole Smith. Larry will spend it with Dannielynn showing her pictures and videos of Anna Nicole and her beautiful child like voice reaching from heaven to touch the daughter she so loved. I am willing to bet that when Howard makes his lonely visit to the cemetery today with flowers from him and some from Dannielynn people will say Anna and Howard never loved each other, will you?

Anna Nicole Smith would have been forty today and would have had a daughter running through her home helping mom celebrate, but instead Dannielynn’s dad will be showing her movies of her mom. That is one way he can keep Anna alive for Dannielynn so that she can remember what a beautiful mom she had. I remember Larry Birkhead’s eulogy and that Anna loved many people in different ways. I think he was right. Yet still people doubt that with a third of their lives spent together that Anna ever loved Howard, do you?

Howard K. Stern will see that today is special for Anna, with her favorite pink flowers, and then he will retreat to the seclusion of Horizons to grieve and remember, and yet people still doubt he loved Anna or that Anna loved Howard, do you?

Tomorrow Howard K. Stern will wake up alone and celebrate his 39th birthday, one that he and Anna had celebrated together for almost a third of their lives and yet still people doubt that they loved each other, do you?

My birthday wish to Howard K. Stern is that, “May the Caribbean breeze that Anna so loved touch your face today and with that you feel Anna’s touch. May knowing that one day your name will be cleared and Anna’s legacy restore be of some small birthday comfort these two days. May knowing that Anna would want you to go on, would want the man who stood by her side and protected her for almost a third of their lives together find inner peace. May those who doubt the love the two of you shared, look deep within their own souls and see if they are even capable of that kind of love, for I feel they are not. May each time someone doubts Anna and your love, a soft whisper reaches out to them and says, ‘Howard and Anna knew and lived the truth, they loved each other’.” Yet some people still doubt this love, do you?

This is one more holiday to endure, to go through to grieve, as you must, Howard. Also, remember Anna’s laughter. May you hear that today in the Caribbean breeze and know she is still with you and will remain there in your heart and it matters not what anyone else thinks. You and Anna lived the truth. Make your lonely nighttime visit to take her the flowers she loved and know she is looking down at you with love.

Does anyone doubt the love that Anna Nicole Smith and Howard K. Stern had? For if they do, then they themselves must be incapable of that kind of love and I pity them. Do any of the rest of you doubt the love these two people shared during a third of their lives?

May a very happy and gentle birthday of good memories and a love that few find in life comfort you today and tomorrow Howard. May it restore your spirit and strength and may those who doubt your love for Anna or her love for you open their eyes if only for a few seconds and see the truth of your love for each other. Few find that in a lifetime, and the two of you, through such trials and tribulations, lived the truth. In the end, that truth is all that matters.

Happy 40th Birthday Anna Nicole Smith and Happy 39th Birthday Howard K. Stern, may you find some joy and comfort in the memories this day past when you and Anna share a third of your lives together!

We will continue this way through this week and hope the server gets things fixed, the owner of the host company we are with is putting in long hours trying to get ALL of the sites he hosts up and running.

However, if this problem is NOT fixed and stable by Dec. 3 we will move this site to a new server so it is working correctly WAY before the Inquest starts again.

When the new mail server for our hosting company went online on Wednesday November 21 a chain reaction problem occurred that no one could have for seen. If you have joined this site since November 18 and cannot log into your account you will need to “register again” or email webmaster @ rosespeaks.com.

Therefore, we are having problems IN ALL AREAS OF THIS SITE!

We are in the process tonight [November 25] at creating several options in all of this; everything can be “managed” and basically be routed around the main part of the site. EXCEPT for the downloads of documents, but we can put them in a location on the site where you can download them and it not be connected to the PHP and Word Press part of the site. We are in the process of trying this out tonight and if it works we can by-pass the download problem for now and for the articles and such we will just duplicate them on both sides of the “time warp” of pre-November 18 so it to has caught up to current articles on the blog and main site. Ken is talking with the host admin (owner) about an ETA for this problem to be fixed. If it is NOT stable by tomorrow morning then we will go to a plan B or C here for all of you.

As of today, November 25, the hosting company began to work on it at about 8 AM this morning and as of yet has no ETA for us.

They are saying the “sites” appear to be jumping from one group of DNS servers to another, which “makes no sense to them”. When asked what could cause this, they said, “have no idea but we have our best geeks on it now”. Not comforting to us with no ETA as to when today all will be back to normal, but then I am not known for “patience.” It appears right now the site is no longer rolling back and then resetting it self, right now it seems to be stuck in the set back position of November 18, which means it is a mess with the downloads, forums, member list, pms, articles, blogs etc. affected.

As background, history from the front page of our site here is what we know:

For some reason the web site has rolled back to or about 11-16-2007 on the main site and download and about 11-18-2007 on blog articles and responses. Thus, the conclusion of the host company is that this is a DNS problem of the site(s), with the domains attempting to jump from one server numeric IP to another one and then back again.

Therefore, the articles are gone from the main site as well as articles and responses on the blog at times and they all reappear at times.

When the site have been rolling itself back to November 18, for the most part the blog articles right now are unable to be read because of the crazy lettering it has been replaced with throughout ALL of the blogs and articles…

When the site has been rolling itself BACK to November 18, files to download is the area most affected because a problem right now they are on the server but cannot be downloaded and if you go to the download part, you will see a string of php error code. Thus, tonight [November 25] we are attempting a maneuver to go around the PHP download coding.

It began doing this on November 22 before 9 AM CST then corrected it self about 10:15 AM CST and happened again, at 8:45 CST U. S. and then corrected itself about 3 AM CST November 23. Then on November 23 it rolled back about noon and did not reset it self until midnight; we had hoped that was it but as you can see it has happened again with a roll back at 3 PM CST yesterday [November 24], and seems to be “stuck there for now”. Hopefully, now that the server tech gurus are working on it today the server will reset itself again to the actual data and will then be stable for us.

If the guru geeky techs cannot get it back to the “real time” and it does not correct itself, again we will not be able to recover the member list, the pms. or the forums from before Nov. 16.

WE HAVE AS OF NOVEMBER 24, BACKED UP EVERYTHING SINCE NOVEMBER 18, AND WILL CONTINUE TO DO THAT THROUGOUT TODAY [NOVEMBER 25] SO IF WE HAVE TO WE CAN MANUALLY REDO THE SITE AND ALL OF ITS CONTENT.

As we have posted before the only things we will not be able to recover or pms, members who have signed up since November 18 and forum entries. Yes, this is driving us nuts… LOL.

OUR SERVER PROVIDER IS WORKING ON THE PROBLEM AS I TYPE THIS!

THE DOWNLOAD SECTION IS STILL A MESS EACH TIME THE SERVER RESETS IT SELF BACKWARDS TO NOVEMBER 17, YOU ALL HAVE OUR APOLOGIES AND WE ARE TRYING SEVERAL TEMPORARY SOLUTIONS.

In Lin Wood’s latest filing he alleges the O’Quinn Law Firm has taken all the power that they fought other litigants, like Dow Chemical, which they brought Dow Chemical to their knees forcing a bankruptcy, and are using that FULL FORCE against one lone man Howard K. Stern.

Why would John O’Quinn, who is a self-described legendary litigator, winning some of the largest verdicts and settlements in the country, put so many resources and so much money into destroying with FULL FORCE one lone man, Howard K. Stern?

In the latest filings, there is a hint that it could be for control over any monies paid via the J. Howard Marshall lawsuit.

The Big Bombshell besides the amount of money The O’Quinn Machine is willing to throw away to destroy this man, is the allegation that the O’Quinn Machine cooperated in helping Rita Cosby with the book ~ The Blonde Ambition.

In the allegations for the first time we get a glimpse, that one of O’Quinn’s private investigators was the source for much of Rita Cosby’s book. Many of us witnessed Don Clark’s venomous denial that he was the source for Rita’s Book.

Do the rest of you remember when Don Clark got into a screaming match with the very proper Bahamian attorney Elizabeth Thompson on Geraldo At Large? As Shakespeare once wrote “The Lady doth protest to much, methinks?”. Could that possibly apply to the man, Don Clark, “The Man doth protest to much, methinks?” We all know Don Clark is the PI working for O’Quinn’s Law Firm and if Don Clark is not the PI for O’Quinn, then which investigator on O’Quinn’s payroll was the source for Rita Cosby?

The amended Nov. 9th filing on behalf of Howard K. Stern provide more transcripts of shows than the original filing did. In the amended complaint it appears to us by adding the full O’Quinn Law Firm, Lin Wood is adding Neil McCabe, Don Clark, expenses and all.

Wasn’t it Neil McCabe that we all saw in the Bahamas with Virgie Arthur standing next to him in the Splash interview during the recent jury selection for the inquest? Could Neil McCabe become the spokesperson now for O’Quinn’s Machine and his NON-STOP FULL FORCE AGENDA?

There is no way in my opinion, that O’Quinn would spend this much money because he cares about a grandmother. So what payoff is he expecting from his investment?

Continue to check frequently at Art Harris’ site as we expect more bombshells to hit in this desperate attempt to destroy Howard K. Stern no matter the cost.

I have received some copies of postings from TMZ bloggers and I have to say I laughed until I cried. However, I am amazed in a recent letter writing campaign that this very obscure site [Rose Speaks] was referred to as a “Well known Site”. So thank you everyone for that over blown statement about this site.

Many of you have emailed us angry about Mr. Nazarian comments about “drink the Kool-Aid”. As a public service announcement to our visiting TMZ bloggers, yes the term drink the Kool-Aid came from the horrific tragedy at Jones Town in 1978. However, it now means; those who drink the Kool-Aid give up their right of independent thinking and are willing to follow some nut case like a guru and go over a cliff like sheep. Sadly that is what the swarm on TMZ bloggers that spout hate is hoping the rest of you will drink their Kool-Aid and follow them blindly, swarm as they want you to as worker ants or bees, but NEVER think for yourself. Express your opinion and any subject and any person, but do it in an informed way.

ANYONE CAN SUBMIT ARTICLES TO THIS SITE FOR PUBLICATION. We do not believe in censorship and try hard to not practice that, just remember when you submit articles that we do not tolerate hate, racism or bashing others on this site or any attempt to encourage any hate based actions.

Further, more NO ONE sponsors this site, and we are not affiliated with anyone or any other site! Rose Speaks is a site that stands alone, on its own, I am a simple woman that began to dig for “my own truth” back in February and I let the facts lead me to what I used as my truth. For the woman that signs as “Kerry” with the police officer for a husband (if any of that is true), don’t worry hon. there is no way I am ever going to believe that Mr. Nazarian ever threatened or said anything like, “Kerry, you are being watched seriously”. It just does not fit with the M. O. of someone of Mr. Nazarian’s caliber, so if that does exist I would love you to point me in the right direction to find that.

As far as Mr. Nazarian if you want to learn more about him, I suggest you view the video done by the L. A. Times Editorial Multimedia in 2006. You might email the L. A. Times if you cannot find the clip in their archives. It gave me a real insight into not only Mr. Nazarian but also other private investigators and what they do. So to hunt it down and watch; it is called educate yourself, thus your posts will not look so goofy.

There are other articles to read about Mr. Nazarian and the web site called Nazarian and Associates. These articles and Mr. Nazarian’s business site is where you can read, to learn more about Mr. Nazarian and his very select client base. One is an L A. Times article from Aug. 2006.

He works for and with the rich and famous, and his specialty is women who have been screwed over by soon to be ex-husbands. He has a blog called DESPERATEEXES. Be sure to begin to read his articles on his blog today, they are classy, clever and purely delightful some are quite creative “legal revenge” thinking topics. God I wish I had this site when going through my divorce with my ex-abuser, but alas, it did not exist then. We, here at Rose Speaks, suggest you visit his blog, what a great gentleman to reach out to help women during one of the roughest times in any woman’s life.

Per the L. A. Times article; “The majority of Nazarian’s clients are women, and it’s easy to see why. ….Women gravitate toward him because they feel comfortable with him, attorney Meyer said. It’s hard when a woman goes through a divorce. They’ve relied on their husbands, and now they’re adrift. John comes through for them.”

This chapter begins with the fact that three sheriff’s cars, a police van, and five motorcycle police accompanied the hearse carrying Anna. The chapter then has about three paragraphs stating what Mr. Milstein said to the outside crowd once the hearse was allowed on the church property approximately two hours late. Yes, I will get into Ms. Cosby’s take on why it was late with my own take on how she presents “that little fact” in the debunking of this chapter.

Ms. Cosby ends this part of the chapter with a statement to get the Aruba case in her book, perhaps that is why Natalee Holloway’s mother was at the October 3rd party for Ms. Cosby? “Fearful of becoming another Aruba, a reference to be unsolved Natalee Holloway case, islanders were worried about how the story might affect tourism on their idyllic vacation spot.” Wonder how they, [the Bahamians], feel now after what appears to be an attempt by Ms. Cosby to influence or tamper with witnesses there?

Ms. Cosby, in my opinion gives us a tad of her motivation and favoritism in the book with this simple statement. “In fact, a few days before the funeral, when I was interviewing Virgie Arthur outside the main downtown courthouse in Nassau among a pack of many other reporters and cameras, the scene turned into sheer bedlam.” Later on in this chapter though Ms. Cosby makes no bones about being a Virgie supporter in my opinion.

For some strange reason out of context to the rest of this chapter, Ms. Cosby puts the following “exclusive from Ford Shelley to her”? “Howard K Stern had been privately floating the idea to Ford Shelley that he would give up Anna’s new boat and her new yet to be lived in waterfront home in Nassau in exchange for keep Horizons, the house in which Howard was currently living and the one Ben and Ford were trying to kick him out of.” I have not heard this anywhere else have any of you? Therefore, it is my conclusion based on as a favor to Ms. Cosby’s good friends G. Ben Thompson and Stancil Ford Shelley Jr. she felt the need to give them paper space. However, she does not bother to tell us the “rest of the story”. That every court battle in the Bahamas over Horizons since before Anna’s death and ongoing, the court has continued to rule in favor of first Anna Nicole and now the Estate, which is Dannielynn. So how could Howard K. Stern have tried to cut a deal for Horizons when it was in her name as was the boat and the other home and was NEVER in Howard K. Stern’s name. How can one bargain with what one does not own?

Alas let’s go back to this first part of the chapter about Richard Milstein. “The night before the funeral, Howard presented Larry with a contract and tried strong-arming him into singing a $ 250,000 deal with Entertainment Tonight. The arrangement gave the media outlet sole access to the funeral with the proceeds supposedly going to a trust fund for little Dannielynn. Several people involved feared that even if Entertainment Tonight had good intentions, the parties were wary the money might not end up where Howard claimed, or he would cut a separate deal on the side. According to sources close to the case, Richard Milstein himself was sending around the contract to the parties. Both Virgie’s and Larry Birkhead’s legal teams were suspicious of Howard and, by now, also Milstein. Neither Virgie nor Larry wanted to sign the document. Milstein told the parties he also didn’t want to be the one to have to sign it, leading some to think that he didn’t want to get his hands dirty with any media related deal.” One of my pet peeves with this chapter I am just going to get out of the way here. How many in Ms. Cosby’s world of investigating for this book does the sum of “several”, “sources”, “many”, “team” and “others” add up to in real independent sources for Ms. Cosby’s facts?

Well we now know part of this is true; there was a media deal with ET according to recent articles about Milstein suing Dannielynn’s Trust Fund. The facts we now know are that the contract was signed on March 1, I had not read anywhere whether it was $250k or $300k, only that it was to pay for the funeral and the rest to go into a trust account to be managed by Milstein on behalf of Dannielynn. If I remember correctly, Howard K. Stern went this direction so that no one could say he was cashing in on the funeral. Sadly by doing what he thought would go into a trust to grow in funds to care for Dannielynn, is now tangled up and being sued for by the court appointed Ad Litem turned trustee Milstein. Do any of the rest of you get the feeling that Howard K. Stern could not have won this situation no matter what he did? In Cosby’s own words; “Several people involved feared that even if Entertainment Tonight had good intentions, the parties were wary the money might not end up where Howard claimed, or he would cut a separate deal on the side.” If he had kept the money and invested it for Dannielynn’s future, he would have been accused of embezzling from Dannielynn. By approaching the one person who seemed to be a totally disinterested and unbiased party as Milstein appeared to be, Howard K. Stern has sadly seen one more person sue this child not even 15 months old yet.

My next set of questions here is “who” told Ms. Cosby these things. “Milstein told the parties he also didn’t want to be the one to have to sign it, leading some to think that he didn’t want to get his hands dirty with any media related deal.” That might become important in recovering part of these funds for Dannielynn. We now know that although at the time, Larry Birkhead appeared not to care about Dannielynn’s future, in court filings later by Opri (see the June 6 response of Opri to Birkhead’s suit in our download section), that Opri was not about to let Birkhead sign anything that would not cut her in for her 10% media fee. You have to wonder at the greed of some of these people and the total disregard for Dannielynn by “lawyers”. How could Opri claim to care about Dannielynn but not want her client to see that any money received for the funeral rights go into a trust fund for Dannielynn? It was when I read that in Opri’s filings in the California suit brought by Birkhead against Opri, that my respect for Larry Birkhead began to grow. He was not the cold one to the daughter he thought was his as many of us thought, it was Opri, not wanting to share any of the potential loot with a baby. In my opinion, that speaks volumes for all involved in this part of this sad saga. Finally again Ms. Cosby says; “Several people involved feared”, are these new or different “several people”? Or the same grouping of people; Opri/Speer(s), Virgie/O’Quinn, G. Ben Thompson/Stancil Ford Shelley Jr., and if they are “new people” or even added “people to this mix”, it would have been nice if any of them would have gone on the record with Ms. Cosby for her book and not hidden behind the vague term of “people”. It would have also been more fair and easier to considered it “as investigative journalism no matter where the facts led”. If Ms. Cosby had told us who the contract with Splash was for the still shots of the funeral. Was that Virgie since she seems to have a lot of good friends at Splash; Birkhead since Mark Speer(s) has come out and said that Birkhead had a relationship with them; or someone else and if so then who? Where did that money go? Did it go into the same trust fund as the ET money or somewhere else? If somewhere else is there an accounting for it and whose pocket that this money finally ended up in? Ms. Cosby chose not to touch on the Splash contract at all thus leaving me to believe it was not Howard K. Stern nor Larry Birkhead who got that money. If it had been, in my opinion, I am sure she would have included that to point at later and say “hey here are the facts of other money (fill in the blank) pocketed for this additional contract”. Just one of those odd facts that was left out in Ms. Cosby’s book.

The next part I am going to debunk is this statement by Ms. Cosby; “Though Milstein had been visibly cold to Howard K Stern during the Florida trial, by the funeral they seemed like old chums. During the service, Richard Milstein sat next to Mark Steines, co-anchor of Entertainment Tonight.” I did not notice Mr. Milstein being “cold” towards any of the different parties, even when it was obvious to me that Virgie was not being honest about her good friend from Splash (which by the way was also left out of this book), he was cordial. During the appeal process, he shook hands with Howard. K. Stern and set next to him and on the other isle away from Virgie. So did Ms. Cosby sleep through this part? Or is there some other “reason” she chose to remember it with “blinders” on and not as the investigation award winning journalist she touts on the cover of her book.

Ok get the barf buckets out for this next bit. About Ms. Cosby coming to the funeral as Virgie”s guest, yea we all remember that. I remember her gloating on international TV that she was the ONLY reporter invited to go to the funeral. Do any of you wonder why she did not go as Opri’s guest? Any way about Ms. Cosby and the funeral here goes; “But when I arrived at the bottom of the church steps, I soon discovered my name was not on the list. I didn’t find out until later that Milstein and Howard K Stern’s attorneys had tried feverishly to remove my name, only to be overridden by the other parties who stated that the funeral should not be closed off to people they trust. I also later discovered that as part of the carefully negotiated funeral deal, the various authorized parties agreed that two of them (of Howard, Virgie, and Larry) had to strike a name from the list in order for that person’s invitation to be rescinded. Larry told me that Howard pleaded with him to strike my name, as Howard wanted Entertainment Tonight to have the exclusive, but Larry insisted on keeping me on the list. And Virgie was not budging at all.” If that is a true statement, I bet Larry Birkhead now regrets that decision. Need I add more then, in my opinion, Ms. Cosby is a crass bleach blond with no manners as long as she gets that sensationalism tabloid style “story”. By the way what is Ms. Cosby talking about each person had to strike a name from the list, was this like “pulling a name out of a hat”? This part of the chapter made NO sense to me at all.

Then I guess we need to do a tad more educating here. Ms. Cosby tells us next in the book the following from our dear South Carolina good ole boys. “Ford Shelley and his family were also supposed to go to the funeral, but were told by Howard the night before that he changed his mind. Howard said the church was full, which was far from the truth. After the secret meeting in Howard’s hotel room in Florida, Howard was arguing again with Ben Thompson and Ford Shelley over who owned the house, which Howard wanted to now desperately keep, even if it was only to save face with the public. Howard had in fact told Ford that he had contacts with certain Bahamian officials and Ford might be arrested if he dared step into the Bahamas. Ford was worried his family would be in danger if he came to the island, and didn’t push it, therefore missing his chance to bid his final farewell to a dear friend.”

Ok where do we start with the above mess. First Ms. Cosby, hello did you not watch the Horizons tape filmed taken by Ford Shelley during his little stop over at Horizons after Anna’s death and given to Fox? I remember the one right after Daniel was buried where Ford Shelley tried to serve eviction papers and Anna through him off of the property? Did you forget that good friend Ford Shelley and daddy-in-law had the power turned off twice with a small baby inside? I guess, in your opinion even though Anna Nicole has won every court date against G. Ben Thompson and now the Estate has until G. Ben Thompson dropped all of his claims and is now suing everyone, kind of like Mark Hatten vs. the world in fact you have your story and your sticking to it. Why change to facts this late in the book. Hello, Ms. Cosby, they are suing Dannielynn, what part of breaking and entering and stealing and selling stolen property did you miss on the around the clock coverage. I think Howard K. Stern might have been a tad sterner then “sorry there is no room”, how about more like, give Dannielynn back those things that belong to Anna Nicole and dropped your suit because of all of the things you did to Anna Nicole. Remember Ms. Cosby, there were restraining orders posted at every entrance to Horizons and still they went in; ransacked the house; stole everything that they could carry out with four people; and as Ford Shelley likes to brag four hours. Now Ms. Cosby, do you really think Anna Nicole consider Ford Shelley and family “dear friends”, cause if you do, I suggest a refresher course in not only journalism 101; but how about “reading people’s body language” 101; or just simply reading court papers 101. Not to mention that G. Ben Thompson and Ford Shelley and crew did not have the time to go to Daniel’s funeral though invited to comfort their “dear friend”, so exactly why should they show up now?? I remember that being covered, I guess Ms. Cosby was on the beach that day. Oh and about Howard K. Stern saying; “Howard had in fact told Ford that he had contacts with certain Bahamian officials and Ford might be arrested if he dared step into the Bahamas.” Could Ms. Cosby had got confused here, wasn’t it good ole G. Ben Thompson that had all of the contacts in the Bahamas going all the way back to his drug smuggling days. If Art Harris could find that out, couldn’t Ms. Cosby being in the Bahamas with records at her very fingertips to check on? Ms. Cosby claimed in interviews she decided to write the book in June, but by June 19 per an exclusive by Art Harris, she could have easily added this to her book if she was in deed trying for an unbiased book, following the “facts” where they led her. Not to mention ET found the records and ask G. Ben Thompson about it during their interview with him, even I was able to do a search and find the records. So Ms. Cosby is to have us believe that she never crossed any of those facts in her investigation of this case or the people involved. Yea, and a tad of swamp land also, I would guess.

Going right along here with the day of the funeral, we have Ms. Cosby giving us a play by play inside the church. “Howard, as I discovered, had convinced Larry to relinquish 45 of his 50 allotted seats so that Howard could accommodate all his guests on one side. Howard had 95 seats; Larry had 5. It was supposed to have been 50/50.” Where do I start here Ms. Cosby, originally Howard K. Stern I thought had asked for each of them to have 100 people so more of Anna Nicole’s friends could come. That had been over ridden by Milstein, remember the guy the judge appointed to “take care of the funeral”; they did not agree to 50/50, it was 1/3 per those three people. Virgie got 50 seats; Larry got 50 seats; and Howard K. Stern on behalf of all of Anna’s friends, got 50 seats. I thought it was gracious of Larry Birkhead to give up 45 seats so more of ANNA NICOLE’S FRIENDS could come. Hello earth to Ms. Cosby did you forget to read your own notes about who was in charge of the funeral and who had final say on which party got what that day?

“Anna would have wanted a large funeral, Jackie Hatten said. She also would have wanted to be buried in an all-white casket with pink satin inside! Why was there a brown casket and closed services if Howard was really doing what Anna wanted? If that was really the goal. Peter Nygard agrees. Anna would have wanted to lie in state, he told me. She would have wanted people walking by that casket for days.”

Besides what I have already said, Milstein called the program and shots for the funeral, all Larry Birkhead, Virgie Arthur and Howard K. Stern could do was make the most out of what Milstein allowed. Now why did Virgie decide it would be better to have 1/3 of the church empty then to have Anna Nicole’s friends allowed to come? Dear, dear, mommie dearest always at her best for her baby girl. Did Ms. Cosby not notice that it was Virgie who had chosen that 1/3 of the church would remain empty and thus deprived 40 additional friends of Anna Nicole from attending. Then on to what Hatten and Nygard has to say, AGAIN Milstein called the shots; Howard K. Stern did the best he could to abide by Anna’s wishes within the constrains of what Milstein approved. How the hell would Jackie know what kind of casket Anna wanted? Did she remember that Anna and Daniel both had a PHOBIA about bugs, and thus the caskets had to be lined with lead, air tight, bug free for eternity. What Anna would have wanted and what Milstein approved of probably was not very close together, but golly gees do we blame Howard K. Stern for ALL things here?

Then Ms. Cosby goes into all of Howard K. Stern’s friends were calling Virgie names and wanting to start the funeral without her; no kidding; and wanted to hijack the hearse and the body; casket and all. Per Ms. Cosby they were even discussing how good Howard would look in the press if Virgie was a no show. Some how that picture just does not match the pictures shown of Howard K. Stern that day, he did not appear to me that day of “showing joy”. Ms. Cosby he just loved the woman he was going to bury that day, have you no shame? Why is Howard K. Stern such fair game in your “who dunnit” book? Here is one true thing that probably in my opinion Ms. Cosby did say in this chapter albeit out of context. “David Giancola, director of Illegal Aliens, Anna’s last film, told me, he was infuriated that Virgie made them sit in church and wait while Anna’s body sat outside in a hearse.” I think most of us “normal people” were horrified that Virgie held the funeral up so long and had to make her grand entrance right behind the casket like the Queen mother. Hello again Ms. Cosby, she let her daughter set out in a hearse in the hot sun for almost 2 hours where it did not have permission to turn into the church parking lot yet, while Virgie once again tried to get the whole spotlight on her. I did not even know any of these people and I was beyond being stunned when I realize that Anna Nicole was being left out in the hot sun because of a mother she had been estranged from for over 10 years wanted her moment in the spotlight.

Then of course it would be hard for Virgie to grab the spotlight from Ms. Cosby, I can’t even begin to tell you how this next part of chapter 11 made me feel, it was beyond anger, it was out and out loathing. “[Ron Rale] came over and asked me if I knew where Virgie was or if she was even coming. He said he had heard some buzz that Anna Nicole’s mother was trying to stop the burial. In fact, I knew where Virgie Arthur was. Virgie was at the Bahamian courthouse filing a last minute petition to put a stop to the burial. As her daughter’s body lay inside a mahogany coffin in the back of a hearse parked in the hot Bahamian sun, I stalled Ron Rale with a few questions, and then told him what I knew. He ran to the front right side of the church (Howard’s side) where I watched him tell Howard the news as he sat in the front pew. Ron then returned to the back of the church and asked me questions about the filing. Seeing this as an opportunity to talk face to face with Howard, I smiled and said, If Howard wants to know, why don’t you have him come back here and talk to me himself.” Are we to believe at this point that ONLY Ms. Cosby knew what Virgie Arthur was up to, not another soul on that island in the media or at the church knew anything? Ms. Cosby held the keys to the funeral going forward and in my opinion, the above shows how far she was willing to go to get to talk to Howard K. Stern. Repeating that part; “He [Ron Rale] said he had heard some buzz that Anna Nicole’s mother was trying to stop the burial.” Oh wait now she is saying Ron Rale had heard this also, so Ms. Cosby did not hold the magic keys? It is “nice” that at least Ms. Cosby does acknowledge; “As her daughter’s body lay inside a mahogany coffin in the back of a hearse parked in the hot Bahamian sun” Then Ms. Cosby wants to paint this picture; “He [Ron Rale] ran to the front right side of the church (Howard’s side)” So was Mr. Rale running up and down the aisle or was he possibly skipping down the aisle and back to Ms. Cosby so she might tell Mr. Rale about her [Ms. Cosby's] “scoop” or the keys to the funeral that Ms. Cosby implies she held. Somehow, I just can’t picture Mr. Rale running in a church can you? Then finally comes the sickest thing Ms. Cosby says in this chapter if there can only be one really sick thing; “Seeing this as an opportunity to talk face to face with Howard, I smiled and said, If Howard wants to know, why don’t you have him come back here and talk to me himself.” Talking to Howard K. Stern was SO important to Ms. Cosby that day she would torment a man in grief stricken autopilot into coming to her in a whim as she demanded to find out what Ms. Cosby knew. Can anyone vouch for Ms. Cosby that this happened? There are so many other fantasies in this book could she perhaps have dreamt this one up as well? If she did use this to force Howard K. Stern to “grovel to her” while Anna baked in the hot sun and the funeral was held up by Virgie; then $60 million is NOT near enough to sue her and her publisher for. Ms. Cosby goes on to paint her perfect picture of evil incarnated in Howard K. Stern with this; “Howard sauntered to the back of the church, wearing ribbons of black and pink on his lapel.” Howard K. Stern “sauntered”? Give me a break Ms. Cosby, in all of this I have never seen Howard K. Stern sauntered, how despicable that you could even write that in your book; even hint it was based on unbiased reporting; and following the trail where ever it led. Give us a break do you think we all just fell off of the turnip truck?

“Meekly he [Howard K. Stern] asked, When is she getting here? We can’t keep holding this thing up. I said I didn’t know, that I thought she was only a few minutes away. He then said in a huff, We’re going to set a deadline. We’re not waiting. He turned to Ron Rale and gave a nod.” Ok this is not even a D rated flick here. Howard K. Stern, sauntered; meekly asked; and then was in a huff and gave an almost God Father type order? Are we to believe that Ms. Cosby saw that many different personalities in Howard K. Stern in just those few minutes? Wasn’t Milstein and Moe sitting in the hot sun with Anna know what was the hold up? With all of the resources Mark Steines of ET had, did they [Howard K. Stern and the whole church] really only have Ms. Cosby to depend on for the “real facts”? How important Ms. Cosby wants us all to think she is by what she has to say about everyone in this chapter.

“Wheels up, boys Ron Rale said to the funeral directors. Let’s get this show on the road.” HUH???? Somehow that just does not ring true here, “Wheels up, boys. Let’s get this show on the road.” Wheels up like a plane and show on the road like a concert? Surely, you jest Ms. Cosby, and why didn’t some editor catch this self-pompous assessment of how you view yourself. Perhaps Ms. Cosby might have asked for a few unbiased people at the funeral that day to “vouch for her”. This just does not sound like Ron Rale or Howard K. Stern on the day they were burying Anna. In fact I can’t think of any funeral I HAVE EVER been to, that ANYONE said something like this. This in my opinion has to fall beyond the “who dunnit” novel and into the complete “bull shit” section.

How very, very important Ms. Cosby was at this funeral so important that; “One of the funeral directors then came over to me and whispered, What do you think I should do? They want this to go on without her. This is only going to happen once, I said. It would be really sad if a mother missed her own daughter’s funeral. He agreed and told me he was going to try to come up with some excuse to stall the increasingly loud clamoring from Howard and his people.” Give us this funeral directors name please Ms. Cosby. If you don’t have him willing to go on the public record here about taking instructions from you and not anyone else and conspiring with you to somehow “stall”; then your self image is of such a grandiose nature I have to wonder if you might need to have some medications adjusted.

“The crowd greeted Virgie Arthur with a resounding and loud chorus of thumbs down jeers. But she said she knew Anna would want her to fight to the bitter end. I know my daughter was supporting me as I walked into the church, even though no one else was, she said. When she was greeted by hundreds and hundreds of people booing her, she said The tension between the two sides of the church was palpable. Howard’s crowd glared at her from across the aisle in utter disgust.” And, this surprises you how Ms. Cosby? She left her daughter in the hot sun for almost two hours; she tried to upstage her daughter at her daughter’s own funeral; didn’t you feel just a tad of disgust also at that? How could Virgie possibly have known what Anna had wanted, she was ESTRANGED from Anna for over ten years, hello?? I have been estranged from my son for nine years; I love him; it hurts; but I would NEVER put what I wanted above those that know him now. A lot changes in ten years and on more then one occasion Anna Nicole had shared her child hood horrors, why didn’t you do any homework on this book with any of the “other side”? Why is it ALL spun to Opri, Virgie, and the S. C. crew? Did you EVER think, (think being the operative word here for Ms. Cosby), that some of this should have sent red flags off to you; that perhaps you might just try to get a few facts from people who were not biased and did not have their own personal agendas here?

I am going to skip the part of Ms. Cosby ranting about Larry Birkhead’s greed over the first picture of him and Dannielynn being worth a million dollars. Ms. Cosby says Larry Birkhead had a fight over whether Howard K. Stern would bring Dannielynn to the funeral. However, Ms. Cosby says; “That’s worth at least one million dollars right away, and probably another million more until she’s eighteen. Then, he [Larry Birkhead] spoke like a true paparazzi: That’s my shot.” Well children, I see a lot of checking the facts here on this, how about all of you? Did this come straight from Mark Speer(s) or was it Opri?

Continuing on in Ms. Cosby running this funeral it appears from this chapter at least, Ms Cosby just has to let us all know one more time (and a couple more later in this chapter), how important she was to this whole day. “the congregation joined in the song, What a Friend We have in Jesus, followed by Amazing Grace. Days earlier, both she [Virgie] and Larry Birkhead had individually asked me if I thought that they should speak at all and, if they did, my thoughts on what they should say. I told them both to speak from the heart and perhaps about the great things they deeply felt about Anna and their special memories.” On a personal side note here, my mother’s favorite hymn was, “What a Friend We Have in Jesus”; and a lot of us tear up to Amazing Grace don’t we?

“Larry Birkhead focused on Anna’s small-town side “one not as apparent to the public. Anna Nicole could often be misunderstood, he said. Birkhead, obviously emotional, noted the humble side of Anna by describing a scenario where she took little hotel ketchup packets and put them into her suitcase. He said they represented security, a security for Anna Nicole in a world that often seemed uncertain.” Another personal note here, that is very common with survivors of abuse, both childhood and adult abuse. Because I was homeless once for seven months after coming out of an E. R. beaten up, when I got the money I have always had a house and a spare, that Scarlet O’Hara thing, as God is my witness never again. Anna seemed to show text book signs of having been abused and very insecure as a child, to store things like ketchup packets would represent that she would never be hungry again I would imagine.

Then Ms. Cosby blasts Howard K. Stern’s eulogy, surprise, surprise, but funny, I still cry when I read it today. I found it heartfelt; determine to protect the woman he loved in death as he had in life; and pledging to both her and himself that some how some way he was going to get through all of this. I doubt Howard K. Stern on that day could ever imagine what the coming months would bring to him as he was never given time to even grieve. She [Ms. Cosby] put in selected parts of Howard K. Stern’s eulogy and left out large gaps; like, “I promise you when my work is done I will return to you and Daniel”. I remember the one [Howard's eulogy] where most of us that saw the ET special cried at and still do to this day. However, we should not be surprised that this very unbiased journalist had another entirely different take on that.

“I remember the Reverend asked the crowd, Where’s the humanity here? What’s wrong with you?” If I remember correctly didn’t the Reverend use those words about Virgie, keeping her daughter in the hot sun while she showed such little respect that, in my opinion, greed was continuing to push Virgie and not love of daughter. We need to remember that Virgie had been estranged from Anna for over ten years. Daniel had not made contact with Virgie even after becoming an adult. Did anyone bother with Ms. Cosby to ask a “simple why”. Are we to believe that Howard K. Stern was controlling Daniel with drugs also? There are so many “real questions” that an investigative reporter could have sought out if they had really been searching for the truth where ever it led them and not an agenda that needed “dust bunnies and cob webs” weaved into the story to prove those points.

Then we have this part; “Howard also clearly hated Debra Opri, his adversary in the paternity litigation. She was someone he knew he couldn’t win over. She wasn’t willing to cut any backdoor deals. And Larry knew of Howard’s disdain for Opri, which is perhaps why, at the reception after the funeral, an unusual conversation took place.” I get tired and I am sure all of you do also with the continued “earth to Rita” comments, but alas how else would you explain some of this. Ms. Cosby must be in a fog of fantasy or on another planet in my opinion. Duh, Debra Opri called Howard K. Stern a murderer about Anna Nicole Smith in the courtroom in Florida. Perhaps Ms. Cosby did NOT rank high enough on the “press guest list” of the court house to get a seat close enough to the action to hear Ms. Opri say that when she turned her back to the judge? If Ms. Cosby did in fact as other reporters had heard this then this goes to a real “duh WTF”? You are accused of murder before you can bury the woman you love and you are going to “love the person” that tried to make your life hell and begin the mantra of let’s all hate and lynch Howard K. Stern? I don’t think so. Not to mention that Opri refused to allow Larry Birkhead to put any money made from any of the pictures in a trust fund for Dannielynn. She [Opri] was threatening Howard K. Stern, trying to get him arrested and certainly trying him in public opinion and on the day Anna Nicole Smith was buried, Howard K. Stern is suppose to forgive, forget and embrace what is a viper! Are you nuts??? Am I the only one that remembers the media counting the number of times Debra Opri reached out to stroke Howard K. Stern’s arm in the parking lot of the funeral and from behind Howard K. Stern at the funeral? I recall clearly that being mentioned by every network other than Ms. Cosby and the speculation of what that might mean. I guess we now know it was about “media presence” and little more. How sad that a woman who helped push Anna Nicole Smith to the brink after Daniel’s death would expect to be welcomed with open arms at Anna’s funeral, and let’s don’t forget the humongous bill that Larry Birkhead received for attending the funeral with him, what a gal.

Ok deep breath here before I go over the edge with the lunacy I found in this chapter, another cup of coffee and on we go here to the home stretch.

“A most unusual conversation was overheard at this party by Larry’s security detail, Mark Speer, shortly before my arrival at the event. Mark Speer noted that Howard and Larry gave each other a big hug, and Larry apologized to Howard for bringing Debra Opri to the funeral, Opri had insisted, saying I’m not going to let you be there by yourself, especially with Howard. Larry told Howard, I’m sorry I had to bring her. It just wouldn’t look right if I didn’t have anybody there. Howard responded, I understand, we’ll get past it. And then, in a remark that didn’t sit well with Mark Speer, Howard told Larry We’ll take care of Debra.”

Where do we start with the above. First of all Larry Birkhead made no bones about it when he and Opri parted ways that it was him not Howard that was embarrassed by Opri insisting on going to the funeral. My opinion is like Ms. Cosby, Ms. Opri was NOT about to pass up a photo op and she knew camera’s from around the world would be at that funeral. Why not let Larry Birkhead’s sister or any family attend with Larry if Opri could get her and her guy Speer(s) in and seated squarely behind Howard K. Stern making sure the camera picked up each stroke of the arm that Opri bestowed on Howard K. Stern. Frankly I would probably have bitched slapped her hand away, but then Howard K. Stern has always had a lot more class in this horror tale then most of us could even begin to muster. You can tell he was raised with “good manners” go figure huh? I was raised with good manners and Ms. Cosby allegedly trying to bribe witnesses after the fact, what kind of manners or good up bringing does that reflect. I will make two additional comments. I think it is nice that Howard K. Stern put his differences aside to work with Larry Birkhead. What Ms. Cosby does NOT mention in her book is that Howard K. Stern filed for a DNA test of Larry Birkhead and Dannielynn, but then that would not have fed the sensationalism feeding frenzy of the infotainment era would it? Also this part; “And then, in a remark that didn’t sit well with Mark Speer,” Of course that did NOT sit well with Mark Speer(s) he was Opri’s employee; Opri’s all ever knowing spy; Opri’s boy; he was never Birkhead’s security person except when it worked for Opri. Why was there no disclaimer made that Speer(s) was Opri’s employee, Opri’s security person? Mark Speer(s) was Opri’s PI, why no disclaimer in the book as to who Mark Speer(s) really worked for albeit for free it would seem from his affidavits. That goes to another question why would a PI/Security person work for Opri for free? What might she [Opri] have on Mr. Speer(s). Now the next part here; “Howard told Larry We’ll take care of Debra.” With a bill like the one Opri sent Larry Birkhead, and with Howard K. Stern telling all of his lawyers to support Larry Birkhead in any possible way they can; perhaps that statement was the right one to make depending on what Larry Birkhead had felt safe to tell Howard K. Stern. Let’s remember they [Birkhead and Stern] were in very adversarial roles for many months so I am sure any trust took a LONG time for both of these guys to work on and it was only because they each loved Dannielynn enough to want to see her happy. When two people come together in reality for “the best interest of any child”, that shows great maturity in my book.

“I arrived at the reception late, after I finished my reports about the funeral and ran the taped interview I conducted after the service with Larry Birkhead. I found out later that Larry and his attorney Debra Opri had left shortly before my arrival when they heard Howard’s attorney, Krista Barth, was about to arrive.” Isn’t Krista Barth working with Larry Birkhead’s Florida attorneys right now on the Milstein bill? Also Ms. Cosby you and Opri can’t have this both ways, either Larry was at the reception or he did have the limousine drive at break neck speed to see that the media deal to pay Opri was completed on the day Anna Nicole Smith was buried. In Ms. Opri’s response to Larry Birkhead’s lawsuit against her, she [Opri] states that it was signed on the day of Anna’s funeral. Which by the way, Ms. Cosby in case you did not get that part, how tacky on Ms. Opri’s part to make sure that the over $1 million dollar deal was signed and delivered to her bank account the day of Anna Nicole’s funeral. What great human emotion that showed, and why didn’t you even touch on how that might have been better handled? Seems like everyone at that funeral including Ms. Cosby had their time clocks on that day and the meter running, everyone except Larry Birkhead and Howard K. Stern and their family and friends, that says volumes to me about the “feelings of that day”.

NEXT PART HERE IS THE FUN PART AND WHY I SUB TITLED THIS DEBUNKING AS CAT FIGHT!!!

“They didn’t want any drama, and knew that Krista Barth’s presence was sure to cause problems for them. I had said on-air that Howard’s eulogy was surprising and that it was a very strange, sort of surreal moment that many felt was inappropriate. Krista Barth did not like to hear any even partially negative comments about Howard and she was on the attack. Soon after I arrived at the reception, she sought me out. She tried to get Bahamian police to remove me from the premises, which fell on deaf ears. When that failed, Ron Rale and I went to talk in a private room and were soon joined by Krista Barth and my producer. We had a very frank discussion in which Barth told me she thought it was inappropriate the way I had described on television Howard’s loving, tender, heartfelt eulogy. I was stunned that she used those words to describe his angry tirade, and I told her that others had had the same sentiments of his words as I did. I also personally felt that my comments were quite diplomatic. I told her my job was to present what I saw, not to do P.R. for Howard K Stern. I reminded her that I had done some favorable stories about Howard recently and that my responsibility was to present the facts. How’d you even get to the funeral anyway? she demanded. I wasn’t even going to the funeral. I was invited, I laughed. You should get better connections. She didn’t think that was funny. I can’t believe you’d go as a guest of Virgie’s. I explained if Howard had invited me I’d have gone as his guest too, that any journalist would have seized the opportunity to be inside that church. She then asked me, how I had gotten into this party. Howard didn’t invite you. When I told her I had been invited by the actual owner of the house, she seemed surprised, but said, Well, it’s Howard’s party, so maybe you should leave. I told Krista Barth that I was planning on leaving soon anyway, but would take my time as I was going to talk to a few people before I left, including the person who, again, actually threw the party. I did just that and gave several people a friendly goodbye before heading out. Days later Entertainment Tonight spun a story about my crashing the party, which I found hilarious.”

Ah take a moment and just soak that up and enjoy. Before reading what Ron Rale said on Larry King Live on September 4. My only statement is a “party” is something given for a birthday or celebration like Ms. Cosby’s “party” in New York. A reception is usually the term used for a gathering of love ones after a funeral.

With that rant over here is the Larry King September 4 show and I quote the below from that interview:

LEVIN: When was the last time you and Howard saw Rita Cosby?
RALE: That would have been in the Bahamas. After Anna’s funeral, there was a gathering at a house, a very nice estate there. Cosby had been at the funeral. I believe she was invited by Virgie Arthur, the same person who filed a motion to try to stop the funeral, the day of the funeral. Suddenly we’re at the party, if you will, after. And all of Anna’s close friends and family are, you know, her side, Howard’s side, suddenly Rita Cosby comes in the party. And so I got assigned the task of bouncing her out. So I asked her to leave, and she wouldn’t. And it was — she was – it was almost embarrassing. It was like a high school party. I’m asking her to leave, please, don’t embarrass yourself. Just walk out. And she wouldn’t. So she’s walking around arguing with me. I’ve got these cameras from I think “E.T.” following us around. She took me into a little side room and she’s pleading to not be bounced out and I said nobody wants you here. You said offensive things. You shouldn’t be here. Please leave. And she wouldn’t leave. Suddenly I think Krista Barth come into the room with us and Krista Barth took it up a couple notches higher and they were face to face, I thought there was going to be a catfight. I said, look, Rita, walk out, save yourself the humiliation, and she finally left. That’s the last I saw of her.

I should just leave it like that and let you all bask in “CAT FIGHT”, but I have a few comments here about certain parts of this chapter. First quote up; “I had said on-air that Howard’s eulogy was surprising and that it was a very strange, sort of surreal moment that many felt was inappropriate.” Rita, Rita, Rita who are the “many”; is it 5 people, 20 people, 100 people, what number adds up to “many” to you? You just told us in this chapter that 1/3 of the seats were empty and that Howard K. Stern got a standing ovation at the church for his eulogy to Anna. Which by the way still makes me cry at what he said and I remember hearing you knock Howard K. Stern that day and thought what a bias report that was, wasn’t it about that day that MSNBC announced your contract would not be renewed at the end of March? So are we talking about a handful of people sitting on Virgie’s side, or “many” in the church and can you give us a tad of hint at the number that adds up to “many” in your brain? Just a rough “guesstimate” will do for me.

Then moving right along we have this part; “She tried to get Bahamian police to remove me from the premises, which fell on deaf ears.” Am I the only one that this does not ring true for? How many of Anna’s ex body guards where there? I hardly think the Bahamian police had been called to remove Ms. Cosby, she would have covered that on “her special” following crashing this gathering, don’t you all think?

“We had a very frank discussion in which Barth told me she thought it was inappropriate the way I had described on television Howard’s loving, tender, heartfelt eulogy.” That round goes to Ms. Barth, MOST people who have watched Howard K. Stern’s eulogy to Anna cried and I still do when I read it. It was loving, tender, and heartfelt with a solemn vow in it and a promise to come home to Anna and Daniel. Did Ms. Cosby sleep through that part too, or did she already know via Virgie and Opri how she was going to spin this. Wouldn’t it have been appropriate to have given the viewers a disclaimer of something like; hey I am a sleazy, tabloid sensationalism type of reporter and I’m with Virgie and Opri, kind of like the T-shirt “I’am with Stupid”. I know I turned off all MSNBC coverage that day for the rest of the month in the Bahamas saga, and I am willing to bet their numbers of viewers would reflect that as well. Rita, where are your stats on how that sold to an international audience? I bet if you had even came in say third place you would have prominently displayed them in your book, so the some of the viewers I would guess, might have been people like me.

Then to break down; “I was stunned that she used those words to describe his angry tirade, and I told her that others had had the same sentiments of his words as I did. I also personally felt that my comments were quite diplomatic. I told her my job was to present what I saw, not to do P.R. for Howard K Stern.” Gloves off kitties, we have “many” and now “others”, which one is it Ms. Cosby? In your mind and your calculations is “many” more then “others”, help us out here, give us a ball park figure on your numbers. We are not mind readers and would any of these “many” or “others” go on the record with you except for Opri’s boy Speer(s). Then she gives us finally her disclaimer but you have to really look for it and it is not given until chapter 11 of this 13 chapter book. “I told her my job was to present what I saw, not to do P.R. for Howard K Stern.” But Rita, is what you saw colored by favors owed or tidbits given to you to help you boost your own ratings? Or is this honesty cloaked as an unbiased statement, did you know from day one, say when MSNBC told you your contract was not going to be renewed that you had to go gunning for Howard K. Stern and his “team”. Ms. Cosby certainly knew how to act as a P. R. person to those she felt loyalty too, she even left out any “truth or substance” to those other people, like say, Virgie, O’Quinn and machine, Opri/Speer(s) and those good ole S. C. boys. You also knew to get statements on the record, or at least a no comment but that you tried to reach someone, so Ms. Cosby knows how this works, she in my opinion KNOWS very well how this works and that is the whole point of the book.

“I reminded her that I had done some favorable stories about Howard recently.” That must have been when she [Ms. Cosby] was the only reporter that said Howard K. Stern was booed when he arrived at the funeral only to later find out it was Virgie that was booed. I must have missed that “some favorable” in Ms. Cosby’s spin. There we go with vague numbers again, we have “many”, “others” and now “some”, all left to the readers imagination. However, most “who dunnit” novels at the end wrap all of the characters up ENTIRELY, not just slam the ones you have a personal beef with and slap award winning investigative journalist on the jacket of the book.

“How’d you even get to the funeral anyway? she demanded. I wasn’t even going to the funeral. I was invited, I laughed. You should get better connections. She didn’t think that was funny.” What does this tells me about Ms. Cosby at the funeral; when she had the power to make Howard K. Stern come to her; “meekly ask”; and now laughing at Ms. Barth and taunting her at a gathering Ms. Cosby crashed. By the way has the owner of that house ever said what Ms. Cosby said in this book about her is true, I missed that statement and endorsement if there was one. Talking about bad manners, no one raised in the south no matter how mad you were, or how wronged you were, would pull that at a reception following a funeral where you had trounced on the most of the mourners, and you never knew Anna Nicole Smith.. I am willing to bet that Ms. Cosby missed manners 101 in school.

For me the version that Ron Rale gave before reading the book rings truer then Ms. Cosby’s account in the book does, how about each of you?

“At the church, Howard and his team had been so mad at Virgie for holding up things that they wouldn’t let Virgie’s son be one of the pallbearers and even refused to let Virgie put out any of her family photographs.” HUH?? Would that be the son that was the FBI agent and knew Don Clark? Or one of the sons that had been in prison? I thought the pall bearers were selected based on their relationship and closeness to Anna Nicole Smith, which certainly, in my opinion, would not have included family members that stood by; watch her be abused, used, trashed, and then been estranged from for years. But hey that is just me!

Finally, we come to the end of this chapter with that gravesite scene none of us soon will forget but this time with a different spin on it. “At the church, Howard and his team had been so mad at Virgie for holding up things and even refused to let Virgie put out any of her family photographs. At the gravesite, however Virgie Arthur made a surprise addition to the many roses that mourners placed atop Anna’s mahogany coffin an 8X10 photo of herself kissing her daughter. In a move that was by some accounts as extreme as the entire funeral itself, Anna Nicole’s mother, Virgie Arthur, asked to go last. She walked to the grave, threw the photo of her and Anna on the coffin, and quickly picked up the shovel. Howard seemed noticeable displeased with this unannounced action. But what could he do? He couldn’t reach down and pull it out. There was no stopping Virgie. She was going to make sure they weren’t able to retrieve the picture. She began shoveling mound after mound of dirt into the grave. I brought you into this world, Virgie remembers thinking, and I’m going to be the last to send you out. She zealously shoveled for a full two minutes, dumping fifty-one shovelfuls of dirt onto her daughter’s mahogany coffin. In spite of everything, Virgie Arthur is happy that the photo of her and Anna was forever laid to rest atop her daughter’s casket.”

Was that the reason for Virgie’s anger at the cemetery, a picture?? What part of Virgie held the funeral up for almost two hours did Ms. Cosby forget here? If she thought she [Virgie] could stop the funeral AGAIN, I doubt she sent any pictures to the church to be displayed. . I am willing to bet Milstein would have honored that if she had. Let’s not forget that Milstein had the final say on the funeral NOT Howard or his “team”.

So with after the roses were placed on the casket a picture was also at the very end was placed there by Virgie; this from the woman who sold every picture she could find of Daniel to Splash, including the “program for the memorial service in Mexia for Daniel”. Just another tiny fact Ms. Cosby chose to gloss over in this book. This is the woman [Virgie] whom Anna had begged for pictures of Daniel when he was younger [after Daniel's death via Howard K. Stern and others], that mommie dearest refused to even have copies made of. Did the picture she put on the casket to be buried with Anna have Daniel in it also or was it all about Virgie? Damn I am glad we finally know the “truth” for Virgie’s action at the cemetery. How many of you could shovel fifty-one or fifty-two “shovelfuls” on your child’s casket? Anna didn’t with Daniel, and I don’t think I could, in fact I had to leave the cemetery before my own parents and brother were lowered into the ground. If I had lost a child I would have been like Anna had been with Daniel, just dig two graves and put me in one, but shovel dirt on the grave and then stomp across it, NEVER!
